Property is right in the middle of everything if you want to be in the mix this is it. If you want a little quieter this is not for you. Other than that awesome hotel best location for a hotel on entire Island

Close to everything.
Staff was no help. There is no parking at hotel and the staff was unable to to offer any help. Got a golf cart for Saturday until sundy returned by noon for 80.00. To get one to use to help in parking the car somewhere for an hour or so was going to be charged an additional 80.00. Very noisy upstairs at around 500am. I think it is the help there. We will definitely find somewhere else with parking if we ever go back there.

We wanted a place in town so not to worry about drinking and driving. Perfect and right there.
It’s not a fancy hotel but the room was big, clean, good tv. Our room was second story and no elevator.
We could hear music from the bar next door.
Rental carts right there too with a good price.
We got exactly what they advertise this hotel to be.

Terrible experience here. I booked my stay through Expedia for 8/24 , Bash on the Bay.
Since the Bash was cancelled, i called the # to the hotel and was told I need to email regarding reservation questions. I reached out by email to the hotel to just inquire if I could get a refund IF I canceled my reservation or reschedule the booking to the new date of the concert. I received no reply. Assuming it was probably not going to be refunded if I cancelled, I decided I should at least get use of the room. I took the ferry over to put in bay and showed up at the hotel expecting to have a room to stay. The desk people at first told me that Expedia cancelled my reservation. When I called Expedia they said they still had my reservation showing active. Then the hotel desk said THEY cancelled my reservation due to the email I sent requesting it be “canceled” which was not in the email. It was simply inquiring about a refund if necessary or rescheduling. Also, the hotel never replied AT ALL to the email so why would they cancel my room & give it away with no cancellation confirmation?!! So I came all that way and paid $525 for 1 night which they took out 3 weeks beforehand and show up with no room to stay in!? The desk personnel kept brushing me off and saying there’s nothing they can do and that the owner needs to take care of it but he’s “not available.” How do you have no competent manager on duty?! The customer service was horrific and I will never do business with this place again

This was a nice place except i was under the impression their was a pool. The pool is actually a block away from the property. Wasn't informed of this until our second day there. I would recommend you ask questions and ask again to be sure. Other than that everyone was great

Went to check in around 5:30pm and was told room was still being cleaned despite the website saying check in is 4pm. I get a place being busy but having to wait an extra hour when all I wanted was to be in the room I had paid for is unacceptable, and the room didnt even looked like they had attempted to clean it.

We arrived at 2:00pm and were told we couldn’t check in yet and we understood since check in wasn’t technically until 4pm. Checked again at 4pm and told again our room wasn’t ready even though we had seen multiple guests check in and we asked when our room would be ready since it was check in time and they said come back at 5pm. Check in staff gave no apology or explanation and just said our room wasn’t ready. We came back at 5pm and they called the cleaning crew and we waited another few minutes and said they had just got done and we could check in.

We had the 2 room suite facing the lake. It was a lovely room, beds were comfortable and shower was nice and big. They don’t have numbers on the doors to tell you which room is which, I’m not sure if it’s a safety issue but it was a little confusing at first. We stayed o er night on a Sunday so the island was a bit quiet. I’m not sure how it would be on a Friday or Saturday. Also there’s no front desk or lobby, you check in at the same window as the golf cart rentals. We didn’t need anything so it wasn’t an issue for us.

The hotel was nice but we thought there should be a coffeemaker in the room and a small trash can in the sink area of the bathroom. Also, a box of Kleenex on the bathroom counter.

We liked how everything was right at your side or within walking distance. I didn’t like how dirty the room was. The floors didn't even look like they been slept or mopped for weeks. They need to start cleaning the rooms instead of just clean towels.

