The casino next door had the bass blaring until 1am. The the patrons gather in the courtyard after closing for the next hour. When the casino was closed ,the staff of the hotel partied until done. I was originally assigned a dorm room but because the wifi wasn't working. And the pool was not functioning as well. Not a good experience for my first visit. Don't send anyone else there. Pleasr

Pedro's Inn is no longer the backpacker hotel it once was. Under new ownership, truly different environment. Environment is more of a local Belizean feel, than backpacker/hostel feel. The indoor bar and grill is now a club which has been closed due to covid. There is an outdoor bar and restaurant. The staff is still very helpful and friendly! They were always willing to help with any request. We were disappointed with the lack of lounge chairs by the pool. (picture is old on all advertisements) There are only picnic tables. The beds were also very uncomfortable. Air conditioning was nice and the food was always good!

The Hotel had a nice pool and the people where really friendly. Located at a quiet back street and it’s less than 10min walk to everything. Access to the ocean/beach thru a partner resort

Nice place. Backpackers spot for sure. Sometimes housekeeping would come into room but not leave soap (which is very cheaply made). A few times they didn’t leave towels and had to ask the office. Weird. Decent place to stay when looking for a reasonable place to stay.

I little bit older, but clean. I didn’t like that it took almost 30 minutes to get our room because they couldn’t find our reservation.

All staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Not the most comfortable beds, but the low price reflects that. Our bathroom ceiling leaked a little water after rain and our friends room completely flooded. Location was next to backside of airstrip. "Ladies night" was more of a party for the locals that went from about 11pm until 4am when the police decided to finally shut things down from the chaos. The owners dogs were friendly and roamed the property. A veterinary clinic was also located on site. We spent time at the sister hotel located directly on the beach since Pedro's is only a few blocks away.

Pedro's Hotel is definitely a place you go to save money. The first morning we were there, the water just stopped. No running water. The staff had no insight as to why and never offered any compensation or anything more than "it shouldn't happen again". We had to request full sized towels because the only ones we were initially given were hand towels. It's right next door to the animal shelter, so you'll hear barking all night long. The room smelled slightly of urine. The locking safe is about big enough to put a cell phone in, but not a laptop or anything like that. But, it's air conditioned, cheap, and close to the city. I wouldn't stay here again, but it wasn't my worst experience.

Room is very dark, with old wood walls. Old window and furniture. Airport runway is right behind hotel, but planes only run 6 to 6. Bed was good. Hot water shower. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Too many short cuts by hotel to save money. 16” TV, no hot water for Vanity, shower head right across the opening so to turn it on you either had to get sprayed cold water or hide behind the curtain, side table lamp but no outlet to plug it in, blanket was no more than a thin cover, pillowsnlumoy, heater wouldnt turn on which would’ve liked since it was cold and rainy. Got out of there first thing in morning. If it wasnt for the rain and how far it was from downtown, would’ve left same night we checked in. Money lost wasnt worth the discomfort all around.Hate to write a bad review but can’t recommend this place in good conscious.

The beds were uncomfortable and you could feel the individual cotton balls in the tiny pillow (singular) provided. The shower did not drain and there was no hot water. The air conditioning made a noise louder than a lawnmower until finally something clacked loudly and a piece of metal fell out onto me. The TV is a desktop monitor. You aren't allowed extra towels unless you turn in your existing ones—and on the subject, we were charged for destroying a towel despite rather unremarkable shower habits?
Finally, be advised that wifi is only available around the office.

The overall place was pretty nice. Room was small and bed was uncomfortable but still a good deal for those on a budget. The cleanliness was at a level to be expected for the price. Would definitely stay here again. Pretty cool location because it’s just on the outside of town (10 min walk). But that allows you too explore other areas too. BONUS: they allow you too use the amenities at a nicer resort style place down the street because I think it is related. This area has a nice little beach and little pool with restaurant.

I left my wallet in the laundry, which they do inexpensively, and got it back with all contents. (I tipped the housekeepers well at least, but it wasn't required.) Service is awesome, the lady at the front desk is great, and the owner can give you travel advice. A little off the main area, but you get it a little quieter in exchange. Easy walk to downtown. Or you can get one of those carts, I walk.

middle of everything and easy access to everything, very good for the price and clean. Bar gets alittle loud on ladies night, kitchen and pizza is great. If your gonna do any inland trips it is way cheaper to get a hotel inland and just relax and do water stuff here.

