We visited frim out of state for the first time. We stayed in the lodge. You can tell they are older buildings but kept very clean. Our room was very roomy and comfortable. It would be nice to have a little mini fridge to keep cold drinks or left overs from the restaurant but otherwise it was a good stay.

Needed a place to stay when buying a new truck from a local place. Being from CT and not knowing the area, we found this place was really close to the truck sales place, and very reasonably priced! We were very pleased to see how clean and well kept the rooms and property was. The breakfast was great too. We would have loved to explore the park more if we had more time. If we are ever back in the area, this is definitely the place we will stay at!! Thank you for a great stay making it an acceptional trip!

Make no mistake, this isn't for everyone. It's old with lots of bugs but for some people, the amenities will make up for that. Beautiful area with a balcony looking out over a lake with a pool, golf course, trails and horses. Facility could stand to be updated and needs a refrigerator in the rooms but you can't beat all the extras if you enjoy the outdoors. Bring or buy a citronella candle and enjoy.

I cannot say enough good things about the staff: friendly, welcoming, and incredibly overworked. They did everything possible to make our stay comfortable. We spent some time at the bar and discovered some serious stock shortages. They were out of several popular beers, and no ginger ale. But the live music was enjoyable and again, the staff hustled nonstop. The lodge is showing its age. Water pressure in the bathroom was a trickle, forcing us to brush our teeth in the tub. The bathroom and balcony doors were out of square and wouldn’t close. Despite some quirks, we truly enjoyed our visit. It’s beautiful, quiet, peaceful and staffed by great folks.

At first glance, this park is outstanding, but first impressions are deceiving. Staff was very friendly and helpful, room was clean except for the balcony. The view of the lake is excellent, but.......we encountered loud people outside our door until way past 11pm, the motion sensor light in the bath turned itself off when my wife was taking a shower, the cook for the dinner meal quit before the meal, shutting down the meal and restaurant,..but maybe you will get lucky if you stay .

The villa was beautiful, quiet, and clean. The property seems very well maintained. The breakfast that was included was not nearly as good as the other two Kentucky state resort parks we've stayed at, but at least it did have some hot breakfast.

The room was clean but the bathroom, dressing area and foyer floor was dirty. In fact when we opened the door there was a dead bug laying inside the entrance. Toilets, sink and tub were all clean. It may have just been forgotten.

Booked a 2 night stay/fishing adventure. Had drinks at the lounge the first night and our bartender was top notch. He kept an eye out and was right there ready to refill as needed. Had the breakfast buffet before leaving the next morning and it was good.

It was outdated, the staff was helpful but we got no towels or wash cloths when we left them where we supposed to and had to go to the office and get some late that night

We stayed at the lodge and although it’s old it was comfortable. The area has a golf course right there and some really nice walking and bike paths. The restaurant on site has something for everyone. We’ll definitely be going back.

We had a great time. All staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Next trip we will take our dog. Hopefully very soon. Awesome place to relax and recharge. Cant wait to go back. Highly recommend this beautiful state park.

Nice lodge. Very friendly staff. Comfortable mattress. Needs some updating, but overall clean. We had a pretty view of the lake from our room. Reasonably priced.

Room was clean besides some dried bugs on floor but we were on the first floor. Nice balcony and river view. Very friendly staff. Property was distant from food stops. About 30 minute drive to Mammoth Cave.

We stayed in one of the cottages. Everyone was very friendly. Property was spotless and grounds were beautiful and very well kept, Cottage's furnishings and appliances are old and worn. Ice maker didn't work, toaster only toasted one side of bread (great for bagels) but no real deal breakers. Restaurant was only open Thursday through Sunday for carryout only Don't know if that was because of Covid or staffing. Lot of other restaurants in the area were closed as well.

What a great value. Beautiful, rustic property. Super friendly, attentive staff. Nice pool and swim beach. Good country cooking in the restaurant. Marina and boat ramp within park. Overall just a great time. Planning on going back in the fall and bringing my boat. This place is also just 1/2 hour or so from Mammoth Cave National Park.
