Upon our check in Friday, the room had a very strong pungent vomit smell. I requested another room. The clerk advised me there were none available and they had a strict no refund policy. The clerk gave us the option to call the owner which we did. He moved us to the handicap room for the night and instructed the clerk to clean the original room so that we could move back for Saturday night. The handicapped room smelled better but the underside of the shower seat had mold on it and the water temp was either cold or scorching hot. The shower pan was spongy feeling as it was going to give out. We decided to check out the next morning and take our losses. We had stayed here 6 years ago and did not have any issues. I do realize this is a low budget motel and I didn’t expect anything fancy. I only needed a clean place to sleep and shower. I am a very understanding person and I do not blame the clerk for the owners policy. There was no way I was going back to that room. I’m sure they booked it for Saturday night and got paid double for the room as I was not going to get refunded. I will not be staying here again.

Don't know if it's as cheap when it's not the off season, but in February it felt like we were getting away with something. It's a simple room but clean and charming. We suspect housekeeping hadn't finished our room because we later found out there WERE supposed to be towels in there, but the office was friendly and easy to work with. I should mention that although the room felt perfectly clean, we did find, about halfway through our stay, hidden behind the microwave, a pair of hypodermic needles and a tourniquet band. That's the sort of thing that really should not happen. But we loved being a short walk to the lagoon, the beach, the Rock and Roll Diner, and an easy drive to anything else you'd want.

Shower and refrigerator was not clean but attendant was apologetic and responsive and took care of cleaning it right away. Coffeemaker requested but not available. No complimentary soaps, or shampoo normally found in hotels. Attendant said he is by himself , new manager and doing everything on his own. He promised improved service, better outcome on future bookings.

Listen to the negative reviews. Not a clean hotel, but i guess you get what you pay for. Price was good, location was right by the beach. Room had odor, mold in the fridge, tv didn't work, wi-fi unstable

The staff were great. The room was clean and fresh. However, no coffee in room. We stayed on the first floor and the noise from above was horrible and loud. I compare to sound of running bulls. Across the room, down the stairs, too loud.

I thought this place would be a lot nicer since it's close to the dunes! I was wrong! This place is not well taken care of. The HVAC unit's buttons are so worn, you have to guess on the settings. The shower curtain was disgusting!!! And they never once took out the trash, restock the restroom, replace the towels, nor do any everyday room service. I will not be coming back.

It's a quaint place near a restaurant and liquor store. Only thing that I would have liked and they didn't have it. Room has no phone and no coffee maker or ice bucket. They don't have ice. It may not be very essential but I assumed those things were normal. I may return because now I know. One more thing, if you want to check in early, they will charge extra. The room was ready. Besides that the manager was nice.

Great place. Cozy, and friendly and very well lit. Super nice attendant at the front desk. I would recommend this place. I would give it five stars but the only bad thing was the shower was not cleaned. There was pubic hair in the shower. Other than that really nice place. I would stay here again.

This was a great location for this stay. The hotel is older but clean and comfortable. Downside was the Wifi never worked and no one was around when we tried to get help. TV also didn't work. The heating unit worked but we could only adjust the temp up, the button to lower the heat did not work. All that said, for what we paid it worked for our reason for being there. Make sure to check out the Great American Melodrama it was great fun.

My experience at this so-called "motel" was nothing short of a living nightmare. The room I was given was a breeding ground for bed bugs, turning a night's rest into a tormenting ordeal. But what truly makes this place a despicable pit of despair is the fact that the owner was nowhere to be found. While I battled those bloodsucking parasites, he was likely out gallivanting, enjoying my hard-earned money, possibly at the casino, in his own sordid version of a twisted joyride. What's even more grotesque is that I'd decided to check out at 2 AM, fleeing this wretched establishment in the dead of night to escape the torment. Yet, when I requested a refund from the scoundrel of an owner, he greeted me with a heart as cold as the bed bug-infested room I'd just vacated. Comparing this establishment to a homeless shelter is an affront to the shelters' noble missions. Even in those humble refuges, I've found more compassion and decency than in this veritable chamber of horrors. It's not a motel; it's a malevolent scam preying on the unsuspecting. I strongly urge anyone considering a stay here to steer clear. It's a cruel, fraudulent den of inequity where your money is casually squandered, your well-being is disregarded, and even a middle-of-the-night escape won't grant you the slightest modicum of justice. Sleeping in your car would be a more comfortable and safer option than the abyss that is this so-called motel.

Incredibly overpriced. Very run down. No amenities (no ice maker on the premises or paper cups in the room) freezer in small refrigerator completely iced over). Room not clean, carpet filthy. Except for the front desk person who was filling in for regular staff this place was BAD!

Our room was exceptionally clean and very comfortable. The lady who checked us in was so nice and friendly, I'm definitely coming back and staying here . There's a store next door and a restaurant as well it's so convenient .

My stay was good, staff was nice. But room was not fully cleaned prior to our arrival. Wet stain on floor, near toilet. And we found Miscellaneous items from the previous guests. But it was a great location. Just wish the housekeepers would mop the bathroom and mamagement paid attention to detail with the cleaning process

I would say it's a very nice two or three star hotel. A little out of the way for most people, but well priced for an overnight stay.
