Absolutely phenomenal! From the moment we arrived at Hotel Engel in Emmetten, the staff went above and beyond—helping with laundry, offering brilliant touring tips, and solving our transportation challenges. Every meal was a culinary delight, and the hospitality was unmatched. Warm, professional, and genuinely caring, the team made our stay unforgettable, especially the Owner! I can’t recommend this hotel enough—truly a five-star experience in every way!

This is a very quaint hotel, only negatives not enough power in the room and could not find any English language channels on tv. The staff was so helpful the owner went out of her way to help locate a rental car for us. One last issue there was no safe or refrigerator in the room this was a minor issue we delt with.

The hotel has an amazing mountain view. Nearby there are a lot of opportunities for hiking.

Clean and roomy room. Excellent staff with positive attitudes! Good buffet breakfast. It was unseasonably warm when we stayed but they helped us out with a fan which was very much appreciated. For dinner: although fondue was out of season they let us order it with a couple hours notice. It was absolutely delicious!!
