Basic of the basic no tea or coffee facility and rooms were very cold and bare no table no chair

Great value, better than expected. Simple place for one night stay near Gatwick. Room could definitely do with some renovations, fix peeling wallpaper and not sure why they have wood trim in the shower area that’s rotting a bit. Also if the reservation is for two people they should have two towels.

Stayed for 3 nights on the 4th floor which was mostly quiet building seems . Very convenient location and property especially for Gatwick flyers. This establishment is very close to East Croyden Railway Station, Tram-link & bus services. Sainsbury local for grocery items. All literally 2 minutes walking distance. Room was small but cozy & clean, bathroom is an open plan setting; shower toilet sink in one space all together. I did not like that there was no table space to rest anything or closet space to hang items.

The room smelled like smoke, which wasn’t very practical for someone with autism.. The wallpaper was ripped off multiple places. The receptionist was very kind though

Lousy!!! Really lousy. Also in comparison to the price. Not a bedlight - roomlights to be turned off by the door, only one tiny bin in the room. No hanger for the wet wintercoat. No possibility to dry towel (one per 4 days...), no holder for toiletroll, water all over bathroom after shower. Asked for a hairdryer: got one on day 3. Mouldy smell in room during full stay. For me travelling with a suitcase - a problem. Nowhere to place it. Only chair in the room was the toilet. Not kidding: worst booking I ever made.

I’ve already written to the chief executive of easyHotel to complain about this hotel. The management here seem to have decided to either lock guests in or gone too far in trying to keep other people out. You can’t get out of the hallway and into reception without your room key. No push button for the unsuspecting guests here. I got caught out by this, but fortunately a staff member let me out. Far more concerning than this social commentary was the fact that the thermostat in my room was defective and decided to default to 27C all night. This is undescribably hot and uncomfortable. I drank a litre and a half of water overnight before I ran out at 3am and downed a litre the following morning when I made it to a shop. I felt absolutely terrible and burst into tears at reception when I told them about it. They sympathetically told me I could have called down to reception so it could be reset manually, but I’m not convinced that this is the solution (particularly as the number isn’t displayed anywhere). They really should be maintaining their hotel better. That said, I wasn’t surprised. The room was scabby. Wallpaper was peeling off, the bathroom was displaying the first signs of damp damage and my bed hadn’t been made properly. I assume it was the cleaner’s hair that I found draped around my towel. I get that it’s cheap but I think we should expect better. Also, getting there was a nightmare on foot. The road was impossible to cross easily and safely.

It is a good hotel in a very accessible area. Good for the price. However, there is no table or chair in the room, this is not good.

There is no where to park a car if you have a medical reason or problem the staff dnt want to no the staff are not friendly

It is a very budget 2* hotel at a convenient location right Near East Croydon station. There is NO surface area to put anything on only a hook to hang a coat...Anything else you may have will be on the floor or the bed itself. The walls are thin and you can hear everyone. If you just need a very basic rest and clean up then it is convenient. Most definitely not made for comfort.

No nearby parking or legal ca passenger drop-off. Tiniest bedroom in the world, but clean. Reception excellent. Almost next to late night shopping and major rail station and large taxi rank and some bus and tram services: 3 minutes walk! But no noise!! If all you want is a bed with TV sitting in bed, excellent value for money. Don't expect a seat or table or coffee!

The reception staff was very unhelpful and not friendly.in the room no side tables to leave your stuff.

Smallest room I've ever stayed in , no kettle in room and we have flee bits on our legs to say the least 🙃

This hotel is an easy quick option from the collection of hotels found around Gatwick.

Zero issues, clean room, spacious for what I needed it for. Slept perfectly well and there no issue with noise. Would stay again

Room was incredibly basic. No full length mirror and only mirror in bathroom, which is a wet room kinda so, hard to get ready in - no plugs near by either. Wouldn’t recommend staying if you need to get ready for a wedding/event etc.

The accessibility of the hotel from the train station is very good but don’t expect too much. It is a budget hotel but very basic even for a budget hotel. There are no tables or shelves and only one coat hook. There is an alarm clock on the tv but the time on the tv was incorrect which is not helpful. For a one night stay it is ok.

We stayed for 2 nights. The room was very small but we expected that much for what we paid. However the space was difficult when there was no bedside table to charge phones. Then in the bathroom. The shower curtain was stained and the toilet was filthy like it had never been cleaned at all full of stains.

Not a chair, cup, table, or ledge to put things on. Location was very good. OK restaurants nearby. Be warned this is a very budget place.

The room was clean and the hotel was very good.

The room was like sweatbox at times because the window didn’t open luckily there was air con. The toilet and shower was all walk in so there was very little space to move around. The shower head leaked water in the bathroom every time you turnt the shower on overall poor facilities.

The space is so small especially if you are claustrophobic. I kept banhing my toes at the bed frame on my eay tp the bathroom.

Booked two nights, non-refundable. Didn't stay one. The room was incredibly claustrophobic. I've seen pictures of more spacious prison cells. Can't blame the hotel for not letting the windows open properly, either. While incarcerated here, some inmates, um, I mean guests, might prefer to take a head first dive out of the window rather than endure staying here. It really is that bad. They don't even have bedside tables. So where are you supposed to put your glasses or phone? The floor is filthy and insect infested. Outside the room the carpets and walls look they have been ravaged by marauding zombies. We left and found a different hotel.

Both rooms I booked had black marks on bedding one room was next to lift which caused noise throughout the night and in room two no water coming out tap or shower.

Hotel basic but clean and comfortable. Good value and would recommend it for business and solo visitors.
