We had a lovely time at Blue - Inn on The Beach!!! My daughter and I stayed for one night. Everything was perfect in room #8. The size was just right. It was super clean, cozy, and quiet. Plenty of outlets for phones, computers, blow dryers, etc. We enjoyed our patio in the evening and moved inside by the fireplace when the chill in the air became too much. We woke to an amazing sunrise so quickly walked down the few steps to the beach and strolled for a few hours. Our only wish was to stay longer! We will be back!!! Note: There is no full length mirror in the room.

We had a great time and the room was beautiful- it was -6 degrees but the fire and some wine kept us cozy. Bed was comfortable. Love that they have a little kitchen and couch- You can not beat the view or access to the ocean outside of your door. We will go back in the nicer weather to get that walk on the beach.

I love Plum Island but lodging can be tricky. The really nice properties tend to be quite large and too big/costly for a couple with one child. The smaller places tend to be a bit dated and slightly ramshackle. We booked Blue-Inn despite it being exorbitantly expensive thinking we were splurging on the nicest property on Plum Island. The Inn is quite nice but nowhere near as spacious and private as the photos appear. Also Expedia does not clearly depict that some accommodations are across the street with no beach view so that was a big disappointment. We had 3 people (2 adults and our teen son) in our two bedroom cottage, but they only brought breakfast for two daily. We asked for more coffee on the first day and were told there was no more so had to run to a store and buy coffee. The worst was that they are not doing housekeeping so we had the same 3 towels for our 3 night stay. They are not staffed in the evening, and we were out and about so never saw anyone to ask for more. There was also no bedding whatsoever for the sofa sleeper. I would not even be writing the review because our stay was adequate and enjoyable except for the fact that the rates were outrageous for what we received. Even if it had been half the price, I think I would not have felt that we got a good value. The nightly rates are outrageously high and value juts not there. Compared to the outstanding customer service and welcoming vibe at our hotel in Boston's North End, this property was disappointing.

We were looking for a special place to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, and Blue's Lark Suite was perfect. The views are beyond breathtaking, and the room is gorgeous and clean--you never want to leave this suite! Felt like our own private oasis. (Pictures don't do it justice!) Also, the delivery of breakfast left outside our door each morning was wonderful treat to wake up (and so delicious!). The staff couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. Plum Island is a very cute private community -- definitely perfect if you want to escape the crowds. Blue is close to the few (adorable) shops and food options where you can walk or ride complimentary bike to (including adorable liquor store), so you never have to leave Plum Island -- and Newburyport is extremely close if you want to venture out into town. We're definitely planning to come back again!

The room was very clean and the amenities- Apple TV, fireplace, sliding glass door/deck to an absolutely beautiful ocean view were spot on for this quick getaway! A great beach vacation!

Beautiful location right on the beach. Room had a nice beach cottage feel, but the cleanliness of the room did not meet expectations. The sleeper sofa was full of sand from previous guests. Housekeeping did not clean at all after our first night. Cleanliness aside, the noise level from the guests above us as and lack of privacy from the guests alongside would prevent me from returning. Two nights on the beach should have been restful but I returned home exhausted.

This was a lovely stay. It's hard to judge friendliness of hosts during Covid, though they responded whenever we had a question (via text). I think there are probably some maintenance updates that should be planned in the near term, but the location is wonderful.

Cheap over-rated motel remodeled by low budget property owners in an attempt to be upscale. Had to lump my bags up 2 flights of stairs. 1 staff on hand in a closet reception area. Filthy hot tub. Poorly furnished room. No ice machine, room service, phone didn't connect to office. TV was locked out from previous guest. Amateurish installation of TV and appliances, radio remote didn't work. Went to check in and had to return an hour later when they opened, and park down the street. no Valet parking. Unsanitary "breakfast' basket.

Tastefully decorated room. Miranda at the front desk was very helpful despite having to deal with the aftermath of a severe store.

Always a great stay with ocean right at your door. They always bring you a nice breakfast and everyone is very nice.

A last minute Valentines weekend excursion, we were lucky to secure a room and had a wonderful time! The personal touch, like the Valentines card and chocolate dipped strawberries waiting for us, was so nice!! And, a breakfast basket left outside our door in the morning...who does that?! We loved having the beach at our doorstep and the fire pit, hot tub, and so much more!! We are booking for another stay soon!

Lovely accommodations at a beautiful beachfront Inn on Plum Island. Extremely comfortable bed, bedding and pillows! Deep Jacuzzi tub large enough for 2! Amazing views in the corner King room. Serenity enhanced with the in room fireplace, sound of the crashing ocean waves from the sliding glass windows. Very happy with our visit! Highly recommended!

Right on the ocean and a short drive to Newburyport and the wildlife refuge.

The hotel is right on the ocean, steps from your suite...it is quiet and located on plum island near Newburyport mass. .....the suites are perfectly positioned so you have total privacy if you want it. The service is perfect , plenty of parking, the views are amazing...Newburyport is just minutes away, with many great shops and restaurants.
