Wow what a beautiful location. Staff were friendly and helpful but were very busy! This is a lovely place, food was excellent and room comfortable.
Just a few minor things that could be improved - dripping tap, modernisation of bathroom but overall recommended for a quiet stay in a wonderful location with great food.

I am sure 10 years ago the hotel was great. It’s just run down since it’s 2012 travel awards they received. Staff was nice but room was out dated and affected by the years of humidity. Firstly it was a challenge to locate the property. Zero signage indicating its location distance/direction to villas. Locks on doors were not functional for the patio and outdoor shower. The bed was probably the hardest mattress I have ever slept on. Sink water unsafe for consumption (teeth brushing, face washing, etc.) Property at night is not well lit, especially in the parking lot that is a distance from the hotel reception. Overall just needs to be maintained and cleaned up.

Huge disapointment with this hotel.
Photos don't reflect the reality : hotel with a strong lack of care and maintenance. Rooms are very old especially the bathroom (photos attached). We also had dirty bed sheet with holes.
The swimming pool was dirty / water was flashy green and opaque. This is part of the high prices and were unable to enjoy it. (They justified it as filter issue, and not the first time that happened). + bleach stained beach towel.
Breakfast was limited in quality and service extremely long (1H to get a yoghurt with granola - having only to serve 3 tables).
Be careful with this hotel as high end prices are not justifiable.(Except for the views and balcon in the room).
We were supposed to get a voucher of $23 as VIP access (from Hotels.com) but staff was not aware, then we didn't have the opportunity to use it...

Upon booking, prior to arrival, and during our stay the staff was attentive and helpful, including recommending a 4WD rental. They booked several activities for us and shared recommendations for restaurants and additional sites. Service was excellent in the dining room, and the popen air massage was amazing.

Beautiful location, lovely pool, helpful friendly staff!

This hotel is overpriced for the place, not much things to do in the hotel, and staff is not friendly. For this price there are a lot better options in Costa Rica

Nice small hotel with excellent service. The views of the ocean from our balcony were beautiful and the setting was very peaceful. The room was very clean. The only draw back was that the room had a bad odor - maybe an issue with the drains or septic system. The air conditioner helped to mask it a little, but it persisted throughout the 2 night stay. Hopefully it was just our room and it can be fixed.

The property was beautiful. The service was excellent and the ceviche delicious. However the steps to go to rooms are steep.

PROS
1) Geral works in the bar/restaurant, and is a great asset to this place.
2) The view
CONS
1) awful hard beds, gave us neck/back aches
2) massage terrible, boyfriend felt the gentle caress, short gasping breath, trembling hands, and sweat falling on him from masseuse victor.
3) Diego at front desk does not care. Not into customer service.
4) awful food. Ceviche with bones in it that one could choke on. Thai curry inedible. Dessert with nuts that people aren't made aware of, beware if have allergies, as Diego won't tell you about it.
5) water pressure is a trickle in sink and shower, room 3.
6) did not get the Expedia VIP benefits of $23 food discount

The staff was great, Diego and Gerald were very helpful recomending and reserving activities, and would also have a packed lunch for us.
Definately coming back.
Thanks again guys!

We loved our stay at Tiki and enjoyed the solitude and peaceful surroundings. The staff was so pleasant and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. The manager was so helpful and enjoyable to speak with.
Our only comment would be regarding the breakfast. Sometimes the food did not come out hot and seemed to have been prepared earlier. It was not necessarily fresh tasting.
We enjoyed our stay and will certainly return.

Lovely staff, terrific restaurant onsite; terrific ocean view with lots of birds. Cons: no place to sit in the room other than on the beds. The balcony deck has a table and a couple of chairs that we moved inside; toilet sounded like the furnace failing in A Christmas Story. Overall the rooms could use a facelift.

Such an incredible recluse feel, with gorgeous views of the ocean. The 4x4 only road continues past the resort up to the very top of a look out, where we saw monkeys and watched a spectacular sunset. The team at Tiki Villas were kind, and it was absolutely serene and peaceful. Very convenient location, immaculate grounds, and the feel of the seclusion was what made it perfect. Wonderful place for reflection, grounding and peace for the soul. Will absolutely recommend and stay again!

