Is a top hotel and a top experience. I had an early flight and was already happy if they would take my suitcase... but the room was ready so I took it without extra charge. Room is top. Staff also.

Our first room literally faced the demonstration at the Parliament and although this is not the hotel’s fault, given that we were staying 6 nights, allocating us a different room would have made sense. We moved after one totally sleepless night. The breakfast buffet is seriously overpriced as is the airport transfer. Service in the restaurant was surly. The bar and lounge area were not in use. Taps in the sink and shower turn the wrong way and the tap on the sink sprays water everywhere.

On December 18, 2023 I woke up around 10 pm and smelled fire. When I opened the hotel room door the hallway was blacked out with thick smoke. No alarm. No call. No knock on our door. I woke up my husband and we grabbed shoes. Luckily we got to the sidewalk and watched as emergency vehicles arrived and firefighters ran into the building. Police cordoned off the street. It was 32 degrees out and we were in our pajamas. No one from the hotel helped us as we shivered. The staff from the hotel and from the restaurant were all gathered in a small area laughing and not interacting with anyone or trying to find the guests who had been evacuated. There was no attempt to help us find shelter. I immediately called our trip insurance company who found us a new hotel room nearby. We were separated from all of our belongings. When we were finally able to retrieve our belongings, our room was still filled with black smoke and all of our clothing reeked. We could not wear it. When we asked for a refund for the night when we were nearly killed by smoke inhalation, the response from Expedia was "Unfortunately though, I just called the Shota@Rustaveli Boutique hotel to make the case for your refund. I pushed for flexibility, but since your booking was non-refundable and doesn’t allow any exceptions, they’re sticking with their policy and won’t issue a refund." No one from the hotel or from Expedia cared that there was no effort by the hotel staff to evacuate hotel guests, no evacuation plan.

Great hotell,beautiful relaxation room with bathtub, decent pool and friendly staff. Great location,fairly quiet. I would stay away from the resturant in the basement though. Ordered 2 chefs burgers, they came with boiled meat, horrible looking and tasteless. Thought ok, i will order a pizza peperoni, what can go wrong? The pizza came, and the meat was definatly not peperoni, but some imitation sausage that had not been together with the pizza in the oven,slapped on after the pizza was done...But overall a great hotell,will absolutely stay there again 👍

Nicely designed hotel in a quite location close to main sights and museums. Rooms are nicely decorated and spacious. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Only negative is that the breakfast is not included in the price of the hotel which is very a outdated concept.

The Shota@Rustaveli Boutique Hotel is a fantastic place to stay in Tbilisi. The staff was super friendly and helpful, the room was modern, spacious and well equipped. The breakfast was amazing! The location is also perfect....walkibg distance to most places in city. The only possible negative is the tredmill and bike in exercise room are old and fuction poorly.....with upgrade to gym cardi equipment it would be perfect hotel! Highly recommend!!!!

I rarely write bad reviews because I can generally find the good things in everything. So let me start with the good news: the hotel is in an excellent location, the room was spacious, and the front desk staff were generally nice. I'll list off the things that I was disappointed in, and you can decide whether it deserves the bad rating: 1) there is a hotel policy of only heat available November-April, and only air conditioning May-October. On our trip it was very hot during the last week of April and we could not use any fan for air movement (because it was heat). The only way to open the small exterior window was to climb up on an unsafe ledge. With the window open, the only air we got was from the smokers in the courtyard below. The front desk staff did not offer any help. 2) While the room was beautiful and spacious, it had many things that were non-functional, such as no towel hooks near the shower, and the shower took 5+ minutes to get any warm water. 3) When we arrived the toilet seat was broken - clearly the cleaning staff did not report this, or else they did not clean our toilet. The seat was not fixed the entire time were were there. While these are not huge issues, I had higher expectations from a highly-rated boutique hotel.

Ok hotel. Breakfast was quite expensive. Restaurant you can reach from outside. Don’t need to be staying at hotel. It was 40% less expensive to go there and eat when I paid. And they didn’t know I was staying at hotel. Ate the same. Stayed there for some days. Had clothes in cabins. It was so dirty I couldn’t use some of the clothes. And hotel did nothing to fix it. Or give me cheaper stay. Overall, stay at another hotel.

Excellent location in the city for us, walking distance to most of the central sights and museums. Quiet street, very clean and safe area. Front desk staff smiley, welcoming, efficient and helpful. Room was large, clean, fixtures and fittings all in good condition. The rainfall shower was the best I’ve ever had, dumping gallons of water superb! Breakfast in the basement cafe restaurant had an excellent selection, coffees made to order etc. We would stay here again.

Originally booked to stay only for 10 days but extended my stay with Shota 3 times..ended up staying for 30 days!! Amazing front staff. Super professional, friendly, personable, and so helpful. I would certainly stay here again. My only area of improvement recommended would be the cleaning staff. Consistency and thoroughness could be improved upon.

Location is great, room was clean and comfy, staff were friendly. Breakfast was below average. At check out I had to wait at the lobby for 10-15 minutes so the can inspect the room before I leave the property ( that was annoying) Overall positive experience.
