Great location. Very luxurious. Views were incredible. All employees were very friendly. The operations manager was present and helpful during our stay.
Beach was amazing.

Beautiful accommodations & grounds! Rooms spacious & with large balconies facing a gorgeous beach! We booked the ocean view room with jacuzzi! Very quiet & calm environment! It is built into a hill so we had to climb like 90 steps to get to our room from the beach, pool & restaurant. We actually found the road easier than the steps although definitely a bit of a workout. Do think you can arrange with the front desk to get a ride up from the lobby if you work it out with them. A couple with a 2 year old got driven up to their room. The restaurant was nice, decor excellent, servers & all staff were so friendly. However they did run out of many items on the menu & could use to ramp up the menu! Our room had a kitchenette area no stove but a few burners so if you’d want you can cook in. A grocery store is a few minutes drive away. One other item & an important one since it’s a beach resort not enough beach towels. So hang on to the ones you’re lucky to get & hang them on your patio chair to dry until you can exchange for fresh ones. Just a short walk down the beach is Dennis restaurant which was pretty good & great views! All in all even with a few issues my husband & I loved this resort for its relaxing atmosphere & beautiful surroundings!

Thanks Tamarind Hills for another glorious stay. What a great job you have done developing the place… it looks terrific. The restaurant was fantastic- particularly the mahi mahi, fish tacos & tuna tartare.
Great friendly staff. Thank you.

Beautiful views. Massive amount of mountain climbing to get to and from the room. Shower was clogged the entire week of our stay. Chef was polite. The woman that checked us in was polite. Food was insanely overpriced, extremely small TINY portions, extremely limited options, accommodating at first but after the second meal special requests, even due to allergies, just seemed to be annoying. Obviously everyone is on island time, but there were multiple instances daily where we ordered things and just flat out never got them and upon asking would find out that it was just forgotten. Peaceful property. Quiet location. Not really near any shopping, outside dining, etc. Taxis to St John’s were over $120. TONS of bugs, bring bug spray!!
OH and the amount on your receipt at check out is NOT what they will charge your card. They will absolutely upcharge your card after you check out and leave the property.

They are not ready for guests. Failure to launch is the best way to put it. The wait times for food was absurd. Not enough chairs or towels for the beach. And the flies were so bad, you couldn’t eat.

Beautiful property, lovely gardens
Good room with good views
The Pilates/ yoga / nature walks were advertised in the reception as free. What was not made clear is that 4 people need to sign up for the class, for the class to go ahead. We turned up on 2 occasions to find that the class/ walk was not on.

The property is beautiful and well taken care of. The only downfall is the time of year I went being downtime and many places not open back up. Also there was issues with water and which made a couple days inconvenient especially with the outside activities and no distinct hot water gauge. It would’ve been nice to be aware so I could’ve planned accordingly prior to arrival. Better fly and mosquito maintenance if have open restaurant facilities. But as said in beginning the view and property made the trip awesome. All staff were friendly and very helpful.

the only problem i had was how expensive the food was on and off the hotel.

Overall, property, rooms and setting were beautiful and inviting.

The People were the best part of our stay at Tamarind Hills.

We truly enjoyed our visit and we would definitely be visiting again. Reason being:
1. The scenery was truly BEAUTIFUL; waking up to such every morning was just beyond breathtaking.
2. The room was aesthetically pleasing and spacious
3. Staff? friendly and comforting for sure
We would consider our visit as the perfect get away. Thank you so much for having us!

The property was absolutely beautiful. Pictures do no justice. Clean and well kept. Beautiful room for views. A lot of walking of stairs and inclines to get up and down to the beach and main pool. The only thing that wasn’t great about this place was the food. Not really good and overly expensive. No true local or authentic Carribean cuisine.

