This was our first time in an all-inclusive resort. We enjoyed our stay, sunburn & all. Our last night we went to a premier restaurant at another hotel that was part of the complex. The Neptune was quite amazing.

Things we liked. The cleaning, the room was clean and they were always cleaning up from the sidewalks to the plants to the windows. Outside set up was great adult pool, kids pool, and toddlers pool. All staff were great, friendly, and attentive. Location of hotel was great and close to town. The food was ok. We have stayed other places and the food was much better. Not the amount, the quality- could have been better. But I also see how much waste people that stay there contribute. But the quality was ok. Now what we didn’t like. The stayed in the main tower (which I guess is called the 2nd building). It was so loud! Idk if you could request a different tower or room number but I would NOT stay in the main tower. It’s open and every time someone walks through it’s so loud and echos all the way up and into the rooms. I’m not a light sleeper by any means but it would wake me up several times- this is what I disliked the most you heard everything that went on ALL NIGHT. The staff was very attentive, but when we went they were way under staffed. We got the all inclusive and didn’t get to reach full benefit due to lack of staff. It was so hard to order at times. Last thing and the worst part there. There were signs saying you couldn’t leave towel and “save” chairs or they would be removed after an hour and let others have the place. This rule was NOT ENFORCED and needed to be. Several times no chairs and towels/shoes sitting on then for hours. When we go back we book elsewhere.

We were told the honor was free for the all inclusive customers by the front desk clerk, that was a lie.we weren’t told about the 152 dollars to cover maintenance and other things when we checked in

Loved it!

Perfect size everything was walkable. Loved that I could make dinner reservations a week in advance. The food was amazing at every place and they have so many options. Can beer - loved!!
Only complaint was the signing when you are all inclusive, not that it really mattered but didn't see why you needed too.

From the minute we arrived, everyone was very friendly and helpful.

This is a solid property which aligns with the average rating of this property. The staff were friendly and dining reservations easily made via e-mail with concierge prior to travel. My wife and I enjoyed the food at all the restaurants (we got all inclusive), with the highlight being the Picanha Steak at Tomatillos restaurant. We also enjoyed the Lion King show during the buffet dinner and recommend you arrive at least 30 min early to get a good seat.
Service at the pool was excellent (big shout out to Andres!) and we were never left waiting to refill our drinks. I just wish music was louder at the pool. This is also one of the few properties where you have beach access, so it's a good change of scenery from the pool.
Our room was perfect for us and two little kids, especially with a fully stocked kitchen area. The hotel provided two cribs and we felt safe putting our kids in there to nap/sleep. My only complaint is the quality of the iron which slightly stained my shirt. It was extremely hot and burned off the ironing board cloth which then transferred onto my shirt. I've never used an iron in any hotel that was hot enough to do that.
I highly recommend this property if you're looking for a solid value at an affordable price point!

Friendly service. Very clean. Ocean view was amazing. Food was delicious. Close enough to town to walk along the beach but far enough to avoid the masses.

We loved enjoying your property this past week! We did not like signing everytime we wanted anything to eat/ drink/ any and everything. Seems waist full when we already have a all inclusive wrist band on.

Staff at check in was great. However concierge is very pushy with wanting you to purchase timeshares, this i find very inconvenient as it takes time from your vacation time. Breakfast was not good sadly. Dinners were great. Drinks are eeehhh.... travelers husband, wife, 2 teenagers

Me and my boyfriend just went in the beginning of January. This was our first time in Cabo. We got the all inclusive. By far the best experience ever. The food was amazing, the beach and excursions were so fun. Definitely recommend.

Very friendly staff, and good amenities.
Loved Carbon and Bella California restaurants for dinner. The talented performers and evening shows were fun and lively
Unfortunately, the recent Hurricane Norma had washed away beach access in front of Villa del Palmar, hopefully that can be restored.

We stayed at Villa del Palmar for an all inclusive week with our 8 year old son. The hotel itself is ok, very clean and well kept but a little dated.
The staff were the highlight, really friendly and kind, very patient and sweet with our son, pool servers were attentive and cheerful.
We liked the pickle and tennis courts, pools were nice, beach front is stunning. Restaurants were nice and food better than expected.

We had a great mini vacation. We’re so glad we picked Villa del Palmar, first time at this resort. It all started with the wonderful service we received from Luzma at the front desk. She actually checked us in and out. The 2-bedroom suite we stayed in was amazing.
Andres was our pool waiter and he did a great job in taking care of all our food and drink needs while were relaxing. Perfect service from him.
We enjoyed the meals at the Sports Bar, Taco Bar, Bella California (for dinner) and Carbon Grill.
We will definitely return to this resort. Thanks for a great vacation.

