It was hard to leave Hideaway! I had a few hickups and staff were very responsive. One was an airconditioner that broke down, the staff quickly moved me to another similar seaside bure. The other was on my second visit when I had left an major electronic device behind in my hotel in Suva. Staff at Hideaway jumped in to contact the hotel in Suva, ensure the item would be transferred to Hideaway the same day. That was a huge relief. all in all, I would recommend Hideaway and I would stay there again should I ever be lucky enought to be in Fiji again.

Had plenty of activities happening all day at the resort if you were looking for something to do. Staff were very friendly.

Lots of reports on various platforms re staff and their attitude. I found that 95% were delightful but just on my last night I sat down to dinner and 2 waitresses ignored me, then weren’t that friendly and then after requesting the dessert menu was completely forgotten. I gave up. But overall staff were lovely. Some calling me by name.
I did request an upgrade on my room if available as my first room was a bit ordinary and was given a stunning room which looked fairly new…I am glad I asked.
The reef is right there and snorkelling at high tide is magical and the water temperature is perfect. I hired a car and enjoyed a day out and a couple of restaurant meals. Sadly the meals are of poor quality and the breakfast buffet is small. BUT I did absolutely enjoy my stay which was 4 nights. I have moved on to a slightly more upmarket resort nearby.

Pros-
The bures were really spacious and the beds comfy, gardens lush and well maintained. Breakfast had enough choice. Staff were very nice and helpful.
Cons-
The resort is definitely in need of maintenance everything is starting to look like it’s falling apart particularly around the pool restaurant area. We didn’t have a hot shower the whole time we were there. The food was just ok and not many options around.
