The 1st room air was 80 & not going down, 2nd room same problem, both on 2nd floor. “Reese” said that 2nd floor has had problems with air. Because I complained about my unpacking first room & then having to go up and down the elevator checking more rooms myself, they gave me a 3rd room for me to check myself, & that was 69 degrees with air working. This took forever to check 3 rooms on 3 floors, & unpacking 1st room & MOVING my large cart myself to a 3rd room. I was exhausted from driving 8 hrs in heavy HOLIDAY traffic, & moving rooms up & down the elevator. Additionally The phones in rooms did not work causing more stress.

Bed was very comfortable and sheets very soft. I woukd have given 5 stars if they would have provided ear plugs like some airport hotels. Freeway is very close and noisy.

Friendly staff. Overall clean. Pretty decent breakfast included. They do a $25 incidental charge I don’t agree with, that is supposed to be refunded after checkout.

We arrived late at night with no available luggage carts. The front staff didnt seem to care and told us she can't help that other guests keep the carts in their rooms. The room was disgusting. The mirror in the bathroom was rusted and the room had a foul smell. The fridge was squeaking all night so we had to unplug it. There were dogs barking at night. The best part of the stay was how kind and helpful the staff serving breakfast was. I would expect the food would have been better but they were very friendly and went above and beyond. The hotel over all wasnt impressive. The carpets need replaced and the whole room overall felt dirty and the bathroom was just horrible. The sink didn't drain. The paint was peeled off in spots on the walls. The room didnt have linen for the fold out sofa bed so we had to go down and request it. We reserved the room for a full family and the room was only stocked with 2 towels so we also had to make another trip down for that as well. We were exhausted by the time we arrived and were in town for a funeral and that is the only reason I didnt immediately complain and book at a new hotel. I will never stay at this one again.

We stayed for three nights and the property itself look like it was well kept. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Lorenzo who oversees the free breakfast area was phenomenal! Very friendly and helpful each morning. There were many hot and cold food item options which were all very tasty, with the exception of the automatic pancake maker. Our only complaint was the lighting in our room was extremely poor. even by turning on every single light available, the room was way too dark. It would also be helpful to have a reference guide to the TV channels.

We made this reservation at approximately 5pm cst through Expedia. We received a call from hotel at 8pm saying they were overbooked and could not accommodate our reservation/stay for the evening. Very disappointing!!!

We just stayed one night passing through town but it was clean and quiet. The room smelled a little like cigarette smoke but was a non-smoking facility? Shower was nice but would have liked more towels and thicker quality. We had 3 members in our party and only 2 towels provided. Breakfast was convenient and fresh.

Nice place to stay and staff was welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was much better than most we have experienced in other hotels. We would stop again if ever passing through Mt Vernon.

Our room was very clean we requested a second office chair for a zoom meeting and they brought us up a wonderful set of chairs we requested a late check out and they gave us that too and the breakfast is restaurant quality. The workers at the front desk are very kind and and we felt at home

The staff working serving breakfast was excellent! Absolutely the best breakfast experience my family has ever had at any hotel (and we travel a lot!) Only downside was the noise coming from the elevator or front door since we were a few rooms from the main entrance.

Amazing property! Everyone, and I do mean everyone was great. The person in charge of the breakfast buffet was the best. Helpful, considerate, & kind. He checked on me several times while I sat and enjoyed my coffee.

This is a new facility and in great shape. Parking is plentiful and well lit. It is quiet and a good place to stop for a night or extended trip to the area. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Nice hotel. The room we had was on the side that backed up to the freeway. Was a little noisy but we were tired so it wasn’t a bother. Beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was nice sized not too small. The breakfast they had was very good. The only thing was they ran out of fresh fruit early.

For some reason you are unable to control the temp in your room. The first room I was put in the air didn’t work at all. When I called the front desk she said she would try to reset it and if it didn’t work the evening shift would be able to fix it. Resetting didn’t work. I went to the front desk and asked they switch my room since it was still early. They switched me without a problem. In the second room I bumped the room air down to 65. It was working until I did this. I called down to the front desk and told them the air wasn’t working again. They then explained you can’t put the air below 68 or it’ll shut off. They reset it and it stayed at 70 degrees in the room which is ok but I would’ve like it a little cooler when I slept. I think it’s crazy you can’t control your own air or go below 70 degrees. This isn’t a cheap hotel….

Nice sized room. Lots of breakfast options. We were only passing through this trip but I can see myself staying for several days and being very comfortable here.
