This property was a wonderful surprise. The hotel itself is clean and very comfortable. No running out of hot water when showering. The location is beautiful. It is in a valley that is known for their oranges which feature in the hotel’s restaurant. The food at the restaurant highlights local specialities. Amazing food. Finally, the staff are very helpful and nice. I would not hesitate to return.

The apartment building for this hotel is separate from the main rooms and restaurant. That gives a feeling of independence, quiet and is more relaxing. Also the hotel swimming pool is just outside the apartment giving a 'villa' feeling which is great. Breakfast is included, which is a simple continental selection but more than adequate to start the day. The lunch and evening menu is good and varied with even our fussier child finding different things to eat.
The restaurant had constant roaming cats from the area. It wasn't clear if they were pets or wild but they were no bother and were kept out of the main building. This was not a big issue but was a surprise to us.
It was our issue that although as a family we can get by in many languages, Spanish is not one of them. If you have at least a passing knowledge of the language it will be easier as the staff are helpful and friendly but not strong in English (and shouldn't be expected to be!).
The location in El Valle was convenient for heading north to Granada or South to the coast but be aware that reaching the motorway is via a winding, picturesque road that gets a little narrow in places and the locals like to drive quite fast.
The local area is a 'sleepy village' with minimal amenities, so popping down the shops to get something for the fridge isn't an option. Something to plan in when out in the car.

We were here in the off season so the hotel was very quiet. For a rural hotel, this place cannot be beat. There is a bar/restaurant attached that many locals seemed to frequent and the morning views outside of the balcony and toward the orange fields absolutely cannot be beat.