Fantastic service and food. The property has seen better days. The carpet in the room hallways was dirty and the room had a moldy smell. The entertainment was pretty weak. We had no beach access due to recent hurricane damage.
5.0
The cons-beach access was hampered by a recent hurricane, however, it looks like even if there was good access there is no opportunity to sit on the beach in front of the hotel. We would have to move down to another area. The waves from the water come right up to the wall of the hotel. It’s walkable but not good to throw down a towel. Also, the all inclusive seems a little awkward. We were in Cancun and as long as you wore a bracelet you could access anything from your hotel down. But this all inclusive requires you to sign in with your room and run a tab before signing out. It was all included unless you ordered a premium item. It seemed like a lot of paperwork and slowed things down a bit. Also, people tended to wake up early, take a towel and claim a chair which they seemed to keep all day whether they were there or not! There are signs that say that’s not allowed and towels will be removed after an hour of absence but no one seems to pay attention to that rule! We could usually find a pair of chairs together, or get one of the patio servers (who were extremely helpful) to get us a couple chairs but it was annoying! Otherwise, the staff are fantastic! All of them and they work really hard for guests. The hotel was really nice, clean and we felt safe. The food was very good and plentiful, even if you came at the tail end of the service period. The suites were lovely and the views were fantastic. Walking to town along the beach was nice too.

Rooms are small, queen beds, tv was 27”, located, you could not watch from the bed. We asked the manager for a room change, he said, he could accommodate us, would call us, never called. The hair dryer was broke, we called down to get another one, no one ever came. The hotel is dated, 2 elevators, on any given day one or the the other, or both were broke down. One elevator had old smelly carpet, didn’t go all the way down to the lobby, you had to get off at the 2nd floor and walk down. An owner told us, hotel keeps promising update, upgrade, renovate, but they never do. Only 2 restaurants for dinner on all inclusive, food was ok. It is suppose to be a beach resort, there was no beach. The pools and jacuzzis were cloudy, the towel and pool chair policy caused a lot of friction and angry yelling between patrons, created inconvenience to obtain a lounge chair and keep it for the time you wanted it. You had to go down at 4 to 6 am to claim your chair, then there was no guarantee you could get expect it to be available when you came back after breakfast. Everything not on the all inclusive is way over priced, something that would cost $3 in the States cost $25 US. The discounts they offer go towards nothing you really would want. For an all inclusive, there were only 2 beers, cokes, diet cokes, bottled waters in the refrigerator, no liquor of any kind, not what we are used to. Not everything got restocked daily you gotta go hunt it down and restock yourself.

The staff was very friendly and professional and worked hard. The room was very clean. Beautiful views of the ocean. However there was a terrible smell at the entrance of our hall to access either the stairs and the elevator. Also a very strong smell of meat/ barbecue from one of the restaurants which you could smell from everywhere except the front part of the hotel. Also the Bella California hotel which is a fantastic Italian Restaurant with top class food had to be closed several times because of the rain and I was surprised they did not have a better cover. This is not what I would except from a 4 star property. Also I was very disappointed to see how much the taxi company with who the hotel collaborates overcharge their clients. It is very dishonest. You can get a uber for half price, you just need to walk down for few minutes to catch the uber.

The hotel was wonderful. Location was great. Service and food were the best. Only one downfall- we did not know that this place is a time share property so every time we turned around, someone was trying to sell us. It started with the "concierges" of which there were several. Don't dare ask for a tour or activity because it will be "free" if only you listen to their presentation. They are inside and standing outside the hotel ready to "help" you. After 2 days of saying "no, thanks", they finally left us alone. It was quite irritating though. Otherwise, it was a wonderful vacation.

Sitting at the Airport heading home and thinking about rebooking! Can’t say enough good things about Villa Del Palmar. We did the all inclusive which a was a great choice. They were very generous with drinks and food, the service was amazing. The house keeping staff came 3 times a day to pick up and refill the honor bar( included in the all inclusive. ) visited the spa, also very nice. If your on the fence at all Book here! Can’t wait to return.

All staff were excellent! Except 1 pool service guy. Employees made our stay at Palmar satisfying, safe, and comfortable.

food was excellent but you were limited to eat basically what the resort want you to eat and when they want you to eat, totally unacceptable. I was going to be picked up by a cousin the day I left and he wasn't allowed in the property even after speaking with a supervisor so I had to walked out of the property with my kids and luggage, they claimed he was an Uber which it wasn't true, I was so disappointed that I don't know if I ever go back to that resort and these are just a couple incidents of many.
