We travelled as a couple and enjoyed a 4 night stay at Dwight Inn and it was perfect! Cozy, comfortable, warm, and convenient. Dan made checking in so easy and gave us great recommendations for things to do in the area. We went in November so the property perhaps wasn’t as put together as it would normally be, but the room was clean, tidy, and cute. We were provided everything we needed in the kitchen (pan, pots, portable burner, plates, cutlery, toaster, coffee maker, mini fridge), except a kettle. We just made hot chocolate the old fashioned way!
The location is perfect for a short drive into Huntsville for any essentials, or heading into nature for a hike or a trip around Muskoka and Algonquin. It’s also within east walking distance of Dwight Beach for a spectacular view and gorgeous pier!
The only thing I would recommend for the room would be a chain lock on the door. As sure as I am that the area is safe and the property is trustworthy, I personally would prefer the added security instead of relying on a key lock alone.
Regardless of that, I highly recommend it!

Riverside Inn staff and accommodations make your stay feel like home. That is where the comfort lies. Friendly, calm, supportive staff welcome you to the Inn and are there to be sure your stay is comfortable. It is clean and simple in a lovely setting. Just right for a good night's sleep.

I booked the hotel last minute and wasn’t expecting much from it because the pictures weren’t great but I was surprised by the place. They have really nice tents which I did not book because in pictures they were not looking great but next time for sure. My recommendation would to have better pictures online.

Beautiful property, very well maintained. We had a great time. Loved barbequing, sitting around the campfire, early morning walk to the river. Will visit again. Thank you Dan!

The tent was great and v dreamy and evocative. Loved the sound of the falls in the background once traffic died down. Found it expensivw but was grateful to get a place at such a busy time.

On a very rainy, cold weekend this motel was just right! The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom had just been refurbished and was super. The room was warm and clean. Just what we needed on a less than ideal fall weekend.

Dan, the owner is very friendly and accommodating. We had everything we needed without asking, and a comfy clean bed to sleep in. The atmosphere is very welcoming and relaxing. We had a great stay!

Extremely convenient location close to Algonquin park. The suites are clean but does smell slightly mouldy and the mattresses probably needs changing soon, no support left. The owner Dan is super nice. It was our second year at the property and would go back again!

A lovely place to stay with all the amenities needed for a long weekend away. The property is a short drive outside of Huntsville and Algonquin Park, providing us with a perfect balance of small town convenience and nature’s awe. Dan- our host- was particularly helpful in accommodating our needs and does what he can to ensure guests have a peaceful stay. The kind of business you want to support!

A very short walk takes you to some nice rapids. The evening campfire was very nice. And the owners are wonderful people.

Our room was not very clean in that there were spider webs all around the room, on the windows, baseboards, corners, ceilings, and anywhere there were holes there was a web. We saw two spiders walking across the carpet not good! The property advertised AC but it was a window unit with gaps that bugs were getting into the room. We didn’t get fresh towels day two & had cold showers day 2. The TV didn’t work. No river view! The bathroom was okay. Kitchenette counter hardly a counter! I won’t be going back!

We were very disappointed in the property - a very old, old motel that had been somewhat renovated. A number of extension cords were needed to feed the bedside lamps, and the microwave.
The entry door was badly chipped as was the bottom cupboard. We booked one night with Expedia and I made a mistake and booked the wrong night and then we booked the previous night direct. We stayed the first night and skipped the second - even though we paid for the second already. We told Dan, the owner we weren't coming back and hoping he would give us a bit of refund as he could resell it to someone else - as it was the long weekend.
One night was more than enough. It's just an old motel. The TV isn't connected to cable - so if you bring your HDMI cable you can connect to it - but it's the size of a normal desktop monitor. The futon was hard - it was ok for sitting on with enough pillows behind your back. We could hear the guys beside us talking at their normal voice and we could hear them easily through the walls - but they went to bed around 11 as we did and we didn't hear them. The place was clean enough. It could have used more lights, but then more extension cords would have been required.
it probably works well for some outdoor people - but somehow we were expecting more for the price.

Conveniently located between Algonquin Park and Huntsville. Place is clean and quiet. We stay each year the night before our canoe trip. Beds are comfortable and open area to sit out front including firepit.

After years of avoiding motels like the plague, we had no choice as our family camping trip to Algonquin park was getting dampered by a massive unexpected rain storm. We decided our best option was to stay in a Motel for the night and try heading to the park in the morning to set up in hopefully less soggy conditions. This was along route with no detour necessary and after reading reviews we decided to take a chance. We a were greeted by Dan upon arrival, he was really nice and welcoming. The room was super cute, had a rustic charm and best of all WAS CLEAN! The beds were comfortable and it had everything we needed for a short stay. I was so thankful to have found this cute little place not too far from the park. If we ever run into the same problem again, I know where we will go.

We arrived late and left very early so we didn’t use the outdoor facilities. Room was clean and comfortable.

The owner, Ron, was welcoming and informative about the area, where to go to eat, sites to see, shops etc.
Clean rustic rooms and grounds. Had one good night.

Dan was great and I loved that they were generous with supplies. Our room itself was quaint and we enjoyed the location.

There was an old smell. No restaurant there or even nearby. The room had several extension cords and one that was unsafe. There was no microwave and if a hair dryer was needed, the guy could bring his down from the house which was weird. There was a tv in the room but it was not plugged in and we realized there was nothing available for reception. We did plug it in but as expected it had NO channels. We tried contacting management but to no avail. It was unpleasant and we will not return. For what we got (double bed) it was very expensive.

I trust your site and confirm the prices for 2 nights almost $111 when I went there after 2 hours and half drove they told me this price is uncorrect ,I told them it's not my fault, it's your fault because you put this price and then they told me, can give you $125 plus tax for one night and for 2 nights they charge me $281 so I'm not satisfied

Last minute evening pit stop, stayed in one of the tents it was delightful. Lovely, helpful welcome, and when I was so blissed out that I forgot my headphones, they were very kind and called me to flag it. I dream of going back!

The place looks beautiful and it made the first impression very good.
My tent was very clean and it looked very romantic. However, it was extremely cold at night ( September 30th) and there was no hot water at night and in the morning (no shower for me). It was so cold that I was sleeping in my pants, sweater and socks.
So I complained in the morning that I was very cold and I didn't have a shower the night before and no shower in the morning. The owner apologized and assured me that he was going to fix the problem. The problem was not fixed so my husband called the owner to fixed the problem. We had the shower for 2 minutes and that was it. The room was less cold then the night before only because the night (October 1st) was warmer but it was still cold (the heater was working but you can feel the heat only when you put your hand very close to the heater). The next morning my husband didn't have a shower (at 7 am) and I had one, very short one at (9am). We rented a second tent for our electrician working in our cottage and he had the same problem (no shower and very cold tent) He was sleeping in a sleeping bag. The tent is not winterized, and there are gaps between the floor panes. The washroom was extremely cold. ( no heater in the washroom). The tent maybe good for the summer but is not properly heated for the fall. It was a waste of money for the services provided. Very, very disappointed.

We were there to see the fall colours and go hiking. The owner told us about a couple of great spots to go and it was fantastic. We had a great weekend.
