Exceptionally clean. Large king bed room. Kind staff. As an older-small-town-style motel, I loved it. Well cared for property.

The rooms were ok but need more handi cap bars. The parking lot had large pot holes which this was issue for our low cars. Otherwise it was quiet. We walked to restaurant.

Conveniently located next to restaurant. Quiet, clean, dated but fits our needs for a comfortable night’s sleep

The manager was friendly however the property is extremely run down. The parking lot is falling apart, there are weeds everywhere. Inside the room there was an intense musty smell and it was visibly dirty. The door on the bathroom had what looked like poop splatters on it. The sheets were dirty and had quite a bit of dark hair on them. The shampoo bottles appeared to have toothpaste spit residue on them, thet were sticky, and they were displayed sloppily. We could feel the springs in the mattress. We had brought our own mattress topper so we decided that we could stay one night since we arrived to late to find another option. We were dupposed to stay a second day but cut our stay short and left Challis early because this hotel was so gross. I believe we paid $85 a night and even at that small amount, we seriously over paid. I felt contaminated every minute that i was in this room, it was just so dingy and gross. I tried to upload pictures of all of these things that I mentioned but it would let me.

Old, old, old with little maintenance. Wood paneling walls from the 60’s and carpet that must be 20 years old. However the worst thing was the smell which was enough to gag. We carry air freshener which used in abundance, which did little to help. Anything me that rates it more than 1 or maybe even a 2 is completely delusional.

Honestly, I would stay here again, i’m traveling for work and only had one night there, but I was able to get the rest I needed and had a great place to eat right around the corner

The only reason I did not give five stars for the condition is as you can imagine this is an old established property that's been in business in a small mountain community for many years. They simply don't have the resources to update and remodel like some of the fancier big name chains. If the Hilton is what you are expecting when you come to Challis, well than better you just stay home in the city. This place was just fine for me! Clean, quiet, and comfortable along with owners who are extremely friendly and helpful.
