The only reason for the markdown was the pool being out of service for maintenance.My son loves to swim no matter the weather. The close proximity to the beach was great and the room itself was nice with a great view of the pond. There was an alligator for our viewing pleasure. We were within walking distance to restaurants and shops.

It appeared that they were short of help. The ones on duty tried to be very helpful. They were also renovating the floor I was first assigned to. I had to be moved due to it had not been cleaned. The second room, the toilet continued to run, and there wasn’t a repairman on duty. They were very quick to put me in another room. The third room was fine. I enjoyed my stay, and the complementary breakfast as well. I will say that the people on duty were very kind, and I will return.

Our stay was okay, it was a wet cool night and the heater howled like a fire engine! So I had to turn off the heat and so I feel I should be issued a refund!

manager not upfront about condition of hotel he knew entire time i was checking in that i wanted pool and hot tub for my 8 day vacation. said nothing about being broken. but did refund my money for stay so i could find somewhere else.Wished he would have toldme when checking in saved mealotof packing and repacking...

The stay was average. Disappointed in that did not know until checking in that the hotel was under renovation. I had pre paid via Hotels.com with my reward so could not change. This is prob not hotel’s fault. The room was clean and adequate. No fancy frills. Not a bad place and would stay again.

Was told day before we could check in by 3. Arrived around 3 and was told 20 minutes. Came back around 4:30 and was told a few hours. There was a waiting list. Checked again at 5:30, room still not available. Was told by front desk clerk they would take $40 off the room for the inconvenience. Also heard them tell other waiting guests this. When we checked out the next day, no discount was applied to our bill. I asked the current desk clerk and he didn’t know what I was talking about and said he would check with the other managers. Still never received the discount. Hotel was nice, staff had some major communication issues across departments.

The bathroom had mold all on the walls, the ceiling, and around the tub. The beds were very uncomfortable, the iron didnt really work, the ironing board was broken, the balcony furniture was dirty and spider webs were everywhere on the balcony as well. The furniture . I never will stay there again.

This is my 3rd time visiting this hotel. Now it is dated, fan in bathroom didnt work and we saw 2 roaches in the bathroom upon arrival. Pool was great, front desk was great, housekeeping sucked but we had a good time at the beach!! Breakfast was average

The hotel had a moldy feel about it. Our a/c kicked on and off non-stop. It made it difficult to sleep with it on and off the whole night. The food area felt dirty. I got water from the juice machine and it had stuff floating in it.

We went for a one night stay but wished we had stayed longer. The room was clean and staff very friendly. At first i was concerned about noise due to room right by elevator but did not hear a single noise the entire stay. i would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was fine, we had a room with a balcony overlooking the pool and pond, we saw lots of turtles and even an alligator! My only complaint about it was the girl at check-in, she was very unfriendly, acted like my presence was an inconvenience to her, she didnt give me any information. I was very unhappy to find out the next morning that breakfast was over at 930am and we missed it, I just assumed it would be available later. Not a huge deal but I feel like she should've mentioned it at check-in.

THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING I LIKED ABOUT THIS PROPERTY STARTING WITH THE POOR, UNPROFESSIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE I RECEIVED ON FRIDAY EVENING JULY 28, 2023. THE FRONT DESK LEAD EVEN CALLED THE POLICE ON ME BECAUSE I TOLD HER SHE HAD A NASTY ATTITUDE AND SHE SHOULD NOT BE SERVING THE PUBLIC. I COMPLAINED ABOUT THE THERMOSTAT NOT WORKING, FLAT SCREEN DID NOT WORK, AND THE FRIDGE ROCKED BACK AND FOURTH(UNSTABLE). PERMANENT BLACK MARKS ON TOILET SEATS AND THE ROOM SMELLED HORRIBLE. MANAGEMENT LIED TO ME ABOUT SOME TYPE OF REFUND BUT LEFT WORK WITHOUT COMMUNICATING ANY FURTHER. SO I WOULD MOST DEFINITELY NOT ADVISE ANYONE TO A DIME TO UTILIZE THIS FACILITY. THE PLACE IS UTTERLY DISGUSTING AND NASTY!!!

Too many complains. Breakfast was "free" but is barely eatable. Long lines, especially for waffle machines. No enough places to sit. It's not sized to capacity. The bathroom door had a broken lock. The sink plug was always closed, wasn't opening by a handle on the faucet. The was not enough bedding for the couch - we had a suit - the staff could not provide a blanket, just gave us some long rug / towel. One evening we ran out of towels - only 3 were in the room for 5 of us - they said the towels are being washed and they will deliver them later - never did.

I liked the area the access to the Beach and the customer service was great. I did not like that the air didn't work properly in the first room and the tv either but we did receive a new room. The sink and the tub in the nee room was stopped up. For the price I expected a better experience.

It's hot in the summer in Alabama - on arrival our room was incredibly hot and humid. The carpet was even damp. The AC was on and set to 74 but the room never got comfortable due to the humidity. I was disappointed. Felt like an uncomfortable motel 6.

Great location for this hotel. Walking distance everywhere. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel needs furniture upgrade. We stay in some king sweet at 5th floor which was excellent but furniture in the room looks really old and sofa very dirty... Bigger TV screen may help too, but not necessary for enjoying room. Summary very good place for staying again, with some details what Marriott owners can keep in mind.
