We arrived much earlier than the check in time. When I reached out to the property via booking, I was advised to call the morning of the reservation. I called first thing and was offered a check in time of 1:30, rather than the standard 3pm. There was no extra charge.
The bed was comfortable and the linens and towels were clean, and the shower had good pressure. Coffee and hot water are available 24/7. There is a great breakfast and lunch restaurant around the corner from the property - Maple and Yolk, and there is also a Circle K within walking distance for any convenience store needs. Staff were nice and helpful as much as they were allowed within the property's guidelines.
Our bathroom smelled strongly of cigarette and marijuana smoke. We had to keep the fan on continuously to help with the smell. There is a sign on the door that there is NO SMOKING of cigarettes or marijuana in the rooms or bathrooms. I let the person at the front desk know that it wasn't us! She said the building is old and the smell is in the vents. It smelled pretty fresh to me.
There is no holding of luggage, so we had to wait in the small lobby with our luggage until we could check in - for about 1.5 hours. We would have rather stored our luggage and go exploring around the campus.
