Wonderful old hotel built into the city walls. Friendly and helpful staff and upgraded room were excellent Perfectly placed for the old city centre, quay and cathedral but easily accessible by car - reduced rate at secure parking across the road.

This hotel is very centrally located in the old section. The staff is delightful. When we entered, the woman at the desk warned us that there might be a hot water heater problem. Within the hour she informed us that all was well. The only drawback for the elderly or handicapped is that one must climb several charming stairs to reach the lobby.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Basses Pyrénées in one of their junior suites. Great staff, easy, welcoming check-in, and breakfast. The rooms were well furnished in a very unique set of rooms. Great amenities and comfortable stay. Nice location to see the old town of Bayonne. Will definitely come back to the hotel when in the area again.

The property should not be considered a four-star hotel. The staff were lovely. Location and parking very good and easy. The hotel amenities are basic and simple. More of a three-star experience at best.

Very nice small hotel quite close to Durbar square on foot. Very good location, central but very quiet at the same time. Big room with all the comforts. Very nice food and service. Highly recommendable.

A beautiful state for our weekend in Bayonne. Impeccable room, service, restaurant and café. If you’d like quiet, you might consider requesting a street view as the Terrace restaurant was busy until very late.

Lovely little hotel very close to the beautiful independent shops of Bayonne. The only thing letting it down for us was that it was a little dusty on the bathroom floor. The air con was brilliant and quiet though and it’s well located for the sights of Bayonne & Biarritz. Would recommend.

Always a pleasure to stay at Hotel des Basses Pyrenees! The place is beautiful and clean, easily accessible, the restaurant is good, staff too. The area around is great and Biarritz is a short drive from the hotel. Share this with only your coolest friends.

This was our first trip to Bayonne and it wont be our last. From the moment we arrived we felt at home, the hotel were very friendly and welcoming. We were upgraded to a junior suite over looking the rugby pitch and a side view of the river, it was very spacious clean and perfect.

Very nice hotel in the centre of Bayonne (old town). We stayed at a prestige room, good size, comfortable and very quiet at night. Nice view from the window. Dinner is always a pleasure at the restaurant of the hotel (the tables are on the street and they even have live music). Great atmosphere. Very nice staff. Parking available in front of the hotel entrance with reasonable price.

We thought that the hotel was ideally situated, quiet but close to the centre of town and all the restaurants and shops of the Old Town. Subsidised secure parking. The staff were friendly and approachable.. Highly professional attitude. Very comfortable family room and excellent breakfast..

For a nice looking hotel in a good area.....Strobing light bulb not changed, toilet paper not replenished and not vacuumed after first night, WiFi poor, only plastic cups, instant coffee. We were disappointed.

Big issue over returning park key. They need to please their customers instead of other way around. Breakfast truly awful. DON'T HAVE IT.
