Room and cleanliness is ok, but they charged for more per room when we checked in. They said because we didn't mention we booked for three people including my son. We said yes we did when we booked the room on line with Hotel.com Anyway, we paid for it but they didn't give us the receipt while we asked for it?

Gum on the floor and stuck to the ceiling, many areas of the room are very dusty/dirty. The manager called the room within 10 minutes of us entering being very rude about having children with me. I understand noise complaints but honestly the kids had a long car ride and were excited to be at a hotel.

Probably the best cheap motel in seaside. If the price is right, it is my first choice. (Prices change a lot around here!)

Everything was great about this inn. The staff is the best and the rooms are very nice!! We were very lucky to have picked this place and will be going back whenever we can!

This is my third stay here... it's very clean and up to date. It doesn't look like much from the street, although the paint colors are very bright and inviting!

We stayed one night for an event in Monterey. When we entered the room it had a horrible smell of smoke. I immediately went and told the manager who was at the desk that I was allergic to the smoke smell. She said that she could not put us in another room since all the rooms were full. She was apologetic and said that she did not get a chance to check the room since they were very busy. She did offer a refund if we chose to leave. We decided to put up with it for one night since all motels and hotels were booked in the area. The manager came later to the room to see if we were staying or leaving. She told us to rid of the smell to open the window. Standing outside she could obviously see that the screen on the bottom was totally ripped. The room was the first room on the first floor in the parking lot and on a noisy busy street. We did not feel safe leaving the window open. The only positive was the room was newly refurbished and clean.

This is a older facility, one predating WWII. Parking is tight and it is in an area of automobile dealers and businesses that support the care industry. The rooms are very nicely updated, the facility well kept, and cleanliness is paramount. When we had a little problem with no hot water, the owner immediately corrected the matter. The beds were comfy, and the room was plenty large for two of us. The price is below market for the area, the facility entirely satisfactory in every way. These owners understand customer service and satisfaction. I will stay here again.

Very clean, the grounds are kept us nice, housekeeping was there every day ( no questions asked) Very close to beautiful beach, shopping and restaurants. Two issues- parking is limited and tight and there are tons of homeless people around hotel. We were never bothered once by them but they are there. Would stay here again

People at the front lobby were extremely rude. Even though check out time is at 11 am they came knocking on our door at 9 am. !!! That was so rude! I don’t know of anyone place that does that. We asked for 4 extra towels and once again the front lobby person said she can only give 2 towels. I am Never going back to that place.

The office personal was absolutely the best. They were very polite, accommodating, professional, and courteous. The only thing I really didn’t like was the parking situation. They don’t have enough spaces for the numbers of rooms they have. I came back one evening after midnight to find that there were no spots available for me to park. I was about to sleep in my car that night when I decided to call the office from my car because I didn’t feel safe having to possibly sleep in my car. I felt bad because it was after midnight and I had to wake her up. She came out and had to have a person that was NOT a guest move her car. The parking lot is very small and it’s a tight squeeze. It would be nice if they had an exit at the other end of the property. Sad to say, but for this reason and this reason alone, I can not recommend this place and I will not be staying here again.

The office personnel were very kind, helpful; Room was small but adequate; Water pressure (as felt from shower head) was fairly weak; Hotel layout very handy; Noted numerous vagrants living - or temporarily residing - w/in 100 yards of hotel (made me feel a bit on edge when exploring area); Would be nice to have a list in room of local eating establishments; Bottom bed linens pulled out easily (not tucked in well); Panda Express very close by, never seen one as busy as that one is; Inner court of hotel landscaped nicely - lots of greenery

No frills motel in Monteray. Room was basic but clean & failry comfortable & well setup with good wifi. nothing to complain about for cost/package. Not so close to a seaside. Plenty food outlets nearby. Also Costco very close & smallish mall nearby. Staff try tio be helpful & attentive. typical american room vaction required @ 11am . Cigarette burns on upper bedsheet surprising fpr a non smoking setup?. I would stay again

Conflicting information from staff working separate shifts. Check in reception was poor and unprepared. Room requests weren’t met and made to pay more than quoted price. Parking was tight in tiny lot. Beds were uncomfortable and Street was loud.

Inn is in great location where lots of places are walkable and very close by such as CSUMB, Panda Express, Costco, lucky’s, Korean restaurant, Vietnamese restaurant and wing stop. Place is small but clean and front desk is friendly. Inn needs some maintenance but everything in the room works. When parking lot is full it may be difficult to get out of drive way depending on the size of the vehicle and it would have been nice if all towels as well as shampoo, soap, etc were filled

Horrible! Room smelt like sewage. There was a towel left behind that was molding and yellow. Worst of all there was pills on the floor! No idea what they were!

Don’t stay on the 1st floor. Inconsiderate people making noises and loud steps on the 2nd floor you can’t take a rest/ sleep.
