My stay at Birdcage Resort was wonderful and exceeded my expectations. My holiday started with a slight hiccup due to a miscommunication with the airport transfer service, and a similar issue occurred on my return. However, Tom quickly arranged a taxi and reimbursed the fare I'd already paid, which was greatly appreciated.
The airport is on the northern side of Gran Canaria, while the resort is located in the south near Playa del Inglés. The 20-minute taxi journey was well worth it, saving time and stress compared to travelling by bus. From arrival, the atmosphere was peaceful and welcoming. The staff were attentive throughout my stay, especially Ralph, who was always friendly and helpful. The resort is short walk from the Yumbo Centre, making shops, restaurants, bars and entertainment easily accessible. The bungalow-style rooms were comfortable, air-conditioned and well equipped. Breakfast offered an array of continental options. The pool area was spotless, perfect for relaxing, with food and drinks delivered directly to your sunbed. I also appreciated that the resort is clothes-optional around the pool. The atmosphere was relaxed, respectful and welcoming, promoting body positivity and acceptance without any pressure on guests. The holiday was made special by the people. I met some wonderful guests, many of whom return year after year. Birdcage combines excellent service, comfort, security and a fantastic location. I would happily stay again, highly recommend.