The rooms we had we very spacious with a full fridge but not all room’s are like that we got 3 rooms only 2 had the full fridge the other had a college fridge, all rooms had a microwave to . Walls are thin and if you like a firm mattress then it’s perfect for you . Overall still a good place will be returning. And it’s smack dead in the middle of everything we didn’t even need a golf cart we just walked . Good for a group of friends

Not a room you would want to spend a lot of time in, but better than I expected for a Put in Bay hotel. It was clean, newer bathroom remodel, and an easy walk from the Jet Express and literally on the strip with all the bars and restaurants.

It was not a good experience. First of all the beds and pillows were terrible. The bed are old and squeak every time you move. No WiFi
No phone in the room, the bar next door blasted music til 2am with people screaming. At 4am several men were fighting out side our window. With no phone or WiFi we couldn’t call the police.

Smoke alarm had a plastic bag covering it up. Obviously not working. Room had a smell to it. Spiders galore. Hair dryer not working. No internet. They offer cart coupons online, but no where on website to use the coupon and they did not honor the paper coupon upon check in.

The hotel was clean, however we found a bedbug on the incoming towels. 😒. We reported it to the staff and either they weren't surprised or didn't care.
Things you should know:
1) Rooms are on the 2nd floor - no elevator and the stairway is enclosed with open hallway/balcony. The stairway light is on a motion sensor, but when it doesn't work you need to be very careful.
2) No coffee in the rooms.
3) The pool is not on site. It's two blocks down and two blocks around the corner at the Put-in-Bay Resort. The pool was nice and has a swim up bar. There was also a DJ there playing a variety of music.
4) Golf carts are rented at the resort - you really don't need one, you can walk everywhere. If you want to get out of town and explore the island, rent one for a few hours. Also, they will keep your credit card until you return the cart!
5) The curtains don't close tightly, so the gaps let others see in as they walk by. We used tennis shoes to weight down and keep the curtain closed.
6) This hotel is right on the main drag, so party goers are hootin' & hollerin' until the bars close and the police get people settled down. (Great if you're going for a senior break party, not great if you're going for a relaxing vacation.)
7) Our TV remote wasn't working, the mechanic came up within 5 minutes.
Bottom line, would I go back to this hotel? I don't think so. I think I'd try to find something with a pool on site and not quite in the same location on the main road.

Inside the rooms are spacious and looks like they are attempting to update the rooms. But general cleanliness was lacking. Entry door was filthy. There were greasy looking handprints on the head board. Also hand prints above the toilet. There was a blanket thrown behind the bedroom door on the floor. Guessing it was supposed to be taken out by housekeeping and they forgot. Location was perfect. No water views despite be called Edgewater Hotel but we weren’t really concerned by that. Staff was nice enough. Check in was easy. They have golf cart rentals right at the same window you check into the hotel which is convenient.

This is more of a motel than hotel but exceeded my expectations of a motel. When we arrived, I didn’t know what to expect from the outside but the rooms have been updated and look very nice. They were clean and spacious and conveniently located downtown where all the action is. Not too much need for a golf cart since everything is in the same area but you can rent one right where you check in for your room! Very much convenient

We were charged over $50 more than the listed price on Hotels.com, with nobody able to tell us why.
It is a bad sign when a hotel does not have any services or phone for half the day and has a plunger in the bathroom. After 10 minutes of plunging, I still couldn't get the toilet to flush (water would slowly drain, but it didn't actually flush) and our party of 6 gave up on the bathroom, because nobody is on the property to solve maintenence problems. They are only available during golf cart rental hours.
Cell service can vary greatly. Our carrier decided we were in Canada, so we had no service unless we wanted to pay international fees. The room contains no information about services, contacts, or amenities.
Most of the amenities listed on hotels.com are public services of other companies or parks. They have nothing to do with Edgewater.
About half the times I tried to get something from the hotel, the only person available was literally a ~10 year old watching the desk. I am sure if I had waited another 10 minutes, I would have been able to talk to an adult.
The actual location is fantastic if you want to be in the center of Put-In-Bay. The furniture is nice and the kitchenette is a full size refrigerator and a microwave. We never turned on the tvs, but the balcony outside our room was a great spot to people watch.
You may hear loud live music until ~1 AM.
