Great location however the cold shower/lack of hot water made the Pacific feel warm. The furniture was strange, dated and in disrepair. The breakfast was terrible (some cereal in a plastic bin)

it was a last minute trip that i’m glad i found. right on the beach, awesome view and the sound of waves put us to sleep. We will return soon and stay longer when it warms up.

I enjoyed staying at this quaint hotel. It was wonderful being right on the beach. Sadly, two days after I left, a rogue wave hit the hotel and ruined the downstairs, including the patio room I staying in. I know they are working hard to repair it.

This was the a gross experience! The hotel was filthy.Body matter on the walls. Thick dust/dirt on the furniture. A broken bed. Then to top it off. Breakfast included was day old muffins that were frozen and microwaved. Most likely multiple times cereal was in an unsanitary container where everyone could just dig in. Needless to say we could not leave hotels due to an event going on.The first thing we did was a bedbug check. Thankfully, we didn’t encounter that, however, my friend and I did not sleep, nor did we shower or eat breakfast. Any economy hotel at the lowest price would’ve been better than paying $250 for this experience. When we complained, the nice girl at the front desk stated she would talk to her manager. We sent him pictures and asked for a return phone call . We never received a call. We had Hotels.com call on our behalf. The manager Jay stated that he has a beautiful fine establishment. I guess you could say he’s calling me a liar. However, the pictures will prove otherwise, do not stay here. The pictures can not even depict how dirty it was!!

Booked 2 rooms for our family of 4. 1 room was accidently given to someone else and had to wait an hour before the room was ready to occupy. TV didn't work but desk guy was able to fix it. Bathroom door got stuck and husband couldn't get out. Shower faucet loose and looks like will fall off.

While the rooms and property are dated the location can’t be beat. The price was very reasonable for being right on the beach. There are a variety of restaurants within a block (Thai, sushi, burgers and Italian) that were all decent. The staff was great with directions, additional items and was very friendly. We were there on the first week in December so no need for air conditioning . There is no air conditioner so I don’t know how the rooms might be in July or August. The rooms all face the ocean (west) so we got beautiful sunsets each evening but they might be beautiful in the summer though the heat might bother some. Our room had a fireplace which I thought was just for ambiance but it can heat the room nicely. There is a light breakfast provided each morning with coffee, milk, juice, rolls, buns, oatmeal and cereal. Also cofffee and a fridge in the rooms (no microwave). We plan to return to The Inn on the Beach in 2024. If we check it out in the warmer months I’ll update this review.

Great location to the beach and restaurants. Everything is within walking distance. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are older, but 2nd and 3rd floor rooms have the best views of the ocean.

the only hotel on the beach in ventura - it is an older property, but has a lot of charm - we usually stay in a double queen - they removed the closet so no place to hang clothes and there is no A/C, only a small fan, so when it is hot, you won't cool off that much, even though the patio door opens to the beach/ocean - the beds are comfortable but too soft for my tastes

You are paying for the vihew which is right on the beach. Little else is impressive. Breakfast room was closed and the only compensation was a pot of coffee set up late with a package of rolls from the grocery store. Our TV remote did not work. Except for the mattress the furnishings were dated and minimal. Neighborhood restaurants were Thai, Sushi, and two overpriced burger joints.

The hotel boasts a great location and its staff is welcoming and helpful. Although it may not have all the luxurious amenities, it does offer comfortable king-size beds with fresh linens and towels.

The furniture was old and broken with nails sticking out of the headboard of the bed. I picked up a chair to put it in front of the desk and the arm pulled off. The refrigerator didn't work and was hot. It had no air conditioner and an arch over the sliding door had the sun blaring in that was blinding. The only protection from the sun was the cobwebs.

This is a nifty little place..maybe call it quaint. A bit outdated and could use some TLC. Overall, I'll come back. The big sellers are its location (literally right in the beach) and that ALL the room's have a beautiful ocean view. I recommend the 2nd or 3rd floor as the bottom floor view isnt quite as good as you are looking thru hazy glass. Bottom is still nice, just not AS nice for sitting outside and enjoying the views. Nice gas fireplace in the rooms and it puts out a good amount of heat if you need it. The mattress (and bedding) was actually very good. Firm springs with a good amount of softness on top. Better than most for sure. Decor is definitely on the old side, could use some freshing up and TLC. It's not BAD..just could be better. Lots of food and drink options within walking distance. Overall... I dig the place.

My friend and I stayed there for the weekend. She had been several time and this was my first time at this hotel. It was wonderful!! The hotel was really cute and our room was very clean. The bed was super comfortable and the staff was super friendly and helpful! I would definitely recommend this hotel! I cant wait ro go back!

We have been in the Ventura area for pleasure a few times and had always wanted to stay at this Inn. On ocean front, street had many eateries with grocery store just a bit further up the street. Loved hearing the waves all night. Will definitely return!

This place is so cute. We absolutely loved having a patio that faces the beach! It was amazing in the morning, while you're drinking coffee and having something small from their breakfast options. There are some really good restaurants right next door too! And the beach is around the back from the parking. The location is awesome!!!

The location of the inn is fabulous, steps away from the sand and the ocean. Our room on the 2nd floor faced the ocean. The weather was perfect. When we weren't on the beach we were sitting on our balcony. With the sliding glass door open, we were able to hear the waves breaking throughout the night.

Room was nothing like the photos online. Hotel is old and outdated. No A/C or ceiling fans. Dirty carpet. Double Queen but NOT side by side?! Bed 2 was when you walk in, the “master” on the other side of bathroom. So bad we left after 45 minutes and checked into Crown Plaza 2 mi away $20 more for room but SO worth it. I will be asking for a refund.

Incredible views, easy check in, nice room a bit dated, could use a/c, bigger tv screen with movie channel and umbrella on outside table. But was nice quiet comfortable room and thd vuew, beach, parking were outstanding!! Will visit and stay again soon
