I found my whole stay largely disappointing. While I understand you get what you pay for and the room rate was inexpensive, even with low expectations I really did not enjoy my stay. When I arrived there was no soap or body wash in the bathroom. The fact that there is no clean up service for a week at a time is definitely not something I was aware of. Lastly, the wifi was barely functional and didn't change even after I alerted the folks working at the hotel.

Overnight a place to rest. The beds were excellent.
Water pressure very weak.
The front desk was always on phone with a booking or client, thus providing weak service, probably not her fault.

Front desk was friendly and helpful. Location was good for me as I have friends in Sun City and also my dentist office is close. Best place for a meal is a walk away...Okatie Ale House. Consistently good food and good servings. Music most nights.

Took forever to checkin. There was a line 15 ppl deep. I paid for a suite. Was not even close. Toilet didn’t flush properly. Not enough parking outside

Well room was okay when I got up next morning no hair dryer so went to desk and two people were talking I said excuse me to get someones attention. I told them there was no hairdryer and he said he would get one right down to my room. Waited 30 min went back and saw the same guy he said can I help you I said hairdryer! Oh yea then got me one. Hotel help not what it use to be.

The 1st room was clean but the water pressure was horrible and there was no stopper to take a bath. The customer service from the desk agents was not the best. The first lady had an accent and when i called she didnt understand what i was asking. The second lady the day i checked out never got up from the desk in the back. The second room they put me in had a stopper but it still let the water out. It also had no mirror on the wall and had a smell.

Room smelled like cigarettes. Air Conditioner was broke. There was a fan in the room that was covered in dust. People above us partied and kept us up til 2 in the morning. Management couldn't care less. Wouldnt stay here if you paid me.

The property looks fine on the outside. The inside is dated. The staff was fine. In the evening the places smells like fried fish and pot, in my opinion. We left some crumbs on a plate and came back to find it covered with ants. Then we started seeing them all over the room. The offered to move us to a different room. We decided the best move was to leave. If you stay there you will see it was worth the extra money to stay at the Hampton Inn.

The room was comfortable, spacious, and well-appointed. Check-in and check-out were efficient and simple. My only quibble was that I could never get the WiFi to connect—not a major issue on this brief personal trip, but at other times it would have been an annoyance. For an extended stay, this would be an excellent choice—if the WiFi works!

The hotel isn't horrible but not the best either!! Our thermostat in the room was broken we couldn't change the temperature in our room which sucks. Some things were broken it really just needs an update it wasn't dirty just older. No bugs no ruff raff would stay again if needed.

The property was great but there was no internet. Only one young girl at the counter and she didn’t speak English. Said she was there by herself with nobody to call in case of emergency or repair the internet.

This was my second stay at Candlewood in Bluffton. The first time I was there, another guest kindly warned me and my grandchildren not to walk on the paths outside the hotel because of snakes. I assumed the guest must have seen one. On my visit this past weekend, my Granddaughter asked me why there was a box with a hole in it by the front door? I walked closer and the box said, "Danger, Do Not Touch, Venomous". I then noticed the boxes were everywhere around the hotel. They obviously are snake traps. How can a hotel stay opened if it has a snake infestation? This left me wondering how many snakes get inside the hotel? I will never return.

Rooms doors did not latch changed rooms twice sane problem on 4th floor. Finally got a room on 3rd floor which locked.

Our room was very dirty. The overhead lights in the kitchen/main portion of the unit did not function, staff was informed of this after check in but the issue was never addressed. The paint & trim around the bathroom door was damaged, as if the door had been forced open, and the lock did not function. There was dirty adhesive residue in the shower where some type of dispenser used to be, and most of all there was mold in & around the AC unit. Every morning we woke up coughing and full of phlegm, as if we’d both smoked a pack of cigarettes the night before. Aside from all this, it’s a convenient location, however next time we will stay at the Hampton Inn next door.

We have stayed in Candlewood Suites in other locations. We found that the door latch broken in the room so we had to do a makeshift safety latch at night. We asked at the desk about an ice machine and was told that there was one in the room freezer. This was after having to wait on the desk lady and housekeeping to finish their chit-chat. We explained it did not work. No one offered to bring ice for us. We spilled a cup of water in the elevator by accident. We held the elevator and told the front desk. The lady never got up to look or send someone to clean it up even though we stressed it is a fall hazard. We finally left. This will be the last time we use a Candlewood facility. For the price of the room I really expected better service and facility.

Like the accessibility. Did not like the encounter with the copperhead snake at the pool. Booked a suite with a king size bed, was given the room number, but they had someone else in the room, although the room was in the system as clean and available for customers. We ended up in a suite with a queen size bed.
