Just an ok hotel. The room wasn't super clean or in great shape. There was a power outage in half of the hotel. So the elevator and A/C stopped working for a while. After the power outage the TV never worked again (the TV would turn on but no TV shows would load). The breakfast was ok and typical of most hotel free breakfast. Lobby was small and pool was locked when i tried to go swimming. The exercise room is terrible and probably the worst I have seen in a long time. I tried to use it because i enjoy working out when I am on vacation. But it was small and the equipment was old and broken.

Your new policy of a $25 early check-in fee will keep us from ever coming back.
There was a temporary power outage and there didn’t seem to be a plan. The staff simply shrugged when we had questions about the problem.

Its an ok place. We've stayed a couple times. Last trip we stayed on the third floor and it smelled stale and smoky. Our previous trip we stayed on the first floor and there was no smell and it was cleaner.

Bed mattress uncomfortable.
Pillows uncomfortable and felt like they were stuffed with rags.
Best western should be ashamed to even have them on a bed.
I feel ashamed for operators of this particular hotel and certainly the employees.
The extremely small pillows and lumpy mattress was of a so cheap quality that no one could possibly have a good night’s sleep.
This hotel does a good business in this town. So there is no excuse for quality of the mattress and pillows.

The location is not far from downtown Abbeville, and getting into town from there is fast and easy. The room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. The staff were very nice, and the breakfast was more than adequate. The only negative about the room was the air conditioner, which was too cold and very noisy when it was on. We had to sleep with it off. But this hotel is a good choice for anyone who needs a place for a short stay. There are also lots of places to eat nearby.

I actually did like this hotel a lot and have stayed there twice. The categories I have low rating two were the amenities due to vending machines being broken or empty, sparse breakfast with a sign that they won’t provide cutlery or plates, and no other amenities to speak of. The other was due to ongoing construction going on inside of of the hotel the woke me up on multiple nights due to workers in the rooms right above me. They were very loud walking, dropping things, etc working through the whole night and I was getting woken up at 3-6AM multiple times.

The bathtub didn't drain so I when my shower was done i was standing in a foot if filthy water.
The towles were paper thin, the mini fridge made loud noises and there was a frog in my room singing all night.

I reserved a suite King/Sofa bed. We had to go downstairs to ask for bedding for the sofa bed we were only given one sheet, one fleece blanket, and one pillow. I went to the nearby Walmart and purchased another pillow.
When we moved the coffee table to pull the sofa bed out, there was crumbs.
You can fill the spring through the mattress, then we started feeling something bitting us, it had to have bed bugs.
We folded the sofa bed back and we all slept in the King bed both nights we were there.
After going out the next day upon our return we notice the unmade bed and used towels still in the bathroom, no one had ever came to clean the room.
I got Lysol and just sprayed everything as best I could. We couldn’t check out and go somewhere else because the town is small with 3 hotels and it was Easter weekend so they were all fully booked.
That was the most uncomfortable stay I’ve ever had, and I have stayed to Best Westerns before.

The staff was unusually kind and helpful. For example, when the desk clerk saw that i was compromised due to knee surgery, she gave me a stool to help me get up on the high bed.

Shower drain was clogged along with the bathroom sink. Had to change rooms the drains were clogged so bad. Walls needed new paint in some areas of both rooms I stayed in. Beds are comfortable. Overall ok stay, but I think I will stay in a hotel in Lafayette, LA next time.

Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating! The room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. I am actually trying to buy a mattress just like that for my grandmother. I don’t think she has slept that well in over a year. The fridge in our room was way bigger than normal mini fridges and even had a microwave in the room.

I accidentally booked at this property for the wrong date. I wanted 3 rooms for 3/19 and accidentally booked for 3/20. I called the property immediately and they directed me to Expedia. I then spent 90 mins on the chat feature with Expedia to try and get the rooms refunded due to an honest mistake because the hotel was sold out for 3/19. The property only agreed to refund 1 of the 3 rooms even though they were sold out for the night I wanted and couldn’t give me the rooms. Extremely disappointed in the “night manager” that was extremely rude about the situation and refused to help because it was “her policy.” I guess she needed the $222 more than I did. Pretty pathetic way to treat people though. Would never book at this property again if it was the only hotel within 100 miles.

We were greeted upon entrance and had no issues with checking in. Our room was ready for us with all the amenities you needed without having to go and ask for towels, wash rags, etc. They even had the pool open for those willing to swim in 70 degree weather.
