If you have allergies, you might need to stay somewhere else. The room smelled of smoke and mildew. It had a super old carpet. There was two small (thin) pillows on a king size bed. The bed sheets and comforter were so worn out and thin—they were clearly extremely old. House cleaning opened my room door without knocking.

Stayed here to stay closer to the eclipse than my home.
Quiet, Clean, good place to sleep.

We have never stayed in a place like this in our lives. This is the first place that did not have a coffee pot. The hvac did not work. There were 2 tiny pillows on the bed about 2" thick. There was 1 towel each in the bathroom and no tissues. Never again.

The bottom of our trash can was filled with black, green, white, and orange mold, the shower floor was absolutely disgusting and the water wouldn’t drain because there was a huge clump of hair at the top of the drain. The hallways reeked of weed and cigarettes. Front desk workers were not nice and helpful. The housekeeper was cool tho

I got the room for a quick get away, it was inexpensive. As soon as I got there i had to pay a 100 deposit in case the room smelled when i left. No problem the whole hotel smelled bad alot of air freshener if you knkw what i mean. Room was clean but when i decided to take a shower there was no water coming out of shower I told night manager and he gave me my deposit back but not my room money😐 didnt fewl like arguing but totally disappointed. Never again...

This is a bare-bones, basic motel in a super-convenient location, perfect for Carle Clinic patients and families. It is an ageing motel, kept in decent shape by its hard-working owners. If comfort, decor, modern features are essential to you, there are many other choices in town. But the price is very reasonable, my room was acceptably clean, and everything worked.
I would strongly advise the apparently ill-used manager (bad past guests), to find a more standard, more subtle way of guaranteeing a damage deposit than to charge $100 on top of the initial room charge, then, refunding the charge on departure after a room inspection. Other hotels manage to use credit card info to collect on any damage later. See what the major chains do. But I was very honestly refunded my $100 back I left. (Final request, since the motel's windows have screens, those guests who love fresh air would appreciate being able to open those windows sometimes.)

Liked the fact it was near hospital, that was surprisingly quiet. Liked that it was easy to find and parking was well lit. Liked that it was conveniently inexpensive for just a single nite stay. Didn't like the fact that the water for the sink barely got hot enough to wash hands/face, unless you turned on the shower. Didn't like fact that ice bucket lid appeared to have mildew/mold on inside (did not use at all for that reason.) Didn't like that there were stains in the carpet that you couldn't tell if they were new or old, treated or untreated. Ignored the fact that there was painted over graffiti on walls. All-in-all, would consider staying again if for only one nite.

The gentleman who checked me in was friendly. I have stayed at inexpensive hotels in the past. The room itself was clean. Unfortunately, the bathroom needs much improvement. The sink was not cleaned and the shower was horrible and I would not shower in it. It looked like black mold in the shower base and the grout also had mold.

It’s certainly not luxurious, but very adequate for the economic traveler.

What a dive!! People out drinking 40ozr's in the parking with their music blasting. Check-in is done through bulletproof glass with you standing on the outside of the building. No lobby to enter, you stand on the sidewalk and talk (well try to talk, more like yell) to the attendant through a 4" wide, 2" high cut out in the bulletproof glass. Across from a hospital ER, so lots of sirens and homeless people sleeping on the bus stop benches. The room was kinda clean, except for a big glob of hair stuck to one of the outside corners of the tub and a brown, non-descript smudge on one of the walls. If you traveled through New York city in the mid 70's, you'll feel right at home. Best thing I can say is at least my truck was still there in the morning, with all it's wheels in place.

The place is clean and tidy if a tad worn in. I thought it was homey. Management was no-nonsense, but nice. The one warning - the hallways had a linger of smoke, tobacco and marijuana, in the wee hours. Our room didn't smell of smoke. University Ave is relatively loud at night. Carle Hospital is right there. It's a short walk to the downtown core with lots of funky shops, good beer and food, Silver Creek and Courier Cafe both a stone's throw. Bohemia is super cool. Crane Alley? Excellent local beer and tasty food.

Owner did not put wife on register, she left the room for a short time and when she returned he would not let her in. It was 89 degrees and she was forced to stay outside, without water or a place to go to the bathroom and she's pregnant.

I am very happy to check in before 12 o 'clock, the environment is relatively quiet, but the toilet is not clean enough

Its run down and lacks curb appeal. Smelled like cigarrette and marijuana smoke upstairs. But our room was very clean and the service was good. Excellent location and a great price. You just need to know going in its not going to be super nice.

For the money it was what we expected. The owner was pleasant and let us look a room before we decided to stay. looked to me like 1970s. Was clean and what more do you need . Breakfast was coffee. muffins, juice and bannanas. It is 1/2 block from the Carle hospital where we needed to be. I would stay again.

Outlets in bathroom not functional for use of hair dryer.

Its an inexpensive place to sleep. The room itself was fine: a comfortable bed with clean sheets. The bathroom, however, could have used a thorough cleaning. The TV and WiFi both worked well and the breakfast consisted of over ripe bananas and coffee. Overall, its not terrible, and if I were staying in this area again and was strapped for cash, I would stay here.

There were gunshots in the windows and they gave me a refund but also stated that they won’t charge “poor people” anyways. We went and stayed somewhere else.

My daughter forgot her wallet in a drawer and the staff mailed it to us! Very nice staff
