As was stated in previous reviews, the hotel is nice, but very noisy- the walls are paper thin. We could hear the conversations of our neighbors, and when the exercise classes started it was very loud in our room. Our room was fine, and most importantly clean and comfortable. I was disappointed that there is no restaurant food service on Sat. Or Sun afternoons/evenings. There is no where in walking distance to eat, so this was disappointing

Beautiful place. Staff was friendly.

This was a happy surprise. Clean and comfortable attached to a giant state of the art health club so it has a great pool and other terrific amenities….no more staying in downtown Chicago for me!

My visit started with a stellar introduction to David, who greeted me by name as I approached the front desk. Don’t know how he knew my name but that was a very nice touch :-)
I loved this place in every way. I just wish I had time to do more of the fitness classes and yoga. The spa, steam room and sauna was a daily regime. And the outdoor pool was so nice and warm. Both the indoor and outdoor pools were fantastic! I’m home sick already. All staff were great and the spa team top notch. It was so great I extended my stay! I’ll be back.

What’s the location and facility staff at restaurant and check-in appeared to be very busy. Spa was amazing.

Great having such an amazing gym that hotel guests can use

I stayed here for 4 nights Aug 2023. The hotel and gym are in the same building with the entrance and elevators and very crowded with people coming to work out at all hours of the day and evenings. The whole building smells like sweat. The outdoor poor was highly crowded and full of kids to the extent that the water appeared cloudy. Each time I tried to swim (including early morning and end of the day when it was “adult time” I kept getting strands of hair wrapped around my fingers. It is the dirtiest pool I have ever personally experienced. The room itself was nice, no complaints. Staff interactions were either great or awful. On the day that I was checking out I had called downstairs requesting a late checkout because of being on a work call 11am-12pm (checkout time is 11am but can be extended to 2pm). After this I had 2 maids come into the room and 4 calls from the reception desk all during my 1hr Zoom work call to ask me when I was checking out. When I complained about the 6 interruptions, the front desk guy tells me over the phone verbatim “We are trying to run a business.” It was so incredibly inappropriate I could not wait to get my things and check out. What an awful way to end what was a mediocre stay at best. This place is trying to do it all, be a gym, a hotel, be cool and trendy but really the experience is like being away at an overnight camp at a crowded smelly gym with a disgusting pool and a mixture of pleasant and rude staff members.

At check in we were handed room keys and a piece of paper with all the amenities listed on it for the club. No information was provided for hours of anything or the guest policy etc. We were also never offered a tour/orientation or anything to the property and it’s a maze to find the locker rooms and where to go. How to lock lockers would have been nice. I felt like hotel guests are treated second-rate here to members. We were woken up every morning at 6 AM ish by loud banging (from the gym?) and our room basically shaking. The pillows were awful. Coffee was awful in the room. No room service available. The pool area was so crowded with people and kids all weekend you could barely find a chair. Front desk staff had to seek a manager for every question we asked. Basic questions. Also an elevator was broken the entire stay and being on the 5th floor meant waiting forever to get to/from the lobby. We won’t be staying here again. Maybe if you have kids it’s worth the price, but not for us.

Freezing in our room. Thermostat reads 62. Twice have asked it to be adjusted to 70 or 72. Nothing.

For the price I paid for one night and they don’t have makeup wipes they only had a make up towel. That was very disappointing.

We have stayed at the Midtown previously and access to the fitness facilities again was an amazing benefit for our family, especially in summer when the outdoor pool is available!

Great getaway to Chicago with a stay at The Hotel at Midtown.

I love staying here. It does get a little bit pricey, but the club itself is amazing!
The rooms are definitely getting a little tired. There was no coffee or coffee maker in my room, but the staff was quite prompt and getting it up to the room. I also wish the staff had been up-to-date on the actual lanes available for the outside pool for lab swim. I asked specifically if a lane was left open and I was told no. I would’ve easily gone down there to swim as it was open and quite clear from the general public until at least 10 AM.
The variety of classes in the instructors are generally quite exceptional.
Overall – I do enjoy staying here.

We were very pleased and impressed with your accommodations

The facility and property was excellent. I like the concept of hybrid hotel and fitness resort the only negative was at 6am people would start using the cross fit area and start dropping weights. This was somewhat annoying

The most pleasant surprise of a hotel experience. The hotel is actually nested within a boujee athletic club (think Equinox or Pro Sports Club), which we didn't realize before and was the most pleasant surprise. This means the amenities are almost 10x what would be included in a normal hotel. 2 swimming pools (indoor & outdoor), hot tubs, sauna AND steam room, spa services. state of the art locker room, poolside drinks and snacks, tennis, basketball, pickleball, and incredible gym facilities.
The only drawback to this, is that it can be quite loud during the day and mornings as you can sometimes hear heavy workout equipment falling or speakers of classes going on. It definitely was not a pleasant experience waking up to a workout class at 6am on a saturday (they should really rethink that when there's a hotel on the property), but was a trade for all the other amazing facilities that comes with.
Staff is super friendly and helpful. The cafe on site was delicious, and the rooms were spacious, clean, and updated. Would highly recommend to any one!

The Hotel @ Midtown was the perfect spot for my teenage daughter and I to stay after attending a concert at Wrigley! Extremely safe, Beautiful, clean, and very convenient! Easy on and off the expressway, easy family friendly dining in the area- even a grocery attached in the plaza! Uber picked us up and dropped off right at the lobby. Coffee at the coffee bar was fantastic. Overall I highly recommend!

Excellent hotel, particularly if you enjoy a pool and gym. It is the most amazing gym I have ever seen. Room and staff were great too. We will return!

I booked this hotel and there is a policy that wasn't listed on the website. Kids are not allowed in the pool after 3 PM. Check-in time isn't until 4 PM. How is that possible? That is a horrible rule for any family traveling to this property.

It was a short stay for us so I cannot review all of your facilities assets fairly as we didn’t use them. First impression of the room, nice but very minimal in decor. Bed and pillows were very comfortable which we were thankful for since we had a very busy day with family. My husband did not like that was was no clock in the room. Overall it was a nice room but not really worth the price we had to pay for it.

The facility is great for exercise options. Both pools are beautiful and comfortable. Just a little pricey and I didn’t realize we were getting charged a daily resort fee on top of already expensive rate. Wish we had more time to use tennis courts.

I am originally from Chicago and have never stayed at this hotel before. It was so clean, so convenient and such a treat for us when we came into town to visit. I would highly recommend this for anyone looking for a clean health club parking all of the above!

Location and parking OK. Picked because it was as close to wrigley as we could get. Amenity fee is a joke. Pool looked like the scene from caddy shack absolutely packed. Two tiny bottles of water. For 120.00 Room was OK. Definitely not 4 star. On highway side of building and traffic noise was bad. Not recommended.

Great place to stay! My teenage daughters were impressed! The restaurant was really good for breakfast in the morning.
