Convenient, comfortable stay in San Ignacio. We had a tricky time with a family member falling ill during our stay on a public holiday. Cesar and team helped find an additional room to help our circumstances as well as guide for a doctor available to help with meds. All very kind, helpful staff, thank you! Ps: lots of conveniently located electrical outlets also a big plus.

When rating hotels you have to keep in mind that everything is relative. The Maya Bella is not a resort. It is a conveniently located hotel in the center of town with convenient parking on the bottom level of the hotel and 24 hour front desk personnel. It's secure, convenient and comfortable.

Just the perfect sized place to enjoy quiet time right on the beach, with excellent staff and thoughtful touches throughout. Great value for a tourist resort area.

The parking garage was very, very tight for a larger vehicle. Coffee in morning was limited but good when it was available. Water was always available to fill your own water bottles. Bed was soft, room, clean, pool wonderful! Would stay again.

It’s the middle of town. Everything is right there. The pool and rooftop were nice at the end of the tours. The room was good. Ac, hot water. Nice, new, large.

The room looked immaculate, and the service was great, but our pillowcases smelled musky so either they were dirty or way too much detergent was used.

I had a spacious room on the second floor, booked 4 nights Sunday to Thursday end of March 2023. Burns avenue was not busy, very quiet, lots of restaurants were not open Sunday and Monday. Very easy to book excursions for Tikal and the Caves directly on Burns Avenue, I recommend booking with Sergio at Explore Inland Tours. Hotel is walking distance from Green Iguana Conservation Project, the chocolate workshop and Maya ruins Cahal Pech (to of the hill). Staff very friendly, pool is always clean and in good condition, great to relax after a hot day. Hotel provides pool towels at reception. Bed and pillows are comfortable, AC works like a charm. Safe area, loved it.

Lovely staff. Location was great. No fridge as promised, one of the lights was out due to electrical issue and the hotel could use an upgrade for the money. Nice to have the pool and parking, for sure!

Spacious room and soft bedding. The location cant be beat since it is right downtown. The only issue for me was the AC smelled like strong mildew when I turned it on, to the point I had to turn it off so I wouldnt get sick. I would recommend management schedule the AC unit filters and blowers to be cleaned. But other than that, it is a decent stay.

The staff at Maya Bella were so helpful in directing us to good local restaurants and sights close to the hotel. They also helped us connect with a local independent driver who was so helpful, upfront about expenses, and also arranged our sidetrip to Guatemala. The hotel itself is not fancy but took care of our needs quite well.

The property is in a great downtown area, however some upkeep and improvements are needed. The sink was clogged and blinds are needed for the windows as light passes through the curtains. I could also see into the property next door and suspect they could see into my room as well. I could also hear the occupants in the adjoining rooms.

I thought it was a great place. Simple but clean and comfortable. Very reasonably priced with and amazing location, right in the heart of San Ignacio. I'd be happy to go back again. They have parking in the back, and allowed us to use it, even after we checked out.

It is a 2 stars hotel, very poor maintenance, old mattress in the corridor, the room was without towels nor hangers, no wardrobe, absolutely overpriced 80 USD PER NIGHT. Only positive aspects it is downtown and has a free covered parking

The Maya Bella is right in the heart of town. Easy to get to everything. The evening energy on the streets can be a little carnival-like, in a good way, but at night it is quiet and relaxed. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the bright color scheme is welcoming. The roof “lounge” is a great place to kick back and watch the town wake up or wind down.