Basic accommodation. Does the job if your not picky like me. Clean and comfortable. Great island

Room was clean and has all the basics you need for a trip to San Pedro. The staff were always helpful and friendly, the bar was great ! Ask Dave for a rum punch ! Met the owner Peter he's a very nice guy. The whole island seemed a bit quirky at first, but after a couple days you'll fit right in.

Is this a five star resort? No. Is this a safe, clean, serviceable hotel with friendly staff and outgoing guests? Yes. Pedro's is situated a bit off the beaten path as you need to go down a side street to find it. The hotel is actually a complex of a group of buildings that surround the pool and another building across the street. The beds are two twin xl's put together to make a king size bed. I did not notice any type of gap or discomfort due to this. The pillows were great and the linens were clean and soft. The shower had excellent temperature and pressure and the room had a safe, a dresser and a clothes rack with hangers. If your idea of a vacation is sitting in your room, this isn't the spot for you as the rooms are very basic. If you plan to be out and just need a base for sleeping, this is your spot. I found the staff to be exceptionally helpful. I had questions about booking a trip to Guatemala, the hotel did not offer a tour, yet they still explained step by step how to plan the trip and what to expect in that country. They were great. Also, I had no trouble with the wifi. I would happily stay here again!
Note- the hotel does have a bar. The bar is popular. If your room is one near the bar, it can be loud. As my luck would have it, the big bar night was the night that I needed to go to bed early. So in my case, this was a negative. I didn't need to sleep, I would have been out enjoying the scene.

I just returned from a 6 night stay there and had the "WORST" experience I've "EVER" had on a vacation.
At "midnight" after listening to the music "BLARE"(The music was "Rock Concert" loud(This is not and exaggeration!) and thump the walls of my room I went and asked the bartender and asked when the show ends. She stated "3AM". I asked if I could move rooms to the building further away. She stated I needed to talk to the owner "Peter" who was there and I noticed she told him I wanted to talk to him. When I walked up to him "before I even said a word" he jumped out of his seat and made these remarks which trust me is "exactly" what he said "What the f*ck is your problem. What the f*ck do you want. All you do is complain and no one likes you". To say the least I was speechless because I've never had anyone ever talked to me like this in my life especially someone who I "PAID" to stay at there hotel. He was staggering, slurring his words, and spitting at me so it was obvious he was drunk. I asked why he's speaking to me like this when all I wanted to ask him was to switch rooms? He stated "All you do I complain, no one f*cking likes you, and get the f*ck out of his hotel". I went to my room and fell asleep at 4am. This happened again to me two nights later! It got worse but I can only type so much here. ***Please don't give this gut your hard earned money. My vacation was RUINED and Expedia refunded me. He obviously has no clue and desire to want to make all his guests happy!

If you are looking for a cheap hotel this might be good for you, 5 minutes from town. Small rooms, at least they have air condition and hot water

We liked the cleanliness of the room. We were disappointed with the noise of the road right beside us, the dogs barking throughout the night, and the loud party going on over our heads.

What a great find! I needed a last minute room and was very happy with booking at Pedro's, especially the great rate. The staff was great, the rooms are clean and the bar is tons of fun!

This place is great for the following reasons: 1)price 2) cleanliness 3) nice pool 4) bar and pizza on site is nice for when you don't want to walk, or do want to meet people 5) i liked the location because it is sort of out of the fray of downtown (if you don't want to have to walk to the water or to downtown, its probably not a good choice) -- everything you need is nearby.

This is a solid budget stay in what is a fairly pricey island (definitely on the low end in price and perhaps the least expensive option in SP). Basic - nothing fancy - but clean and well maintained. Location is a little out-of-the-way which this traveler likes and can be a blessing in disguise. Very little in San Pedro seems to be more than a fifteen-minute walk from point A to point B. There are several small stores for basics, a supermarket and a nice breakfast/coffee spot within five minutes' walk of Pedro's. Wi-fi is available in the common area in and near the bar/office (in the same building as the hostel portion of the "complex"), not so much in the rooms in the hotel building across the alley where I stayed. I would stay here again.
