First and foremost the front desk staff, three young gentleman were absolutely fantastic! They were so helpful and kind, whenever a problem arose (which many did) they work quickly to try to get me a solution. They were the biggest positive about my stay. Location is safe and quiet, residential area near a stunning park.
My room smelled like mold when I checked in, I mentioned it to the front desk who had the cleaning staff try to fix it, but I think unfortunately it is from the carpeting (old and musky) so nothing helped.
The water was shut off twice, once for 8 hours and I just got back from sulphuric baths and wasn’t able to shower, wash my face, brush my teeth, etc for the whole night and am - which led me to miss my day trip. I flew 16 hours to get there, I was only there for 4.5 days and I lost an entire day because of this. The manager has horrible business sense and while I was told he would refund me for the night he changed his mind. This is supposed to be a nice hotel, the water is just shut off with no notice and the manager does nothing to accommodate, it’s very unfortunate. The second time it was fixed in 1-2 hours, but still hindered another morning of mine. Also, the doors don’t shut/lock properly so you have to physically slam them shut making it so loud - I was woken up by other guests slamming their doors at all hours. Also the location while pretty and safe was far from restaurants, since there was construction on the main road a block away (which they also didn’t inform guests of before there stay) so I didn’t want to walk 15-20min late at night after a long day to find food. Which led my to not eat dinner there for my entire stay.

The location was great. It wasn’t right in the busiest part of town, which I actually appreciated, but the main sights and central areas were still within an easy 15-minute walk. Breakfast wasn’t amazing, but it was perfectly adequate. The young man at the front desk was always polite, attentive, and helpful.
I felt that my room was on the smaller side. We had booked two rooms, as I was travelling with my teenage children. Their room was bright, comfortable, and a good size, but mine had no window and felt quite cramped. At times, there was also a slight smell of food, probably because the room was located directly above the downstairs kitchen.
It was fine for us since we spent most of the day out exploring, but I would have appreciated a larger room with a window.
I would also have appreciated having shower gel and body lotion in the bathroom. Providing only hand-wash, shampoo, and conditioner felt a little limited for a four-star hotel.

The location was good. The hotel in general was good and my room was clean and good for the money.
The breakfast was OK / average. The big issue with the hotel is that there is a central void connecting all floors. At 1 am there were children running round knocking on doors, young children crying relentlessly for their parents and the sound of parents partying in their rooms oblivious to the noise outside. The hotel staff should have controlled this situation a lot better. My friends and I were split over all of the floors and all were exposed to this. Thankfully, my second nights sleep was not interrupted.
