The Victor Hotel

No fuss check in - comfortable beds, sheets - bakery with in walking distance- parking easy - elevator worked - I would return!

The Victor Hotel maintains its previous glory with its cage elevator and nicely and comfortably restored rooms. No A/C.. which could be a challenge in the summer? but early fall was just fine. This is a place for a unique experience.. not the usual modern hotel chain offerings.. Victor is an authentic old mining town with lots of character. Close enough to access the tourist attractions of Cripple Creek if desired. Restaurant choices are limited.. the Pizza across the street was excellent and the Gold Camp Bakery was well worth waiting for newly baked treats in the morning..

More businesses in town to be open in off season but that is the nature of a small mining town...

All good

Cool old hotel but room was not cleaned when we got there. They did move us to a different room but it was difficult to get a hold of somebody since they do not have a desk clerk. The gal in the bar was helpful.

We were moved to a different room because the one assigned was dirty but I could not get any response via text or phone to get a new code to access the room.
