Room was clean and comfortable. Excellent location to watch the ships pass through the lock. Area was quiet, safe and close to restaurants and shopping. Staff were very friendly.

Its what we expected. Its a family owned business, and it sits in the quiet small town. We talked with the owner, he was very pleasant and answered all our questions & concerns.

This property, while not fancy or boasting many amenities, has always been special to me as I love sitting on the small porch and watching the ships transit the lock right outside the door. There are nearby coffee shops and restaurants to every taste. My only wish is that the ice machine, which was discontinued during Covid, would be revived.

Loved the view from tbe balacony to see the ships coming through the locks. Beautiful area service and beautiful inn i enjoyed my stay and will be back! It was also close to the concert venue we walked to. One of my favorite places now to stay! :) thank you!

We enjoyed the inn this is our second time hear. Love comes to see the boats come though the canel. We like that its a close drive to Niagara Falls n Niagara on the Lake. The rooms are great clean water pressure is great every was great. Will be coming back again next year.

Have a thing for Great Lakes freighters and ocean-going ships? This 25-room hotel is a few hundred feet from a lock on the St. Lawrence Seaway. Dozens of ships per day pass in view your balcony. Of course, that happens at night too, so noisy and lots of lights. But cool. Block interior walls, so quiet that way.

It was a plus to watch the boats in the lock. No common areas Smelled old , dirty around baseboards HARD beds. Can’t imagine in hot weather….one small air conditioner at front door preset to 19 or 20 Charged us for another night 25$ more than your rate

The site was unique as to its proximity to the locks and was quite entertaining while we were winding down in the evening. One downside however was the noisy AC units, not only our room but from the neighbour's as well.

I loved the balcony and the view of the lock and the ships coming in. This was fascinating. However the room was very hot when we arrived as the air conditioner was not turned on. There was no phone in the room to call the front desk so we had to go and ask for someone to turn the air conditioner on as we couldn’t figure it out. Because of the location and small size of the air conditioner the room never completely cooled down. There were very few blankets on the bed.

This hotel is a very old hotel. My shower didn’t work so I had to take a bath. They don’t have an iron and ironing board in the room. I ask for one and was giving an iron that didn’t work and small ironing board. There was a frig in the room but no microwave. The AC was a small window unit. My bed didn’t have a bed spread or comforter on it. Now with all this being said I would recommend the hotel and I would stay here again. It was so relaxing. It was in the middle of a quite neighborhood. I enjoyed walking around looking at the homes. There is 28 rooms and all of them have private balconies that look out to Lock seven. I loved sitting on the balconies watching the large ships come in. There are also restaurants and a service station in walking distance. If you want low key relaxation this is the hotel for you.

Great location for us hiking on the Bruce trail and other sightseeing close by. Amazing view of the ships going through the locks. Clean rooms. Lots of restaurants and shopping a short drive away - some walkable.

Interesting place, much tackier and more industrial than it looks in the picture, calls itself "The Inn" but it's a room in concrete block with steel blast doors.

The front desk was a new employee, and he was friendly. He escorted me to where I needed to go outside of the hotel to locate my room. Another long time customer helped me with my luggage even though he did not have to. The room was large and cozy. I really liked having an outdoor balcony to sit at and eat my breakfast in the morning overlooking the lock. It was a quiet and peaceful place. I think that the hotel should consider getting better quality coffee for the coffee machines. Pay for good coffee and filters. I love a good cup of coffee in the morning! I think that there should also be a kettle in each room for a proper cup of tea! The air conditioner took some time to cool my room. I found keeping it at 19 was enough to eventually cool things down. I slept at the opposite end of my bed to feel it even more. Turning the air conditioner up does not help. Not sure why the air conditioner is not in the room itself because that would make more sense rather than it being positioned near the door at the top of the open closet where the fridge is. I checked the mattresses to ensure cleanliness. They were clean, but quite old with rips, and I saw a spring poking out. It is true that the mattresses are very old and hard. I still managed to sleep, but it was the temperature of the room that took some time to cool down and get comfortable which happened around later in the evening. Overall, the hotel was good, and I would stay again.

The motel was located within walking distance of dining establishments. The room was immaculate ! Friendly welcoming staff. Only 20 minutes to Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls.

We have stayed at the Inn at Lock Seven more than once and have always found it to be clean and well cared for. The Inn is not luxurious, but it has all the basic necessities for a good stay. The inkeeper is gracious and very helpful. But the most unique feature of the Inn is the view one has of ships going through the lock just a stone's throw from the room's balcony. We're fascinated every time we stay there.

Cute little inn. Very quiet. Dated furniture and decor but the grounds are nice. Temperature control was a bit of an issue. Windows were broken and door to balcony doesn’t lock. Overall area was clean. Staff were very friendly and kind The Inn is not accessible so if you have mobility issues or can’t do stairs this isn’t the place for you. It would not be worth it to pay more than $120 - $140 per night so if your being charged more - find a different property. Fridge available in room is a nice feature and there was no extra cost.