The property is gorgeous. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable. There is not much to do on the property and is more of a beach/relaxation vibe (the beach is beautiful & 3rd parties jet ski to the beach where you can rent for 30-60min). There is currently on 1 restaurant operating & it has a rather small menu. It is pricy for the portion size, however, that can be expected on a resort. There is a gym but no spa or "store" on the property. There is a supermarket about a 10 min drive where can find all necessities. I did enjoy my stay at Tamarind Hills and got a nice tan! The staff was awesome & knowledgeable about things to do on the Island. They were also able to book a snorkeling & a sunset cruise for us. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

We enjoyed our stay at Tamarin Hills, Staying there for 7 nights and lovely staff beautifu property and the beach is beautiful. Only one thing we don't like they don't have full size tall mirror. Can't see ourselves when we getting ready.

Tamarind Hills exceeded my expectations. I’ve been all over the world and this has been the best resort I’ve ever stayed in. The service was amazing, the workers are friendly, they seem really happy to help you in any way they can. The grounds are extremely clean & they clean the rooms thoroughly every single day. I had the ocean view jacuzzi suite & it was very sexy. The views from the jacuzzi was immaculate! This resort is def a resort for couples. I’d feel odd if I didn’t come with my husband tbh. It’s not a resort for just friends or family, it’s very romantic & perfect for honeymoons, anniversaries or baecations. I came here for my husband’s birthday and we had a blast. Mr. James was really nice! He helped us with anything we needed the entire trip, whether it was a ride to our room or a cab. He was very nice & helpful. I will say that Tamarind Hills is exactly that.. HILLS. If you’re lazy, this isn’t the place for you. The hills are really steep so be prepared to hike from your room and back. The beach is gorgeous & the pool is beautiful, it’s a plunge pool attached to the resort restaurant. The only thing that I felt could’ve been better was the menu at the restaurant, it was very limited. I wish they had more options especially for breakfast. I was looking forward to having date night dinner there every night but the lack of options made me make reservations off the resort which kinda sucked because I did not want to leave the resort. We will def be back, 10/10!

Our driver Shaine was amazing as was Gavisha "Trouble" in the main restaurant. The rest of the staff was also very lovely and gave us great recommendations on local places to eat. Nafudn at the front desk was great and helpful as well. The hotel and grounds are very nice but beware if you are staying in any suites high up on the hill - the walk is unbearable but luckily they can drive you up to your suite. Lunch and dinner was ok with limited options and very small portions while being pricey - probably main reason we only ate at the hotel handful times for dinner. Breakfast wasn't great either with limited options. Also limited amount of sunbeds with shade on the beach so if you do not get there early, then you are out of luck. We were also berated by a women claiming because she had bought a villa at Tamarind Hills she should always have a selection of sunbeds and the area of sunbeds with shade are hers - which was false and no one from the resort told us anything about that.

We spent 5 nights at the excellent Tamarind Hills. The property is set in a beautiful location overlooking Frryes beach. Our accommodation was clean, well-maintained, and had everything we required. The property itself is also well maintained with a nice restaurant and all beach facilities. Communication before and during our stay with the staff was excellent in particular Nafuna who was a star.

Very nice hotel but lacks communication…… I made reservations for my girlfriends birthday and wanted ballons/flowers delivered on her special day. Needless to say they dropped the ball! I was told “We were calling your room several times but no answer”. Why would we be in our room? We’re on vacation! Plus I figured I would get her out early so they can come drop off everything and be a surprise when we return. We were given a bottle of champagne as an apology. Special shout out to the front desk and bartenders! Very professional and made sure we were treated well… My suggestion is to use WhatsApp as a form of communication to reach hotel guest or email. Lastly please change your restaurants menu! That’s a bland Italian menu and doesn’t fit the Caribbean vibe. Sheer Rocks restaurant has a nice menu! You might want to take notes from them and for flavor…..

The staff was incredible. They made us feel welcomed and encouraged us to enjoy our time at the hotel and on the island. The hotel is clean and the grounds are well kept. The views overlooking the water are breathtaking and you may have a tough time leaving. We will be back in the future.

