It was just ok.
This place at first glance was fairly clean, but the longer I stayed the more I could see that the cleaning was just hit and miss. The night desk attendant did not make me feel welcome at all. A bit uncomfortable. Breakfast was ok. The front doors not being automatic made going through with luggage very inconvenient. This is probably the worst Best Western I’ve stayed in.

This was a clean, cool, quiet property with functioning facilities, with a drivable distance to the things I wanted to see in Abilene, like The Shed BBQ and the Frontier Texas museum!
It’s right next to a highway with a view of the gas station sign.

The bed was comfortable.
The person at check in was neither friendly nor helpful, probably because she was talking on the phone and I showed up to check in and had to wait. . . . and wait . . . and wait until she finally put the call on hold and then told me I'd have to pay $40 for early check-in. Additionally, there was no amenity kit (shower cap, Qtips, etc) in the room.
