Nestled in Barren River Lake, this attractive house for $400 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. This stunning lakefront log cabin, located in one of the best areas on Barren River Lake, makes for a wonderful vacation rental home. Mammoth Cave National Park and the General Motors Corvette Museum are only 30 minutes away. It offers the perfect retreat experience with lake views, five bedrooms, and four and a half baths. A bonus loft area is on the second story. The eat-in kitchen features granite countertops and all stainless steel appliances, including a warmer. A large main floor deck & lower level patio overlook the lake and are perfect for entertaining. The cozy living space is highlighted by a large stone gas fireplace and large windows for viewing the outdoors. The master suite on the main floor and second floor both offer plenty of privacy and comfort. The lower level walkout basement area includes a bedroom with a full bath and a game room with a pool table, ping pong table, foosball table, and a hot tub located steps outside the basement door. This house was perfect for our family getaway. The game room downstairs kept the kids busy, the kitchen was great for preparing meals, and the beds were so comfy. Even though it was cold outside we enjoyed this house, I'm sure it's even more fun in the summer!

This cabin is such a terrific find! Our family takes a trip every New Year to a different location and this one definitely did not disappoint! There were 8 adults in our group and 2 littles under 4 and there was more than enough space for all of us. There are 2 living room spaces, one upstairs and one down on the main level so plently of places for a large group to spread out. The kitchen was one of the best stocked kitchens we’ve encountered. There were pots large enough for soups and anything in between, cutting boards, strainers, baking sheets, all the things. They even have a crockpot and a Keurig as well as a traditional coffee maker. As a group that enjoys cooking together on trips this kitchen was wonderful! The scenery of the location was beautiful and it was a perfect middle ground for many attractions so we found something to do almost everyday and for the days we stayed in, the pool table, ping pong, and foosball tables kept us entertained. They even have board games and books for children available to enjoy. Communication with the owners was excellent and prompt as well. The only thing that we would recommend to make this cabin even better, would be direct access to the lake from the property. Overall we loved the week we spent here and look forward to returning hopefully during the summer.

Our immediate family takes a long weekend trip every December to celebrate our mother’s birthday. This place was amazing! The game room was a big hit but would be great if the lower level had a couch to lounge on. The house has an incredible view and open floor plan creating great gathering area for the family to hang out.
We played a big game of family bingo which we have never done but will be making a new tradition of. The house was pet friendly so our fur family was able to enjoy the get away as well!
I would HIGHLY recommend this cabin.

My family traveled over 900 miles from Stuart, Florida for a four night stay at the Cozy Cabin. We are originally from Glasgow, Kentucky, and came back to the area for a family reunion in Gallatin, Tennessee. The location of the cabin in Scottsville was a perfect "in-between" spot, and we could not have found a better place to stay.
There are not enough superlatives to describe both the cabin and our experience there, but I will try.
Fabulous, spacious, relaxing, well-equipped, beautifully maintained, attention to detail...all of these perfectly describe the Cozy Cabin. From the thick, fluffy bath towels and an endless supply of hot water with plenty of water pressure, to the comfortable beds and linens, it felt like an upscale hotel, but without the confines of a hotel.
And the kitchen! O.M.G. I am a baker, and I appreciate a well-appointed kitchen. We hosted a Sunday brunch on the last day of our stay and the kitchen gathering area at the bar was perfect! A six-burner gas oven, complete with a separate warmer drawer made entertaining a large group a breeze.
Entertainment? The downstairs garage area has been converted into a play area for all ages with ping pong, pool, and foosball. The hot tub on an outside deck was clean and set up ready-to-go from the moment we arrived. And get this: there is even a full bedroom and en suite bathroom down there.
Finally, of course, there's the views of the lake from just about every room. This was our best vacation EVER!