I have never walked into a hotel and just wanted to stay put. This place is up the hill with a view overlooking the ocean. We swam as we did some bird watching and watched the sun set. Our alarm was set to the howler monkeys. The staff were friends that we hung out with sharing about the surroundings. The chef, who took advantage of the local culture made the best food that you could not get enough. Why would I ever leave this place??

The facilities are nice and clean. The pool and deck are small, but fine. The best part about the hotel was the staff, Adrian and Girard, who were friendly, attentive and helpful. The worst thing about the hotel was the internet service. Was very spotty. There is no cell signal on the property so you have to rely on wifi and the wifi there was terrible -- coming in and out sporadically.

This is a tough one. The staff was amazing and could not be more helpful, but everything else was disappointing. No wifi in rooms, no water pressure, terrible food, small pool, tired rooms, no blanket. The money was a lot for what you get. The location, however, was great as it was near where we needed to be each day.

Beautiful exotic property on a mountain side with views of the ocean. Great staff super friendly and helpful in guiding us with activity choices. Would definitely stay again and if you want a more exotic view they have a sister hotel that is amazing and we will definitely stay there next time because of the quality of the staff and properties. The other one is HotelThreeSixty.

Staff was very courteous and incredibly helpful. Breakfast should be earlier than 7am, or at the very least have coffee available.

When we arrived to the hotel it was everything we expected it to be, the views are amazing and its so relaxing. The staff did everything to make us comfortable. Gabriel, Kathy, Ronald, and Gerald provided us with non-stop services which made us feel like family. Definitely have to go back and Visit a second time. Pura Vida !

Very nice hotel facility, with a great view from the pool and balcony. The food in the restaurant was good as well. Also the rooms are clean and have a nice outdoor shower.

Absolutely wonderful! The views are a highlight, but the room, dining area, infinity pool, and gardens were all beautiful, and we saw lots of birds and butterflies. The food and drinks were delicious, especially the Costa Rican breakfast. Many thanks to Jason and Diego for being so helpful and welcoming.

After a long drive to get to the property from San Jose, we arrived and were checked in after a few minutes. As it was dinner time someone had to come away from serving but check in was easy and quick. He helped us get our bags from the car as the parking is a little walk from the actual rooms (because it's on the side of a mountain). The only downside to the drive into the property is firstly it's very remote so I didn't have a cell phone signal and I ended up at the property next door in the dark with no way to contact the hotel to find out where I was meant to be but the neighbors sent me in the right direction. Then the drive in really does need a 4x4 but our little rental car did OK.
The individual villas are fantastic. The view from every room is incredible. The beds are a little hard but not like some beds I've slept in in Costa Rica. It was impeccably clean and while we were told not to drink the water by the staff they do give you bottled water and the room also had a kettle that I would boil before bed to have water to make coffee with in the morning. The balcony is large and looks out over the rainforest and the ocean. The location couldn't be more perfect,.
The restaurant breakfast was very good, but I wasn't impressed with the selection for dinner as it was a little limited and fairly expensive but what I ate was very good. If you're lazy you're not going to like the stairs to the restaurant.

This was actually my favourite hotel of many places in Costa Rica. The gracious and friendly service, especially from Gerald and Jason, was outstanding from the start and made this place feel even more high end. Our villa was very spacious, had a beautiful view and felt private, yet was only a 20 second walk to the dining building. The outdoor shower was a treat as well. A highlight was lounging by the infinity pool with a good drink, while watching toucans and other birds fly and sing around us as the sun went down.

TikiVillas was the best place to spend our vacation in Uvita. The views were breathtaking, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was to die for.
We arrived after sunset and were a little spooked because the resort is up an unpaved road marked "dead end" but other than that our stay was great. Loved seeing toucans out our window every morning

The setting was incredible, in the rainforest with excellent views of the ocean. The rooms were comfortable (beds a little too stiff though). The staff were excellent, too, extremely helpful with day to day issues, with excursions and were very friendly. Breakfasts were great, dinners a little less so but that was ok, it encouraged us to explore the local cuisine in Uvita and Dominical.