We love our stay. The stay was friendly. The beach is beautiful with a local flair. The rooms are huge. It was great!! Highly recommend

There are both good and bad parts. The good, the property is beautiful, it is built right onto the hills and faces the beach directly and the views are amazing. The beach is perfect too.The rooms are extremely comfortable, tastefully decorated and well equipped. We needed nothing. Our balcony had a sunken hot tub and very comfortable couch and lounge chairs. There is no cable TV but a smart TV is there but be aware that USA programs like Hulu and YouTubeTV are blocked.
The negative. This resort is not for the faint of heart. We were on the upper levels and there is no elevator. We had to climb 174 steps to reach our unit. It really was unbearable and honestly the stairs are extremely unsafe, no railings, very steep pitch and not uniform in height. The alternatives were to walk the road, but it too was so steep you felt unsafe, and my traveling partner slipped and took a nasty fall. They do offer a shuttle, but it is very inconvenient, and you may have to wait 10-15 minutes for it. This place is very isolated, so the beach was uncrowded and in 2-weeks we never saw more than 10 people on the beach, which was nice. The beach is safe and the water was divine. We wish we could say good things about the restaurant but it is not possible. Incredibly overpriced, our bagel with salmon, small fruit bowl, one coffee and one beer was $65. The portions are very small too. Every guest we talked to basically ate one meal only and went elsewhere after. The location is beautiful.

Tamarind Hills is set on a beautiful lush hillside with fantastic views! The unit we stayed in had lots of privacy and stunning views of the beach and surrounding landscape.
We really enjoyed our stay and the property.
The only problem we had unfortunately was the food.
The recently completed and beautifully set on the beach restaurant, has a very limited menu and lack of creative healthy or local cuisine.
When we 1st arrived at the resort at 2:30 in the afternoon, we were starving and asked if we can have a salad at the restaurant.
We were told unfortunately the restaurant has limited hours of operation and was closed between lunch and dinner. Then they agreed to compromise and prepare us a light meal since we were about to pass out.
We asked the chef Alessandro to prepare a salad, he said not possible, we were served some bread and anchovies that tasted like from a can.
We had dinner at the same restaurant, The Wild Tamarind, the same night. We ordered the local fish Wahoo, it was like eating dried out rubber, with a side of overcooked Bok choy, terrible to say the least.
I think this restaurant could use some new ideas, healthy salads, fresh local fish and authentic local cuisine might help!

Very nice private beach

Great beach and nice rooms. Extremely expensive food and drinks. Would be much nicer if they wouldn't try to rob their guests with mediocre food and drinks.

Loved beautiful location, hotel rooms and deck. Its close to many restaurants & grocery store quick taxi ride away.

The property was beautiful! The room was top notch and spacious with an amazing. The staff were very friendly, helpful and kind. The grounds were pristine even with construction going on to further enhance the experience in the future. The beach is literally at your feet, with a boardwalk that connects to a second smaller beach area. I don't generally visit the same place twice, but plan to revisit again!!!!

Beautifully kept in a beautifully location. Not fully completed project but our apartment was spot on.
Staff, location and proximity to the beach was perfect. Very modern, clean tidy and well presented. Nice welcome pack and well laid okey after by all staff.
All in all it was a perfect week.

I just want to say this was by far the best trip I have ever had! Antigua is gorgeous all round! From the people, the food, the beach, antigua = tranquility/peaceful. Tamarind hills over met my expectations from the moment I arrived to the moment I left. Every single person at tamarind hills was by far exceptional & went above and beyond to accommodate my needs. Check in was very smooth with Adrian. Nafuna made sure everything was always taken care of. House keeping came in every single day, assuring our room was always well kept! Restaurants were all great! The food was exceptional! My only critique would be transportation, there’s either a lack of communication with the drivers or they run late. But otherwise every single shuttle/taxi driver was very respectful & made sure I felt safe. I made breakfast in my room & had dinner outside! I enjoyed an awesome boat excursion & definitely enjoyed my time on the beach. If you want a stress free vacation, this is the one for you! Thank you tamarind hills for such an exceptional service! I will be back soon!

Today was my last day here and I didn't want to leave. The room is beautiful, the view is spectacular and Customer service impeccable. I can not wait to come back. First time here but it wont be the last. Still a bit under construction but when the restaurant is done breakfast and lunch options will be easier. Cant wait to come back.
