Weekend getaway! Bar and restaurant also had tremendous vibe! Food and drinks were great as well!

Bed was way too soft. It would be great if you like that sort of thing.
The food was not great. Pickles were burnt and they would not replace them. We were told that’s how they come. And the stroganoff is mainly Alfredo with beef and mushrooms. And extremely overpriced for heat and eat from Sysco.

The resort is very nice..all the staff was super friendly...the prime rib was great as well...only down fall...the bed in our room SUCKED...but overall...id suggest this place to anyone

We stayed for a birthday weekend. Service was good and everyone was friendly and welcoming. The room was a bit dated but it was very clean. A few things we noticed were that the table was broken and made cutting the cake and feeding kids hard as it kept spinning a wobbling. Beds were lumpy and Murphy bed would not fold back into the wall to give additional party space.
The pool was nice but the hot tub had A LOT of foreign debris floating around in it which was kind of gross. We ate at the restaurant which had delicious food and wonderful service. I loved that we could bring our dog but the additional $20 per night was kind of steep as we normally pay a flat rate for him.
All in all a nice experience for the kids and myself.

We stayed here for one night with four of our kids in the middle of winter and they loved it! They thought that our loft room was super cool, and there was plenty of sleeping space for all 6 of us. The pool was big but a little on the chilly side, so they mostly wanted to be in the hot tub. They loved the waffle maker for breakfast! We would love to go back in the summer and really experience the lake!

Don’t drink the water!

Everything was beautiful. My only complaint is that we ate at restaurant and my sister got food poisoning. Also the handicap parking is not the most convenient. The view of the lake was nice and the rooms were very clean.

Old. In need of updating!! Beds uncomfortable. Bar/restaurant nice. Friendly, good food.

We were there in winter. Summer would be awesome. But beautiful view. Sidewalks and driveways well maintained.

Great service overall. Nice sauna and Meatless Monday dining options. We enjoyed the jazz musician playing in the evenings, too.

It was rustic and beautiful with a nice combo of restored architecture with modern touches. Beautiful grounds, lake view and nice dining areas were all pluses. There were 2 significant problematic areas that if fixed would have made this a 5 star review. The bathroom sink drained slowly and had a huge crack in the basin. The hot water smelled horribly like iron and sulphuric acid. The orange juice at breakfast tasted like that tap water. Not a good way to start the day…

The room is a dump. Don’t stay in the cedar lodge. The ceiling is falling down in the bathroom, there are tons of dead lady bugs, the carpet and flooring hasn’t been changed since the 70s and it’s ungodly hot upstairs. The room is small and clutter with furniture, which is how they get away with saying it sleeps so many. The water wreaks like iron and don’t get me started on the shower/tub.
The main resort is beautiful. The bar and restaurant are wonderful.

Size and layout of room in the main lodge - enough outlets to support all my devices that needed charging (all at once!!).

Beautiful and rustic lodge was exactly what we were looking for. Peaceful and relaxing place to stay. Beds were comfortable, breakfast was standard but with fresh pastries/muffins. Dinner was above average . Waiter wasn’t very friendly and make sure you bring your own straw! They have a struck policy of no straws (no, I’m not kidding). I made the mistake of asking for one, and although she relented, I felt like I asked her to go butcher Bambi.

Stayed only one night on a college visit. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Setting and lobby are gorgeous, room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. I didn't need dinner the night I arrived, but the dining room looked tempting.

Beautiful location! The main lodge is great and has a nice reading nook looking out to the lake. We were only there for one night but enjoyed our little balcony to view the lake.

Nice place to stay. Good food. The only thing that would not have me come back was the water had a terrible smell. Almost smelled like sewage.

In addition to the lodge being quiet enough for me to get a spectacular night's sleep, the front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful, even leaving the desk to help me find my cabin when I got lost at night in the dark. Also, I arrived five minutes before the restaurant closed, and they were still willing to fix me a late dinner. If I'm ever traveling to Bemidji again, I will definitely stay here!

