This property was great for a quiet getaway. Unlike many resorts we have been to. We enjoyed the change but it may not be everyone’s cup of tea. Only thing we didn't love was that our view was obstructed so our plunge pool was freezing the entire time making it unusable. We paid a-lot more for thar upgrade so it was a bummer. Otherwise the staff was friendly and we enjoyed our stay. Also, they do treat the area for bugs so we didn't have any issues, loved that!

We had a wonderful stay here. The staff are lovely, the pool and beach are gorgeous, and our suite was amazing; a little rustic, but that gave it charm.
The only big negative was the bang average food. It’s a set menu each day and honestly we slightly dreaded it each day 😂. Not that it wasn’t perfectly edible, just stale bread, fish tougher than a flip flop, orange juice from a concentrate carton. We had 9 meals and non were great, but we’re still really happy we went! Much better than the loud mega resorts.

Absolutely wonderful Resort. All staff were amazing, especially compared to other Caribbean islands. Food, although daily options were limited, also changed daily and were all very good. Only downside was the resort can be a little petty when it comes to charging for additional things that are typically standard at most other all-inclusive resorts.

Our service was mediocre at best. Requested a few simple items that we saw other guests had, and we were told no to a can of Coke. Some guests had top notch service where others seemed as if they were a bother when just asking for a drink. Food was not great. Rooms were ok. Private pool was too cold to use after spending a few hundred more just to look at it. I enjoyed my banter with a couple of the baristas in the coffee shop and a cool sever named Deeleeka and the bartender Marlon was very nice too. All in all I would not choose Cocobay again in the future.

Cocobay Resort was a dream come true. Absolutely stunning views - pictures do not do it justice.
The staff were EXCEPTIONAL. They were what brought the entire experience to a new level. Derek was our main bartender and he was fantastic.
The food was amazing. There was a lot of variety and everything tasted fresh and delicious.
I cannot wait to go back to this resort.

The property and views itself are absolutely stunning. The staff from management down to housekeeping are all incredibly hospitable. The food is top notch for all inclusive. Would definitely recommend Antigua and cocobay and look forward to returning.

Whilst the hotel had some nice touches the room had totally inadequate storage space for clothes meaning they remained in our cases. You certainly would not want to stay there for too long. The cabin (Yabba) was tired and had a leaking roof. Staff and food were excellent

What I liked about this property was the pools and drinks. I received an upgraded room with the pool which was very nice but there were flies everywhere which made it impossible to enjoy. Especially while eating. It was hundreds of them flying around every where very disgusting. The resort is very rustic and could use a lot of upgrades in the rooms. We had plumbing issues. Bugs I've never seen and of course the flies They were relentless. Some of the staff were more caring than others and tried to help by giving us napkins to cover our food. The restaurant is outdoors so there was no getting away. This is supposed to be an all inclusive hotel but you can only get a meal at a certain time of day so we mostly ate out. I will definitely return to Antigua because I love the island but won't be staying here. Also there is absolutely no entertainment not even a television in the room.

The property itself was beautiful. Our cottage was very nice with an amazing ocean view and wonderful private plunge pool. The food was delicious and the staff are excellent! They go out of their way every day and Liza and the staff made my birthday so memorable and sweet! We would definitely stay again.

This resort has many pros, unfortunately, also many cons. My number ONE main issue was the water situation. I got sick almost,nearing to want to go to the hospital with the water that is offered, for the price we pay we deserve bottles of water, not water from a purified system as the Caribbean “purifies” water differently than the U.S. DO NOT DRINK THE WATER HERE bring your own bottles or take a $24 dollar taxi to the grocery that’s 7 minutes away because this messed up my short vacation as my stomach was very ill & I ended up needing to go to the grocery and get medicine and water bottles for myself and finally started to feel a little better however this is unacceptable. I’ve been to MANY foreign countries that offer water bottles, with 0 problem. Also, all the front desk has to offer is Advil or Tylenol, they need to invest in more medicine for guests if the owner is so cheap to provide water bottles! I even stopped getting my drinks with ice as I became very scared of getting sick again. Secondly, the vibes are not there unless you’re 90. The music track list at the bar sends you to sleep it’s not upbeat at all. Also this resort is very boring not much entertainment and not much to do. Thankfully, the staff are very pleasant and accommodating, they were such sweethearts and offered me their personal stomach medicine they had. The view is beautiful almost feels unreal and the floating breakfast is very cute at an additional cost. The sailing hobby cat was also cool to do.