We had a great time at the Cozy Cabin for our family trip.
The house was spacious and large enough for our whole group of 7 adults and 2 kids (the many bathrooms was appreciated), and the game room in the basement was definitely utilized.
It does take a bit of a drive to get to many of the nearby attractions (20-40 min) and we found quite a few things were closed during the week, but since our main goal was family time at the house, we didn’t have an issue with it.
There were a few things that could use a bit of a deeper clean and they may want to have the cleaning crew check under beds and couches, but there was nothing egregious. There are also some things that are well worn, but it is evident that the owners are doing updates/upgrades to things, so I imagine this will only improve with time.
There is plenty of furniture (inside and outside) and things to do, and the kitchen is well stocked for cooking, so it makes for a great gathering spot.
Overall, we had a very positive experience and we would recommend this location and consider it again if traveling to this area in the future!

Had a good experience overall. Host was very attentive to a couple hiccups we had during our stay, which was a big help. Place has plenty of areas for kids and parents to have their own space when needed, and large group areas for everyone to be together. Kids loved the game room area, while parents enjoyed the open living room/kitchen areas. We were able to have 6 kids eating at the island at the same time while the 6 adults had room to spare at the dining table. We had 3 familys of 4 and the house accommodated our needs perfectly. Plenty of outdoor type activities all within 10-15 minute drive.

This was a perfect location for our multi-generational family get-together. The layout of the house (bedrooms, large kitchen and dining room, large decks, and multiple family rooms), game room, hot tub, and proximity to the Barron River Lake, were fabulous for our gathering. It also allowed for easy access to Mammoth Cave, Nashville, the Corvette Museum, and Bourbon Country. The property is well-worn and has new owners, who I'm sure will resolve the list of maintenance issues we encountered.

Large family there's enough room for everyone, the game room was definitely a plus. Going down to the lake was impossible definitely only for the brave. Was a little bit of a drive of 30 minutes plus to most attractions like mammoth cave or other attractions but there's alot of parks and outside things to do close by. Definitely a nice place to stay.

The Cozy Cabin had everything we needed for our family to enjoy time together while away from Home. Your kitchen is well stocked with everything we needed to cook, bake, and brew a morning cup of coffee to start each day of our Kentucky adventure week. The outside grill and deck provided us with a great gathering place to enjoy grilled meals with drinks and enjoy the relaxing lake view.

My group of 7 thoroughly enjoyed this house. It was just as described on line - very roomy, open with a large deck facing the lake and a nice game room. Comfortable for all. We used the gas grill on the deck and had plenty of room on the kitchen island to cook our meals. We rented a pontoon at the marina at the state park and our experience there was extremely positive. We also took a tour at Crystal Onyx cave and liked that. The local Dollar General Store was surprisingly well stocked for items we needed. Having the sitting area on the second floor was a real bonus for us. Highly recommend this house especially for a large group. Jean was very attentive and responsive to my questions. We would definitely rent this house again.

My mother-in-law's family had a reunion at Baron river state park period my husband's immediate family which consists of 10 adults and one child at age 12 period we all had a comfortable stay at this home. The home is tastefully decorated with each room having its own unique charm. The large windows provide a breathtaking view of the Barren River Lake. With its large living area, you can go just about anywhere to either be a part of a game downstairs, some quiet reflection on its large patio or any other location in the home. The kitchen is more than stocked with all of our needs, and then some.
From the layout of the home, to the location, and proximity of activities, this home is perfect for anyone wanting to get away and either enjoy the sounds of nature throughout the day, the lake breeze rustling through the trees, and the amazing views and that's all upstairs! Sunsets over the lake were absolutely stunning!
Downstairs you are able to enjoy the sounds of ping pong, a friendly game of pool or foosball or any of the other available games provided.
The owner was OUTSTANDING, in replying to any questions or comments, literally within a minute or two max.
Highly recommend this property! We will definitely keep it in mind if we're in the area again.

Ron is so easy to work with. He always got back to me before our stay, answering questions within minutes. Once we arrived, everything was perfect. Our Grandchildren loved the game room and the hot tub. The fire pit was a great place to sit around and talk nonstop. Our family celebration was so enjoyable and a memory we will share for a lifetime. The view of Barren River was just beautiful. So nice to sit on the deck and take it all in.