I liked the property itself and the staff was very nice, bar was great and the view incredible but our kitchenette was awful ,really needs updating , I did not use the kitchen because the pans were dirty and I felt like I had to wash everything before I used it, very disappointing ,if you are going to have such a lovely resort it all needs to be similar, I understand old but it should be at least usable, I'm not a complainer but I do like to cook and was looking forward to just easy stuff, manager should check it out her or himself

The lodge was in very nice condition. Hallways were clean and well maintained. My room was clean and well maintained. It was obvious that the rooms have been renovated in recent years. Everything appeared very new.

I love the lodge, excellent food and the beautiful area.
My complaint would be the room we stayed in needs a lot of updates. Our room had some electrical wires visible above the shower, along the ceiling. Carpets need to be cleaned. Windows were dirty. Walls need to be repainted. I know it’s under new ownership and they have a lot of property to update.
The beds were very comfortable. I would stay again, but next time I’ll stay inside the lodge that has been totally updated.

Resort grounds and view are amazing. Food is fantastic! Chicken wings are the best we have ever had! Price for rooms are a little expensive for the condition of the rooms. Main lodge is the best.

Very kind staff. They let me check in a bit early due to the fact that I was waiting for repairs on my vehicle and was stranded. Lovely area; safe, great main complex and cabins, which were spacious and inviting. Book early and be aware of the late check-in time of 5 pm. Not sure if that's normal but it seems a bit late compared to other places.

The beds were super com but Our cabin was fly infested! The curtains didn't stay on the wall because they were too long and hungover on the bed. The walls and ceiling and floors were all very dirty. I would have to say the worst part about it was the sewer gas smell that was surrounding the place.

We rented a room on the third floor 310, right next to the second floor bar evidently, our first night there was a Saturday night and it’s a party vibe at the resort on the weekend according to an employee. Sunday night was quite and no noise disturbances. Saturday night we ate at their restaurant which was very busy. We saw our waitress once when she took our order, someone else brought our food, and nobody came back once to check on us to see if we needed anything else, not even to give us the bill. Next day we told the manager so we could pay for the meals and come check out they didn’t even give a discount on the meal service, nothing. I’d say this place needs help.

The cabin was dirty and full of spiders. We ended up leaving and finding a new hotel to stay at. I’ve stayed in the main lodge here and I highly recommend staying in the lodge, but I would steer clear of the cabins.

Met up with BSU friends from many years ago! Love the lodge and lake. And of course the resort dogs! I went to Rutgers when I was a kid! Very northern Minnesota. Of course lake was beautiful. Will make reservations again!

overall will not be staying again, our toliet had problems flushing sometimes it would work and sometimes it wouldn't & when we mentioned it i was told they didn't have maintenance so we would have to wait till tomorrow as we had to check out at 11!
Bathroom door would get stuck on top of frame and grind against the ground, so you couldn't even actually close the bathroom.
Had 1/3 lightbulbs in our main light for the cabin. When we arrived to our cabin, the other residents were using all of our things. Such as our chairs our table our grill, we had to round up all of our things. Which isn't a huge deal but unnecessary not something i should of had to do.
Very much didn't like the fact we couldn't be completely locked off like in a hotel, you have a a deadbolt but they are still able to enter your room when your there and not there wether it's for house keeping or not i didn't like that, we had to sleep with something in front of our door. To insure no one was just going to enter while sleeping
overall not worth the price, was expecting a nice experience, it was okay the view was very pretty and the actual main building was very nice, just the room wasnt up to a 200$ a night standard

Very beautiful place with great lake access for swimming and boating. We loved the restaurant and ate there both nights. Breakfast was good, but could use some protein options. Staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!

Great service at check-in. Restaurant in the resort made dinner a breeze, and the food was excellent. Room was clean and comfortable with a beautiful view of the lake. Continental breakfast was incredible. Lots of options. Well worth the money for what you get.
