When we first arrived, we went to check in. 3 ladies were standing with backs toward the door. Only way to get their attention was to loudly clear our throats. Was told at front desk we had to pay for parking and an additional $60 for a security deposit essentially (was not told that in the email). Once we got to our room, the toilet did not work (was not fixed until 2 days later). Not enough towels for showering. Was told maids don’t clean rooms for 4 whole days at a time. Then, the last day of our stay, the maids cleaned, but, when we came back from traveling, upon entry into our room, we noticed a bag of trash sitting in our bathroom sink (on top of our toothbrushes). Rather than come get it themselves, they gave us a latex glove and a bag to get it ourselves. Also, bed was technically made, but pillows were just thrown at the head of the bed. Not fluffed or anything.

Amazing hotel! My husband and I were in an 8 day vacation! This was our first night stay! At the end of our trip, we said this was our favorite hotel! Highly recommend!!

My room didn’t have a wine bottle opener and the hotel didn’t have one but sold a corked bottle of wine 😑 The water faucet on the sink wasn’t working. The rooms are old. The pull out sofa is the most uncomfortable one I’ve ever laid on.

We had a nice day other than the $4.20 charge for a recapture parking fee. I’ve never heard of in my entire life. It’s not a big deal it’s just I think it should be given to the customer staying at their hotel before they get checked out. I hate surprised, fees, or surprise charges

The hotel is not nice. We rented a suite. It came with a kitchen which I had never seen before as it had a full sized refrigerator and a range too to cook on. The room was far from clean. Behind the couch was nasty stuff and you could tell it hadn’t been moved for sometime to clean. The windows had handprints all over them. The bed sheets were clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean. The breakfast wasn’t bad but not great. When we first got to breakfast, there was nothing out. But after requesting more items, they put more stuff out. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Huge room, nice in all but the fact the toilet flush was broken so chain pulling needed. The flush handle screw portion was severely worn meaning many weeks of others trying to fix it at a minimum. 7 dollar part. But that's Abilene.

Room was very dirty. Stains on pull out couch, ripped mattress protector. Even the walls had stains. It had a weird smell to it too. Only stayed a night, will not be returning.

The gravy on the breakfast buffet was so salty that no one could eat it . When we ask the breakfast attendant about it she said she has requested something different but that is all the company will get her . It wasn’t consumable . Such a waste

Staff for check in was awesome. 2nd night front desk lady was not as nice. It was clean. Pillows were terrible and there are clearly some foundational issues as you could feel the unevenness of the floors in the halls and bathroom tiles on the floor were all uneven and cracked. Overall a good stay. Was a little pricey for the hotel BUT it was family weekend at the local university.

Did not like that no where was I told on expedia or hotel info there was a $100 pet fee. Hotel states pet friendly. I understand a $30 to $50 fee but $100 is excessive. Especially with no statement of the fee.

Overall my stay was good. The staff at this hotel are excellent! Denise is an amazing manager. The hotel does show signs of wear and tear. Carpet in the room was ragged in spots. Looks like it might be time for some upgrades. There was also an issue with the lock on my door that needs to be addressed.

From the moment we arrived, we had a wonderful experience. The lobby was pretty and welcoming, the staff were super friendly, and check-in was a breeze. Our room was clean and nice, with a king bed, sofa, small kitchen table, and kitchen had refrigerator, microwave, sink and plenty of cabinet and counterspace, although we didn't need it. The TV had not only the cable channels but also the ability to login to our Netflix, etc. Unfortunately, I have recently stayed at other places that didn't have that option - I would think that would be standard by now. The breakfast was included and substantial - eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal, waffles, bagels, etc.
I have traveled quite a bit lately and this is one of the best experiences I have had, especially for the price. Would definitely stay there again the next time I'm in Abilene.

We stayed one night, so it was convenient for our trip

We were in town to visit a college. We had our teenage child with us. This is why we got a bed with a pull out couch. When we went to put the couch into “bed mode” we noticed something dark in color through the plastic mattress cover. We unzipped the cover and saw what appeared to be a large very dark stain resembling blood or blood that had tried to be cleaned. It was really gross. Since it was so late, We made a pallet on the floor with the air mattress and bedding that we brought from home. This experience pretty much sealed it, we won’t be back at this Marriott. When we told the front desk personnel, it was just, “ok. We’ll look into it”. You had to know this stain was there and that it would be appalling to most people. I can’t believe you would just cover it up. Do better, Marriott.

Very nice. Hotel was clean breakfast was good and plentiful. This hotel has a basketball court, heated pool and grill. Great location for ACU.

Great hotel! Stopped late at night while traveling during a heavy rain storm. Staff is exceptionally friendly & helpful! Hotel is clean. Breakfast was wonderful. Great place to stay!!
