Room was comfortable. Lounge chairs were dirty/stained. Benchtop cooktop would have been appreciated to cook small meals or even supply cooking utensils to use at onsite BBQ facilities.

Excellent walkable location BUT hill to walk up to property was steep which could be problematic for some people, All taps leaked and shower dripped constantly, bathroom cupboard had water damage and falling apart at the base, hot water ran out quickly, no stove top, had ants in kitchen and bathroom, and room and furniture was in dire need of updating - should have been rented at a reduced rate. Therefore, booking advertisement was misleading. When speaking with management, they mentioned the room was to be renovated soon, so maintenance approach was minimal. It's a shame that this room reflects poorly on the hotel. Not sure of the state of other rooms. The Anchor Bar was very good. Would only stay again if we had a renovated room with fully equipped kitchen as the location was excellent! I'd call hotel before booking to inquire about room condition and its amenities!

The property was well located and the staff and service was great. The room itself was clean but very dated for the cost. Simple things like light globes missing leaking tap Tv and remote that need replacing. It would be lovely if it had a facelift.

The property advertises that Wi-Fi is available, however it is only available at the reception and desk check-in not in the individual rooms. This was not included on the website.

Good hotel, amazing view, the balcony is very nice, bathroom really good, a lot of space. The facilities could be a bit better for the price, looks old and cheap and miss a gaz cooker or electric hotplates? Otherwise wise all good 👍

It’s got incredible views, decent restaurant, bed is small but comfy, and staff are super pleasant and friendly…….that’s about it. The property is run down - inside and out, requires upkeep or an overhaul, and housekeeping is poor…….is it a “you get what you pay for?” The stay wasn’t a bargain. The room was not swept or mopped - hair and bits on the floor, tables benches not wiped, the fridge looks newish, the bathtub not clean - hair inside the tub, a huge stain on the bottom of the tub, hair and dust and base of toilet, cobwebs on the windows. I like that 1.5 rolls of toilet paper and 2 tiny tubes of shampoo are there to cover your stay, reception is only open certain hours - so if you run out of toilet paper in the middle of the night it’s a problem. The thin tiny blanket provided is not enough to warm some people at night (we stayed during winter). Only the spa is heated and only one pool is available when they claim 2. Parking is good but some access and spaces are very tight so if you have a larger vehicle it may be inaccessible in some parts. Doors and balcony doors lock but are not super secure. There are long term or permanent tenants living there, with a “you’re in my home” attitude - so you will hear loud music, or they will put cones on parking that they believe belong to them (there is no allocated parking), they will be loud in the early hours of the morning…..I guess we all want to feel the “my home” vibes where we live. If clean, I would maybe stay again.

The view is stunning! The staff go above and beyond to make your stay as amazing as possible. All tours pick up from the accommodation which is handy. Everything you need is nearby. It’s my second time staying and will stay again.

The hotel is very closed to the city. That a big plus. And the view from the Balkone on the sea is amazing. But the Interieur of the room is old and used. I think they need a renovation and new modern furniture.

Restaurant food at The Anchor Bar was exceptional, credit to the chef. Good location to Airlie Main Street. Rooms are very dated and although maintained really showing their age. Noise from other guests very loud to the point of seeming to be in the same room. Connecting doors may as well be left open. No privacy on balconies at all and need to keep curtains closed in case the neighbours are on their balconies. Bathrooms could do with a really good scrub floor to ceiling.

the unit is spacious with good views. unfortunately NO wi-fi exept 200m down the hill at reception. Also no batteries in remote could not watch television. Lady at reception was friendly

Great views. Spacious and well appointed. Local cockatoos visited for a hand feed. Only negative was no WiFi in the rooms.

Large room with balcony and sea views, clean and well appointed self-contained neat and clean. Walk up the hill may be challenging for some, i didn't have a problem with it. Great ocean views from the balcony..short walk to restaraunts and bars. Resort has a nice bar, restaurant, pool,and spa.

We had a studio apartment for 4 of us and there was plenty of room. Great view. Kitchen was perfect for what we needed. Woolworths was just down the road, but it was a very steep hill to walk back up.

Old unit, needs new carpet and total renovation of the bathroom and kitchen. The bed was tiny. On the final two nights (over the weekend), there were not enough parking bays, so we had to park at the bottom of the hill near Woolworths.

Great location and view of the water from your apartment. There is also a great little local bar attached to the complex which does great food and cocktails! It also has a pool and beautiful views to watch while you eat and drink.

The view from this room was sensational, sadly that is where the positives end as that is the ONLY thing good about this place.The room was in desperate need of a good clean and overhaul. The shower still had talcum powder on the floor from previous guests, the balcony was filthy with bird poo and at least 50 cigarette butts in the pot plant.We stayed 5 nights and were only supplied with towels upon arrival. Inquired about fresh towels and was told clean towels would cost an extra $3 per towel, this may be in the fine print on their conditions but seriously.... I have never stayed anywhere that you have to pay for clean towels especially when guests are staying more than a night or 2. The laundry facilities for guests to use were frighteningly dirty, decided it was better to wait to wash when I got home. The parking is atrocious, their info states that there is parking for a vehicle for each room, not the case... sometimes you can find a park other times it’s out on the street. The car parks are filthy. The whole place is dirty!This place is definitely no resort and I would consider staying elsewhere. Apart from the spectacular view there is nothing else to rate this place.

We only stayed for 2 nights, the location was great, very central, walking distance to both shopping centre and cruise boat marina. The cooking facilities was not great, felt dirty. Didn't use stove stop as plates rusty.

We stayed in a studio apartment for this visit and it’s big enough, but a bit more traffic noise then the last unit we stayed in further up the hill. The views are really what you stay for and they didn’t disappoint
