Very efficient check in and out. Location is close to everything. With parking being scarce in town. It’s nice to park at the hotel and walk, Walking distance to the beach, restaurants, shops, and across the street from the grocery store.

This room faces the pool area and has an old door with no weatherstripping around it and large, very old windows on each side of it. There is no sound blocking whatsoever. This was incredibly frustrating when a group of teenagers decided to party in the pool area until 2:30am. Those large windows? The window curtains don’t fully block the windows so there isn’t much privacy. With this property, you’re paying for the location, specifically the proximity to the beach and the main drag of shops, and restaurants. We regretted booking this over a couple other options that were in the same price point but a few blocks off the main drag as those properties are more recently renovated and had a little more extra value (free parking, on site laundry etc). Floors were not very clean

Stayed here several times. Not what it used to be. Review is for the North location, not the run down Motel-6-esc primary building. Room was dirty, warn. Building needs some attention. Resort fee is a rip off. For what? Not even daily housekeeping. ( I stayed 3 nights.) Location is good. Customer service was ok on check in, but terrible on check-out. I expressed concerns to the female clerk (with a dog behind the counter) and she didn't care. She seemed bothered to even be working. Hotel have Roku and terrible internet. As noted, location is its best feature.

Outstanding stay! Hotel is positioned perfectly between beach, grocery store, shops and restaurants! Beautiful design and detail for a quaint ambiance! Pool was so clean! Front desk was helpful with every question. Room itself was comfortable, bed was cozy and shower was awesome!

We stayed for one night at this hotel located in Laguna Beach. Check-in is very far away from there parking. There is lots of stairs without wraps, or an elevator, which makes it difficult to navigate with luggage. They did not use card keys instead we received an actual key and only one copy so we had to coordinate sharing a key. Overall our experience was average it was a last minute decision to stay but in the future I would look for a room somewhere more updated.

DO NOT STAY HERE. Upon arrival the lady who was checking me in was incredibly rude. She did not have my reservation and wanted me to call to fix it. I showed her all receipts but she said she did not have it in the system and did not want to deal with the issue. We finally resolved the issue and I was extremely polite throughout the process. She then proceeds to put us in the back corner of the hotel where the exit gate did not lock. None of the rooms had proper hotel locks/ deadbolt locks on the doors which I thought was extremely unsafe. We get into the room and the cleanliness was okay but not the best. We leave for dinner and I go to pull out my ID and I realize she never gave it back to me after check in. I understand people make mistakes, and dinner was close, so I walk back to the hotel to get my ID. I did not receive any phone call, text message, or even a knock on my door to give it back. I approached her at the front desk and was barely acknowledged. I tell her she has my ID and she goes to the back and puts it on the counter. She claimed she tried to call me with the number on file but it didn’t work. I double checked the number and it was correct and explained she could’ve called again or texted. She was unapologetic about the whole situation and was dismissive. The next night, my friends and I were staying in the hotel room and we heard someone screaming. We were so terrified hid. We found out it was a domestic dispute. Pay the extra money and stay at a safe plac

The deluxe rooms are OK, it was nice to have a kitchenette. With the "modern" furnishing, though, they are not very comfortable (e.g. metal table and chair). The resort fee is unjustified, since the chairs, umbrellas, and towels at the pool require an extra fee, the parking is offered for a fee, and the continental breakfast might be the worst one I ever had (a couple of cheap pastries, 1-2 bagels, a few slices of bread, coffee and hot water). All these placed by the entrance, not a real breakfast area. Bottom line: not a resort, but with a quite pricey resort fee.
