The place was clean and comfortable. John was great. He welcomed us and was always available if we needed anything. The scenery was beautiful. The location is great. Great price. Great value.

Amazing place! great for a pit stop into and out of NYC. Great for stargazing, and a beautiful wide open grass field, next to the running water, has fire pits, and horseshoe! It’s quiet despite how close the road is.

I booked this hotel based on rating and other customers' reviews. The hotel was clean and it is very conveniently located in the heart of Ellicottville. The pictures that are posted on the hotels.com website look much nicer than what the hotel really is. The doors to the room and to the bathroom did not close properly. We could not shut the bathroom door. Other than that, we were pleased with the cleanliness of the bathroom and the beds.

We stayed in the chalet - with 12 people. It was tight but comfy, and Donna the (owner? manager?) was amazing. It isn’t in perfect condition but great for the price.

Great accommodation and friendly service please note that the Ironing Board in Room 103 in the main building is broken and is not usable any longer and needs to be replaced

I hate to write bad reviews but it is warranted this time. Let me start by saying the lady that checked us in was wonderful. And the price was great. We got to our room and that is when we wished we could go someplace else. The room stunk! Musty odors! Gross. It was so bad it clung to our clothes the next day even. I had to put all of my bags out in the sun to try and get the smell off. It was not cleaned very well. The lamps are gross with dust. Dirt everywhere. The rug must get wet all of the time and that is where the smell comes in. We were in an annex building. It's all very cute on the outside. Maybe some of the rooms were ok but ours was just awful. I guess you get what you pay for.

This place is very outdated. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom. Breakfast was non existent, cold terrible coffee, stale bagels, and muffins. This is a $40 motel for above moderate price. I understand that it's a resort town but come on. For the price it's not unreasonable to expect more.

The location was so perfect to walk to town! The king size bed was very comfortable, but our particular room was just way too small for two people. We barely had room to put one luggage down on the floor and walk by it. The two end tables were much too far away from the bed, we couldn't reach and put a drink on them. There were not enough accessible plugs in the room. We were not in the main lodge. In the future we will make sure that we only book in to the main Lodge, which are quite large rooms if you get 2 queen beds. This was our first time there and possibly the main Lodge wasn't available this is just the room that they gave us.

Came skiing for the weekend , did research on places to stay edelweiss was about half of the other places so know that going into it. The stay was ok, negatives were the shower and tub would not drain while showering. No room cleaning while we stayed and wasn’t the cleanest upon arrival. If you’re looking to ski and stay on a budget it’s very adequate, but if you are expecting a lavish place to stay this is not it. I would stay again with the expectation just a place to sleep and shower.

The location is great for walking around town, and it was a 5 to 10 minute driving to the ski resort. Overall it was a pretty good trip that was affordable. The staff were flexible and willing to accommodate me for a middle of the night arrive. I wish there was more available parking, our two rooms only had a heater in one of the rooms, which made the other very cold, and the door to my room had to be pulled to latch.

Dirty shower and bathroom, not very secure balcony double door, and an all-around uncomfortable environment. Hallway smelled of cigarette smoke and despite having three parking lots, we had to park on the street

Room was dirty. The last tenants toiletries were still in bathroom drawers. Dirt on shower and toilet was covered with feces. Had to clean toilet before we used it. The tenant in the room next door was smoking so much marijuana that we could smell it in our room. Room smelled like cigarettes even though it was a non smoking room. If you want a cheap room in Ellicottville, this is the place for you. But if you are a clean person, don’t bother with this lodge. Breakfast is muffins, bagels and cereal.

Comfortable and affordable stay near holiday valley. Extremely close to downtown and the resort. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms were sufficient. Some parts of the room weren’t clean but not the end of the world for what the trip was.

Door didnt stay locked, no heat in king bedroom, windows are bad with cold air coming in, door to balcony wouldnt lock, tripped over roll in the carpet, big crack at ceiling across beds, beds are lumpy and not comfortable and too small of a parking lot we did not have a place to park for the night. And free breakfast was cereal and bagels thats it. Definitely not what we expected for $220. Will not stay again or recommend to anyone. I have photos but can not seem to attach them.

We rented 2 rooms. My room was clean but had a musty smell at the entrance door. Seemed like there was some kind of water drainage issue at the door. But no wet was observed in the room. The boys room had no issues and they said their room was clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Close to holiday valley and walking distance to restaurants.

The Edelweiss is old and tired! Needs a total renovation. Wasn't very clean, towels and sheets didnt smell fresh, breakfasst was a joke, the man that checked us in was rude. We go several times yearly, but will be findng a different place to stay moving forward disappointing because the location is superb.

The desk clerk was friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable. The shower curtain rod was not stationary; it rotated, thereby moving the shower curtain. The continental breakfast was disappointing; cereal, packaged muffins, bagels, yogurt. Not much of a selection for those with diabetes or who are gluten intollerant.

Definitely need to do updates, repairs, painting. Enjoyed our stay there, friendly staff, pretty clean. Our rooms bathroom had wallpaper peeling off, loose molding, we noticed a few places where their stairs were loose and wabbly.

There four days and room never cleaned. Had to go to desk for clean towels on day three. Musty order in the room. Breakfast was cereal or muffins or bagels from 8 to 10.

Nice clean property. Also had a pol and nice fire pit that we didn’t have time to use. Native American who initially greeted us was nice and informative. Was walking distance to town with lots of dinning options.
