Great Historic building. Well preserved/remodeled. That carpet though. Filtered or bottled water not really available/ accessible, no kettle/microwave space in rooms or common areas. Otherwise absolute gem. Bedding & Cleanliness and Service alone 5 stars.

Highly recommend to anyone staying in Pasadena. It isn't quite central in Pasadena's happening Old Town area, but it is only a 15 minutes walk or 5 min drive/bus ride.
Facilities are dated but well kept. Cleaning of the room could have been a bit better, I saw some stains on the desk, but the pool made that all better. Wonderful pool with great vibes. Also they have state of the art Toto toilets and bathtubs, which were a great feature.

It was a cozy room.

Though the hotel was a very cool vibe, and it was very nice, I was shocked by an extremely large "smoking fee" charged to my room... when inside the room there was a handout stating that if you want to smoke, simply go outside... my room (a 1 bedroom suite, which I paid handsomely for) had an exterior/outdoor balcony and we stepped outside there to share a few cigars. I was told by the staff that it was a "designated smoking area" outside I was supposed to go to. This was NEVER explained on the thing inside my room. I showed them the picture too, and they regurgitated the same thing. They also did nothing special for me, even though I told them it was my bachelor party, and I couldn't even check-in until 3:30pm...

1) Pre-trip emails with the staff was efficient & the staff accomodated to my requests abd questions.
2) Upon checking in, counter staff was so patient with my personal card blunder & just happened the room was ready for me earlier.
3) Room was big!!! More than enough towels were available.
4) Room had a heater! Thus didn't have to suffer in cold.
5) Gym was 24 hrs! Love it.
6) Conveniently located within buying of groceries areas.
Not good: Just would have like to have more lights. Half of the room didn't have ceiling lights.

The hotel is well located with multiple restaurants and cafes at walking distance. The parking option is a little bit pricey, but functional.
The decoration is very nice and the view of the city from the corner room was beautiful!

Hotel was clean and we were able to check in early which was nice. However the room had no coffee/hot water machine which was annoying. Also there were no black out shades or curtains so putting our 1 year old down for a nap was difficult with the light streaming thru the wooden shutters. Other annoying thing was we couldn't find any ice machines on our floor.

A very comfortable hotel with a nice charm to it. It is centrally located and quiet, too.

It is a beautiful historical building you also have to pay for the parking $29 per day which was ok. The problem comes when you get into the room and there is no privacy for the restroom. The toilet is separated from the shower by glass thats also the glass door to the toilet has a gap and doesn't shut. Other than that the hotel experience was fine i probably will not stay here again.

The hotel was beautiful but the A/C in the room did not work so it was very uncomfortable

I really like this hotel. This was my second time booking/staying here. This time was a combination of business and pleasure. It would have been nice to have a coffee pot/station in the room as I was up early working east coast time and had to wait for the lobby coffee station to open. On a positive note, I enjoyed having the desk/workstation, internet access for work.

The hotel was great. The only issue was the carpet in the room was dirty. Our dock car black from walking on it.

Our room was over sold. They compensated us by upgrading us to a suite and also waving off our parking fees without me having to ask. I love ppl or places who can own up to their mistakes. Staff said, “Ty for making it easy on us.” I responded, “whats there to complain about? You took care of us!”

Stay was OK. Room definitely had some cleanliness-issues. There was a hairball on the floor in the shower, and some of the ”fresh new” towels we received were dirty.

Upgraded spacious room. Friendly bar in lobby. Courteous staff. Pool and gym are very nice. Many games in lobby. Beautiful courtyard off the lobby. Our two grandsons enjoyed visiting the hotel.

Always our #1 boutique hotel to stay in when we are overnight in Pasdena.

This hotel is very nice and clean. The only complaint we have was the bed and pillows. So uncomfortable. Husband and I both have back and neck pain from the 2 nights we were there

We walked to dinner at The Arbour (527 S. Lake Ave), which was amazing. Then we came back and hung out in the lobby, which is inviting and fun--we played checkers for an hour before calling it a night. Bed was very comfortable.

I do not care about eco friendly so I didn’t answer that question, all I want is a place to stay that has friendly people and a save place away from LA and some charm like Pasadena Hotel and Pool. We stay there just because of these accommodations, thank you. No one looks at a hotel for eco friendly.

The staff were very helpful. The rooms were clean and it was an easy check-in and check-out. The stay was great!

Front desk staff were very helpful and welcoming, accommodating a late change in room request for the Rose Parade weekend, which I'm sure wasn't easy for them to do. Only thing that stops me giving a 5 star for the hotel is the lack of room service or a restaurant and that's my fault for not checking properly in advance.

Would be nice to have complimentary water in the rooms for guests, but overall was a great stay. Nice and clean, well designed and friendly staff.

Lovely stay, dependable wifi connection. The only thing I have to say is the parking and amenities. Parking structure was slightly confusing at first and I wish there was a microwave and a little kettle for convenient usage when it comes to food/hot beverages.

Very nice room and stylish furniture, quite.

The bathroom wasn’t closed off from the rest of the room. The door to the toilet was like a shower door with some frosted glass that did not reach to the ceiling….so no privacy when using the facilities!

This hotel is a joke. The price they charge for a room is not reflective of the service you get. This hotel has no amenities. You have to push your own bell cart down their tight hallways, which trust me they are tight. We got the king suite, which was dirty. The couch was dirty, the toilet was dirty with someone else’s poop. I had told them we had two cats and the guy at the front desk was giving me a lot of attitude claiming I didn’t mention I had pets when I had told the other employee. Moreover, I forgot my laptop charger and I’ve been getting the runaround for two days from multiple employees stating they would check on that and call me back, which I’ve never received a call back. I’m not asking to get pampered, but for the prices they’re charging I was really disappointed with the lack of service they provided which I feel was borderline disrespectful.

Charming, historic hotel that's within easy walking distance to many shops and restaurants. I did not like the bathroom setup at all; it was very open with no privacy. Shower did not get very hot. Our room was right next door to the service room and elevator and was very noisy.

From the moment when we arrived they greeted us as we we were VIP the offered an upgrade for our room and they took care of the parking fee. Everything looks very well maintained and the pool area is nice. Bar area is nice and the bartender was very attentive and fun. Walking around de neighborhood was very fun lots of places to choose from. We will definitely stay again.

Martin is a great host! Watch out for getting charged a very ridiculous $10 resort fee when checking out. What a joke!

Right when I walked in I noticed how beautiful the inside of the building was. Gorgeous furniture. The room was on the small side but perfect for my needs. Large tv and window facing desk.

Didn’t like I had to pay tax and parking for an additional 37 dollars. The TV had limited channels. I spent money downstairs and should have been compensated for the ridiculous parking fee. The room was lovely and the bed was really comfortable

Great 1 night stay. Hotel staff was great, super friendly and attentive. The hotel itself was also good, the only knock was getting through the parking structure, not sure if it was garbage day but the sewage smell was super strong. Overall a good great time.

Such a charming hotel! Stayed for the weekend and wish we booked longer, central to restaurants and shopping on Lake Ave and Colorado Blvd. Highly recommend!
