My stay was wonderful with the exception of cleaning crew. When asked about cleaning my room, I was told it’s not her room to clean. On the other hand, the day receptionist was very helpful. She was knowledgeable of the city’s various attractions and very accommodating to our needs.

I booked a one bedroom suite (for more money than a standard room). Upon arrival, they told me that they were out of one bedroom suites and put me in a standard room. I asked for a refund for the difference in price but the manager wasn’t there to approve it. The manager later declined to refund the difference. Obviously the manager is a doofus and has zero business etiquette or morals. Oh well. Learn from my experience and don’t book in advance if you’re booking anything more expensive than a standard room (the cheapest option).

Did not like check in as we waited several minutes without anyone at the front desk. Even called the hotel phone and let it ring and ring. Still no one. Then my friend went into a back office and found a gentleman who said he’d look for the front desk girl. All that’s bad enough but when she came to the front desk she practically called us liars because there was no way we waited that long. She should have apologized for the wait instead of calling us liars.

Staff was friendly the key card system was down upon checking in and when you book through someone else the price seems to always change. There was mold visible in the crevice of bathroom other than that the room was well kept. Dogs were barking on the floor I was on.

This hotel feels worn down. Carpet and furnishings seem like they should have been replaced some time ago. Overall the hotel was decent. It was clean and quiet and everything worked as it should — it just felt a bit worn out. Breakfast was also disappointing — the only fruit was apples and they were old and mealy. Would not choose this hotel again.

The employees were amazing, very friendly. The cleanliness was not great. The room was “clean” to a quick eye, but needing dusting, the walls need wiping, all the surfaces needed a good wipe down. It wasn’t a horrible room but definitely not amazing either.

Seemed like the refuse trucks came every other morning around 5 am. Picking up the big dumpsters, then beep, beep, beeping as they backed up and grabbed the next one.

We love staying at the Home2Suites. It is our regular place to stay on any vacation. This one needed a little attention. The bathroom light was broken, but maintenance fixed it immediately. I had someone texting me regularly to see how our stay was. That was a great feeling knowing someone was on call for our needs. The sofa bed needs a new mattress. Overall, we had a great stay.

Good location within walking distance of beach. Room was a bit dated, but clean. Biggest issue was an incredibly loud air conditioning unit; it was obviously old and in need of repair, and it kept us from sleeping well. It was also annoying that we had to pay extra for parking at the hotel. Probably won’t return to this location.

I didn’t get to hotel until 5-6 AM. Called front desk time I was going to get there. They checked in for me and held both rooms keys. She was nice I forgot her name. Rooms were nicely clean.

Stayed 3 nights and not once my room was cleaned because they said due to low staff they only do room service every third day, when I checked in the rude lady at front desk just handed me the key didn’t tell me what room floor or breakfast info and hours

Property was nice. The pool however wasn’t so great! There was a HUGE whole about 14” round in circle and 2” deep in the pool! There was fragments of the pieces maybe about 10 pieces outside the entrance of the steps of the pool, which if anyone steps on will cut their foot. Toilet stop working in our room for one night we had to go downstairs from the 3rd floor to use the bathroom all night until the next morning when maintenance came and repaired it, other than that the stay was good. Lots of dogs in the hotel, wish I had known my husband is scared of dogs and our Grandaughter is allergic to both cats and dogs. But the stay was nice.

First day was pretty bad… when looking at affordable but not Motel 6 hotels I saw this Hilton was recently new so my expectations were high for those two reasons. Upon checking into room the floors were very dirty to include some type of green goo melted on the floor near one of the beds. It was apparent these floors weren’t even vacuumed and needed a really good shampoo. The next thing was finding a Cheeto in the bed covers. Yes I sad it so it was apparent they didn’t swap out the sheets. They requested a new room immediately and the clerk at the front was not very friendly and acting like it wasn’t a big deal. After this our new room was better. I was still disappointed with the overall condition/cleanliness of the hotel. Food was good ,pool was good, location was great.

We found somebodies close in our room and to put that at side overall cleaniees of the place wasn’t that bad . Breakfast should have more options . Pool should be renovated pieces of concrete are chipping off . At front desk they told us that for entire stay of 4-5 nights they can’t send cleaning person to clean the room … good luck on that one that is totally unexpected and intolerable , most stuff is very nice but several of front desk ladies they like to say NO a lot for any question or any request made by gusts. I work with people for 30 years and I LIKE TO SAY YES , LET ME SEE WHAT I CAN DO FOR YOU, LET ME HELP YOU . For those who like to say no a lot they really shouldn't be working in this kind of business or in any business with people for that matter .

Home2 Suites in Destin was great!! We enjoyed our stay this past week. The hotel is within walking distance of the public beach access point down the road and a few restaurants. The pool and patio areas were well kept and clean. The only negative thing we experienced was not getting our room cleaned when requested for the following day (policy was to request at least a day in advance). A week is a long time to have three children and food crumbs and no room cleaning.
