It was ok clean. But it's older so had stains. Bed was more comfortable than its lumpy appearance originally suggested. The location was pretty good, a 15 minute walk to the ferry.

A one night stay prior to taking the ferry to Victoria. This is a no frills hotel. Beds were comfortable, the room was clean, but really needs updating. The room was quiet, even though our room was right by the street. There did not appear to be any newer hotels in Port Angeles, so you have to take what you can get.

Heater’s are exceptionally noisy. Not sure why a/c compressor needs to run when heat is selected. Tough to sleep as heating noise switches on and off thru the night

There was no toilet paper!!! There was a little on the roll. There was 3 of us. Once it was gone i looked everywhere for another roll to no avail. I called front desk no answer. The next morning i go to office its closed at 8 in the morning. Has note that if you need something call one of these 2 numbers. I call both no answer no returned call.... That is something you don't run out of yucky yucky yucky

Affordable. Small. Noisy. Was more convenient than other hotels. Size, per reported sqft, is apparently larger than other sites as well. It was decent. Wore earplugs and kept fan in to create white noise during the night. It was functional.

We arrived at almost 10 p.m. The office person had tried to call us, I'm sure to see if we were going to arrive.

This is my second time staying here. The owners are making upgrades throughout the property. The bed was very comfortable. Good water pressure in the shower lots of hot water. Appreciated the coffee maker fridge and microwave. Parking right outside my room. It is on a busy street but it is quiet overnight for good sleeping.

The motel's location is very convenient to Olympic National Park, which is a plus. But it's not very clean, especially the moldy bathroom, so I probably wouldn't stay there again.

We were pleasantly surprised with the large size of the room and the comfortable bed and pillows. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was within walking distance of several nice restaurants and just a couple minutes from the ferry terminal. It was a very good choice for us.

We got in late and left fairly early so had very little interaction with anyone there. Bed was comfy and sheets felt nice!
The shower head fell off but was easy to place back on.

The room itself was small but it had a desk that was good for a project I was working on. The room was fairly clean, but the bathroom tub was gross and while we used it, I wouldn't set the soap down. They need to caulk. The area was sketchy and we weren't sure if our car would be ok overnight, but it was.

carpet and upholstery made the room smell musty and damp; bathroom lightbulb is bare and exposed; carpets were not clean; bathmat was damp before first use; for these and A/C reasons (when running it blows under curtain pushing it out into the room and blocking a good amount of the cooling), I would not stay again

Front desk service was prompt and friendly. Room was a bit outdated but the water was hot so that's a plus. It was mostly comfortable until the person above us was up stomping across their room so we had a terrible night trying to fall asleep or stay asleep.

The receptionist was not helpful and kind rude(well, he was a bit angry) when we wanted to pay by 2 credit cards. I ended up not abled to do, no surprize! We asked about the NationalPark permission, he did not give us any info, just pointed out code on the posted paper. The other lady helped where we should go. The roo Is very spacious, cleannenough but tired looking. Ants in the bathroom. Overall OK. Not good or great.

The rooms are large and comfortable. The seagulls are loud in the morning but that’s true anywhere at all close to the water. I stayed in a two room suite. The front room has AC, which is needed about 2 weeks of the year in August. Since it was just me, I closed the door to the back bedroom to avoid that extra heat. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are priced well for the location and amenities.

The Royal Victorian hotel is old motel.. They have tried to update by painting outsidet like putting lipstick on a pig.
the bathtub area need to be redone. Mattress need replacing.

This property was in a great location. We were able to easily walk to the downtown area and ferry with ease.
It was nice to have 2 separate rooms and great to have a mini fridge/coffee maker.
The downsides were lots of traffic noise, busy street, outdated furnishings, stained linen, stained bathtub, and overpriced.

Positives: friendly staff, comfortable bed and pillows, AC, good water pressure, easy to park, convenient location, extremely quiet, dog friendly.
Minuses: bedsheets were stained, bathroom floor and walls were not aesthetically in the greatest condition.

The facilities were clean. The rooms are showing wear and needing some basic aesthetic repair. The location is central, but a bit rough (firecracker wars nearby?).
The main issues were 1) parking - there is not enough stalls for suites, so we lost our spot and had to park on the street. 2) Oh yeah, and management - someone booked our room before we were even out, so a new guest had a key to our room and walked in on my girlfriend while she was out of the bath and changing. Thanks, guys.

Bed was comfortable, but it’s definitely old style motel, like Motel 6 and Super 8. Did not feel it was appropriate to cost $259 after taxes!

What we did not like were the ants in the bed. The manager accused us of eating and leaving crumbs in the bed and we did not do that. There was a dirty towel behind the door when we checked in, nasty! I'll be sure to let everyone I know not to stay there or anyone who asks me about staying in Port Angeles

Closeness to downtown area is the only reason to stay here. It’s just a standard motel - we only came back to shower and sleep. Don’t expect anything more than that. Room service was not good - we could not tell if the towels and toilet were replaced/refilled.

I booked a 2 bedroom suite and found only 1 bedroom and a 2nd bed outside in the shared living area. No kitchen as advertised only a microwave. There was also a strong unpleasant smell in the room. The area is quite so no noise issue.
