The hotel is very quaint. We never really spoke to anybody. We were given codes to the doors to check in. The room itself was nice. Bed was comfy. Found a few nuts on the floor. I slept horribly though because the room was so hot, even with the radiator turned to 0. I could hear the guy next door snoring and the pipes make a horrible clanking noise all night long.

Great place to stay if your in the area. Very unique old school feeling. The bar and food downstairs was pretty good and don’t mind the hotels mascot Copenhagen he’s one of the friendliest dogs you will meet.

Great alternative lodging option for trip to crowded Cripple Creek. Great communication with owners, comfy bed, but limited food in area.

The hotel was fine. It feels like you are in a land that time forgot. I appreciated the historic qualities but my young daughter didn’t feel comfortable there so we didn’t stay at the hotel. We left.

This is a nice cozy hotel that we'd like to back to.

Great place, would come back and stay again

The property is nice, clean and filled with nostalgia, we checked in and checked out via text and only saw one staff member during our stay. She was the bartender, wait staff and cook. There was no one on hand, after the one staff member went home, available during the night. We were texted a code to enter the hotel after hours and also a code to enter our room. We also struggled with the light controls. There were no instructions on how to operate them.

MANAGEMENT WAS BRILLIANT, HELPFUL, OUTGOING, CHEERFUL. VIOLET WENT OUT OF HER WAY TO ASSURE MY VISIT WAS ENJOYABLE. UNFORTUNATELY, AN ILLNESS ON MY PART MEANT I WAS UNABLE TO MAKE THE TRIP. HENCEFORTH, I CANNOT REVIEW PAST THE OUTSTANDING EFFORT PUT FORTH TO ACCOMODATE ME IN EVERY WAY.

For an old mining town what can you expect, and this is a historical hotel. The rooms have been updated as much as possible, but the mirror in the room was mounted so that a short person can barely see in it to get ready. You need a step stool. No iron in the room.
They are doing the best they can I guess.

It is a charming hotel that we like very much. But the toilet stuck on and had to be opened up and fiddled with every time it was used. And the worst was the steam heat clanking. All night was very very bad. Other than that it’s a lovely room and a great hotel, food at the restaurant was very limited, missed out on the good cooking

This was the first time on the area for me and what a diamond in the rough. A very historical area on the comeback. The hotel was a wonderful blend of the old and new with all the comforts. Great place to stay in the middle of an adventure.

Erratic room temperature & light bedding.

Loved this hotel with its history and old charm. We stayed here and made the short trip to Cripple Creek to dine and gamble. The restaurant here was unfortunately not open for breakfast.

Very nice

Room wasn’t ready but the staff took care of it quickly. People upstairs walked around all night.

The hotel brings the challenges and rewards of a building that is more than 120 years old. The rooms on the top floor with the extra high ceiling are more impressive.

We love the history of the town and hotel, we didn’t take into account for the bar noise below us and that’s our fault, we should have researched a little better, and rattling pipes, running toilet, all night, probably just old building.. Normally we just roll with whatever.. we had just traveled long distance and we’re pretty wore out..

The hotel is absolutely gorgeous! The building is over 150 years old, but it has been beautifully maintained. I felt like I was staying in an old hotel in Europe. It has self check in and out. I was pleasantly surprised!

Beautiful hotel and room, everyone is so friendly and hospitable.

Our room was great. I loved the brick walls. The bed was comfortable and we had everything we needed.

A really nice, charming, wonderful, restored historic hotel! I was very, very pleased with my stay here, and that I chose the Victor Hotel. The room, lobby/lounge area, the elevator(!!!) all were just perfect. Very comfortable and lovely room.

It was amazing. Love the history. Love the building. Love the check in and out process. So easy.

Neat hotel with cool elevator. Short staffed like everything these days but were very nice to help with TV issue

Very, very comfortable and quite cute. It is a very old hotel that has been updated with modern conveniences while maintaining the old world charm. The elevator is 150 years old but operates very well and is also quite charming.

Self check in was simple and easy.
The lady in restaurant was kinda rude when we asked if they were still serving dinner. Not sure restaurant was affiliated with hotel but both in same building.
The room was really cute and nicely decorated. I will stay there again but find a different restaurant.
Well I hate to have to change my review but after last night.
First off the Victor Hotel failed to tell me they had rented the lobby and restaurant on Saturday. The lobby and restaurant was closed to public. It would have been nice if they would have told me that we would have to enter the hotel through the side door and not have access to the restaurant when I booked.
Secondly the group that had rented was loud and smoked Marijuana until after 3am.
Being a quaint hotel there was no AC (totally understandable) and opened windows are the only cooling. With the obnoxiously loud noise and clouds of pot smoke filling our room we were forced to close the windows, this made the room unbearably hot and miserable.
I really wanted to love this hotel but if they are going to allow this type of behavior I won't be staying there again.
I sent a text message to the the Victor Hotel Management and explained the situation with no response.

The room was excellent for the most part (could hardly see out of the dirty windows). The refurbishing of the historic room was well done. The lobby floor however looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months (dirt and cobwebs along baseboards) as well as the entry (overflowing trash can). Staff interacted by text which I had no problem with. I can only imagine the lack of cleanliness is due to lack of help.

The Victor Hotel was exactly what we were looking for. We loved how they’ve kept the hotel like it was back in the day but still has modern touches to it. We will absolutely be back!

The restaurant/bar next door was so gross we left that run down town

I stayed here to be out and away from the big city. There is not a lot of "options" out here and that was fine with me. I thought the restaurant to the hotel may open at some point. I stayed two nights. It never did. To be fair, I did not do grand homework to stay here. I showed up. I loved it. I was very comfortable. It was clean and a beautiful view and I hardly ran into anyone. I checked in to a text message on the phone one and out to a text message on the phone. If I needed someone I could get on my phone and get them. I had never done that in my life. Sign of the times? A fantastic escape and I am very grateful to those that keep these treasures alive for those of us to get away too. Thank you Victor Hotel.

I do not recommend this property. You do not see anyone, you communicate through text. Our room was not vacuumed and the refrigerator wasn’t clean. Trash and two pills were left on the floor. The bar is not well kept and filled with nothing but loud locals. There is absolutely nothing to do inVictor because almost all the shops are closed.

I enjoy history and this property did not disappoint. Keep in mind this property has no air conditioner which did make the day time hours in the room a bit warm for me and I live in Texas. After about 7 pm it cooled off and the higher evaluation of 9669 ft allowed for a pleasant stay. I loved the room and the restaurant and bar. Very authentic. Overall great stay, worth the trip.

The hotel was very charming and cleanliness wasn't an issue. No AC and we never seen an employee while we were there but neither of those were an issue for our stay.

The only thing left in this town is the hotel. Every other business is closed. There’s nothing to do in Victor anymore.

The hotel is great! The rooms are spacious and well appointed but the town of Victor is struggling. We enjoyed breakfast at the bakery and dinner at the Side Door Saloon. The Vindicator Loop Trail hike was very cool.

the old feel is amazing!
No dinner options real close.

The room was quaint, comfortable and lovely. The staff went out of their way to make us feel like a part of the hotel family. Violet, Cindy and Brandi were wonderful!

The room was dirty
