Property was kind of dirty on the inside carpet and elevator, the bed was not soft nor were the pillows which made for an uncomfortable night, breakfast was ok but eggs were dry and over cooked. On the up side the front desk staff were nice.

This was nice little hotel that was very clean and comfortable. The room was comfortable and quiet, with a nice bed and a cold AC. Breakfast was filling and hot to start the day.

This was our second time staying here at the Holiday Inn Express in Clute,TX. We love coming down to Surfside Beach and staying overnight. We've found that the other hotels weren't as clean as this one. You really get what you pay for when it comes to hotels. The morning breakfast was good as well.

Some of the weight room equipment has a malfunction like the treadmill swimming pool was a little bit cloudy property maintenance I seen empty cups laying all over the place elevator floor was a little bit dirty

If somebody on a floor above you walks heavily the noise echoes very loudly in the floor below. There was no person directly above our room, yet it sounded like a herd of elephants was above our room. Noise finally ended at midnight, started again at 0500.

Everything was great overall! The only issue we had was our towel situation. We went out to the beach for a bit and came back to our room around 3pm to take showers and get ready for a wedding. We came back to our used towels gone and no replacements. We asked for towels and said none were available. So we had to shower without any towels! Not ideal.

Comfortable beds are a must where I stay. I believe the bed I slept on could have passed for concrete . Fred Flinstone could have slept on it. The shower had great water pressure which is a must. Breakfeast was ok, it would have been better if they had working toaster. Also I got to breakfeast at 8:00am and all the bacon had been eaten. Asked worker if they had more bacon coming out . She explained that all bacon for the day had been put out. I guess they ratio it .

We enjoyed our overnight stay here. The location was good and convenient to everything. Our breakfast was very good. They offered scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, and fruit. We would stay here again.

For the most part, the hotel was clean, the beds were comfortable, and we did not experience any major problems. However, there were a few minor issues. 1. We woke up and found a roach by the door, but were able to kill it and did not see any more. 2. We asked the front desk for more towels and they told us, they did not have anymore. They offered to wash the used ones, but said it would take a couple hours. 3. There was an alarm clock in the room that was preset early in the morning and it woke us up several times.

Hotel was just what we needed for a quick weekend getaway. Not gonna knock your socks off, but wasn't horrible by any means. A/C worked well, breakfast was ok, not great, beds were comfy, no real complaints. Staff was friendly. Not the cleanest hotel, but considering it was close to the beach and people swimming constantly, it would be hard to keep it spotless daily.

This was our 1st time staying at a holiday inn. We checked in on the 8th of July and checked out on the 11th. Day 1 the AC in our room is leaking and the floor is all wet, i told the front desk nothing was done. Then im charged for 5 people because thats how many I had in my party. Well the 5th person got the pull out bed of the couch but had no blankets or pillows for her. I went to the font desk again and they said it was extra for blankets and pillows for my 5th guess. So i just took off of the other beds and made due. After that I noticed our room wasnt cleaned its been 24 hrs, well now you have to request the rooms to be cleaned ( i wasnt told this). So every day i have to go back to the front desk and ask for towls because even though i requested the cleaning it wasnt done. On day 2 the fire alarms go off around midnight no one can tell us why my husbands PTSD is now horriable. Im now running low on potty paper and still having to clean the room myself by taking out the trash, getting new towls from the front. Nothing i have voiced my concerns about or asked for has been fixed. Day 3 still nothing has changed, the breakfast attendent (tall skinny and colored end hair ) is so rude . She will bump into you and act like your bothering her and I even said Good morning and turned the other way and ran into the bathroom with her phone. I asked when will the cinniamon rolls be out and she replyed its the weekend we dont do cinniamon rolls (that was a bummer). The breakfast is

Clean. New. Comfortable beds. Pool was small but nice. Hot tub was cold, never got hot but did have bubbles. Breakfast was a nice selection but terrible. Need to hire a new cook!! Overall great stay and would stay again.

Stained carpet in the room, otherwise it was clean. They use "Dove soap" products, that I do not like. Common area tuned to CNN on TV monitor. Could use USB ports at bedside tables. Side chair in our room was significantly stained. Key card reader was hit and miss. Climate control was good. Nice Exercise Room. Good breakfast selections.
