We love this hotel and have been staying here for over 10 years. We love the olde worlde charm. Room was comfortable and renovated and the staff were excellent.

Air conditioning wasn’t working, there was a note from management provided and a little fan…
Doesn’t help when it’s cold at night, and heating was required. Won’t stay there again.

right next door to the new RSL, so convenient for the evening meal. Lovely continental breakfast included and the hotel had all the old world charm.

Very old world charm.

Comfy, clean ,quiet, friendly staff, newly renovated rooms but lots of heritage , highly recommend

Lovely place - slightly out of town and next to the RSL

My sister and I booked a twin share room, but ended up really with a room EACH, with steps, a doorway, but no door between them. It was perfect - together, but our own space too! Very unusual, and kind of in keeping with the feeling of being from another era. Comfortable, clean, friendly, everything we could want - and old fashioned. Like revisiting our childhood, but with mod cons!

Bedroom was ok, however fin oil column heater was defective and couldn't be used on our first night which was a bit of a cold night, having to request an additional blanket instead the next day.
Staff were helpful and free breakfast provided was nice.
Location is pretty good with a coffee shop and RSL across the street.
3 Sisters and shopping mall within walking distance.
The hotel is old and you can see it plus hear it when walking (old building squeaking floor).
We didn't feel comfortable in siting in the old sofas on the ground floor because of stains. I also didn't see many guests using them either.
Compared to other accommodation available around the area, it seemed to be one of the best options.

A lovely old place with leadlight windows, ornate high ceilings, a common lounge with chess and board games set up . Creaky floorboards with an "old" smell to the place! The staff were friendly and helpful. Despite having a clearly marked gluten free toaster, there was no gluten free bread! Sometimes we got parking on site and other times on the street. Rsl next door was handy for food but a long wait as it was peak times. I would happily stay again. The beds were very comfy, the ensuite was modern but had a shower curtain which allowed water to overspray onto the floor a bit.

Stayed with family at the cottage for 2 nights. Some of the issues included:
•squeaky beds and floor (the corridor)
•unable to access internet. Despite we reported to the reception but the only response we received is “ it should be working”
•missing some kitchen necessities such as scourer, dish washing tablet
•cleanliness is not the greatest

This hotel was a fantastic find! It has so much character & history inside, also has chess & checkers for you to play if that’s your thing. It’s directly across the road from the RSL which is a bonus and within a 10 minute walk from the shops.

They don’t give you what is advised
Bar was closed during advertised opening times.
No face washer
No coffee other than instant for breakfast.
Staff seemed to think it was too much trouble to respond to requests.

The hotel is old and you can see it. The breakfast was small but really good! There are a lot of stairs in the hotel. Everything was all in all good.

Lovely hotel, a little old but room was spacious and bed comfy. In a great location. Pity they don’t utilise the common spaces more- it was all closed up at 6pm, even the bar!

Very cool old hotel but not kept up and needs more cleaning

We stayed for one night. The room was small (and the bathroom minuscule!) but clean and comfortable. There was no milk provided for tea/coffee and the TV antenna was unplugged, so we had to spend some time working out how to get it working. The position of the TV over the bed was very awkward and a bit uncomfortable for watching TV. You wouldn't want to stay here if you were planning to spend much time in the room, but if you just needed somewhere to sleep and wash, it's perfectly adequate. The included self-service continental breakfast was decent, with a range of yoghurts, cereals, fruit, bread spreads and juices available. There was tea and coffee available but we didn't try it. The paperwork we received on checking-in said said the bar was open but it looked closed when we walked past. The walk from the hotel to the shopping area is quite steep, but not too far. There is a good coffee shop across the road and also the RSL for dinner. It's a very short drive to the local attractions.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The property was clean and comfortable. It was a very pleasant place to stay.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Great location and not far to walk to the Main Street. RSL is just next door which is convenient for dinner. Beds were comfortable. It is an old heritage style building, which is beautiful and intriguing. If you prefer something more modern, this place might not be for you.

Lots of character

We stayed in room 25 which is a family room enough for 4 people. Located upstairs away from the traffic. The room itself is tidy, but the tables were a bit dusty. Since it's a family room, we found there were not enough amenities in the room. No spare toilet roll or tissues which should be stocked below the bathroom sink. We requested a spare toilet roll, but found the tissue box only had like 5 tissues left and by then, it was 11pm and no staff were around to replenish. Overall, all staff were friendly and the highlight was the free continental breakfast. It's better than expected, enough DIY hot drinks, cereals and toasts, milk etc. Also liked the fireplaces throughout downstairs to keep the hotel warm. Next door to the modern RSL club which had really delicious food (ate dinner there). Don't mind staying here again overnight if there are no other available modern hotels around at blue mountains.

Really didn't know what to expect, first impression was not the best but when we got inside and to our room and took in the character of the building and realised how cool it was . Breakfast in the morning was good . Kids loved it

The heated pool and outdoor space looked brand new. Had a great time having a night swim in the middle of winter. The location was great, right across the street from the marina. The room was also very clean and updated. Highly recommended!

Have stayed here many times, used to be my 'go to' in Katoomba. But no more. Unfortunately, the last few stays have been ordinary.
The rooms I'm given seem to get smaller and smaller each visit, this one was one of the smallest rooms I've ever stayed in in NSW. Not even a table and chair, as no room! Bed, walls, cupboard, that's it. The bathroom is equally tiny, and they are old and in need of an upgrade.
But the biggest negative this time was the breakfast. They used to include a full buffet breakfast. Great for pre-hiking day. No more, now its cereal and toast with some ordinary fruit pieces. VERY disappointing, and leaves me with no reason any longer to stay here.
2.0
Room not too clean (a lot of dust, grime and spots of mould). Tad noisy from traffic (room facing main road) and thin walls (floor board creeks, walking on floor above and talking in other rooms). Room felt stuffy and small. Breakfast and kitchenette underwhelming.
Did like the fireplaces in the common areas and the free boardgames (even though pieces missing).
Wouldn’t stay again

Just good enough for one night stay
The hotel is a bit old.

We had a group stayed just 1 night for our Star Gazing adventure. The hotel has been renovated with better looking than when we stayed over 2 years ago. Value for money 👍
