The Owners were very friendly. Although paying was difficult, they have 1 phone line, and it took 6 times for my payment to be processed without a call coming in to cancel the transaction. And Wifi was very low and kept dropping. Our room was clean but had a musty smell and the window A/C took a day and half to cool the room.

Place was super clean and just far enough outside of the park to get away from the craziness while also being able to experience Bar Harbor and all of MDI. It’s run by an older couple and they are just as pleasant as they can be. Will probably stay here from now on. Also, not many people use their pool so it was nice to get some alone time at it. Very nice pool.

It was very nice to get a call from the owner around 8 pm as we were sitting at Mt. Cadillac to watch the sunset. She told us to enjoy ourselves and gave the number of our cottage. So we stayed a bit late, then went for dinner, and final back to the hotel. The hotel is not at the center of Bar Harbor but rathe 10 miles away on the roadside. It was comfortable for us to stay and even has a little kitchenette. No A/C was needed even in the middle of summer.

Words cannot even begin to describe the hospitality of this lovely couple who own and manage this little gem. W we were welcomed in to a cute little cottage. It was clean and had all that we needed just as described. The owners, being short handed due to the economy, manager it all themselves and take pride in doing so. We ended up staying an extra night! This delightful couple, Robert and Helena, will relish you with stories. They came from Poland in the early 70s with $10 in their pocket. He built this property. I’m not sure how many rooms there are but there is a small motel and maybe 10 cottages. They can tell you the best spots to see a sunset or the best place to eat lobster. We would definitely recommend this place. Thank you Robert and Helena for a wonderful place to stay.

The room was large and clean, but with a musty smell.Towels were paper thin and scratchy. .NO WIFI(of any speed) and very weak phone reception.

No room cleaning because of covid. Do laundry yourself before 8pm. No microwave in the room. Small refrigerator with broken pieces. One of the lamps not working. Uncomfortable bed. Will definitely choose other places next time

Staying in a cottage at Sunnyside was a fun and unique way for us to enjoy Acadia. We stayed there 1 week, and it was super convenient to all of Acadia and just a 15 minutes drive to Bar Harbor. We enjoyed sitting outside our cottage in the evenings and watching the sunset. The owners are very friendly and helpful.

The place is clean and quiet. Very cute and quaint. My only problem was there was no one in the office when I dropped off the keys so I could tell them their toilet had a leak.

This property is very clean and well run by a lovely couple who obviously take a lot of pride in their work. We were very happy with our choice. The price matches for what you get. Our main issue was it was a bit far away, but that is why it is less expensive. We would recommend

The hotel was adequate to meet our needs. It was a no - frills motel room close to both Bar Harbor and Ellsworth. The pillows were awful and the first night was very uncomfortable, but they brought us more pillows the second night and I slept like a baby.

We had a corner room and it was so convenient to park right out front. We also had a little porch! It would have been nice to have a microwave in the room (there was a refrigerator) and a coffee maker. The shower was very small, but the room was nice.

We have stayed in a Cabin, and our experience is good. The only issue that needs to be addressed is the internet connection and WiFi around the property. Internet speeds are terrible, and WiFi Signal quality is also awful. Even if you have a good signal, it takes 3 to 5 minutes to load a page. Cellular signal is also terrible in this area, and if you need to access the internet, this is not a place to stay.

Great place to stay to see all the island has to offer , stayed 4 nights loved that the beds were firm , place was super clean and I always worry about smells when I stay somewhere ...no smells here everything was clean ! Nice size room with king size bed , shower was small but great water pressure and was hot

Cabin #1 is a (2)bdrm. It’s located very close to the main road & you can hear the constant sound of cars driving by, even with the windows closed. The one bathroom is accessible by walking through the 1st bedroom. The 2nd bdrm is accessible by walking through the 1st bdrm.Good luck trying to sleep in the 1st bdrm! NOT an ideal set up at ALL for a (2) bedroom.