As first timers in Antigua we decided to stay at the CocoBay Resort for my sister’s birthday because it received such high reviews, and this resort exceeded our expectations. Upon arrival we were greeted with their famous Rum Punch while waiting to be checked in. The resort itself was breathtaking with incredible views and beautiful landscaping. No matter where you stayed at the resort, your view was spectacular. The pools, food and drinks were all great but the one thing that stood out to us the most was the kindness and hospitality that the staff showed us during our entire stay.
To mention a few: Kerry helped assist with my sister’s floating breakfast on the day of her birthday. He was so kind and made sure she had the best morning ever while offering us additional drinks (which were delicious!) Marlan, Saskia and Vincia were outstanding bartenders – we enjoyed chatting with them during our stay. We also spoke with Mr. Gore a few times during our stay. His energy was always so positive, and he has a warm smile that makes you feel like you’ve known him for forever. I also want to shout out all of the ladies at the front desk – they were so lovely and extremely helpful in answering all of our questions. Almost all staff members that knew greeted my sister in passing just to wish her a happy birthday which made you feel so welcome.
If you are looking for a resort whether it be for a birthday celebration or honeymoon stay, I highly recommend CocoBay.

The staff was Great.The property location an views was great.The cottage with pool an ocean view is a lil dated. The food was ok.Did not like dinner menu not tasty to me.There is 2 restaurants on the resort, but you have to make reservations an there is a fee.The dinner menu had up charges.,but taste an quality of seafood was poor.The coffee an gift shop closes at 3pm.No entertainment on Weds an Thursday nite.I don't think it should be a VIP resort. The Wi fi is poor an there is no TV on resort. THE STAFF IS GREAT!...

The rooms are actual cottages so prepare to be in a small jungle. Ferrets also roam the resorts. The AC only makes the room cold after 5-6am where you wake up freezing.
The eating here is VERY VERY limited. There is no buffet style eating. Breakfast consists of three different options everyday and the first two are ALWAYS the same. I was never in the property during lunch but I can say that it would also be the same thing. Same applies for dinner. So if you eat any of the meals and are left hungry, that’s literally on you. There is a small shop that’s open daily from 7am-3pm which serves smoothies, coffees, cookies, and you can purchase chips. They also have a “bar food” from ONLY 3pm-5pm which consist of ONLY 2 options daily, one being some sort of protein and another being popcorn. Being in the sun all day and in the water will get you hungry so prepare to semi starve.
Some staff are friendlier than others and are willing to help more. The staff here are not really knowledgeable of the excursions. You ask a question and sometimes they don’t know the answer too, they’re supposed to get back to you but then they don’t.
Many things were paid on a credit card rather than cash but I did have an issue with an excursion only accepting cash, which I no longer had, and was taking to 5 different ATMs and was not able to take out cash. (Chase Bank so make sure to bring sufficient cash.
Also recommend this resort should be only couples because only couples stay here

This review is based on my approach to vacation, very low key and just glad to be away from the States hustle and bustle. I have been to high end and budget destinations throughout the years, but as I get older, more intimate is my way to go. I was there August 12-19, 2023 -the lowest tourist time.
* I love that this property is "off-the-grid" from the Tourist areas, and the view is absolutely AMAZING. I loved the cottages being tucked into the landscape. Some areas may be difficult to walk for those with bad knees, hips, etc. -as their website also advises not handicap friendly.
* I stayed in a deluxe garden view - which gave me beautiful view of Valley Church, Jolly beach, and the turquoise bay. The cottage provided all that I need - a bed and shower. The main room is air conditioned, however the bathroom is not.
* The main infinity pool is refreshing and provides an all day view of the mountains and bay.
* The staff was exceptional. From the front desk to grounds, every person we came in contact was personable and very accommodating.
* The food, for me, was well portioned and unique. This is not your typical all-inclusive food package. There are no buffets going all day long. Each meal was sit-down with a menu. The beach bar did paninis and at 3:00pm the top bar had bar bites to order. The menus had unique plates, but almost everything could be altered to your liking. I suggest reviewing menus online, if you are not willing to try different things.
