Lovely stay in a beautiful, historic chateau! The staff was warm and welcoming, the room was lovely, and we felt like we were stepping back in time! Breakfast was a lovely way to start every morning before heading out to explore the beautiful Loire Valley. Highly recommended!

Our three-night stay at Château de Nazelles in Amboise was truly an unforgettable experience! 🇫🇷
What makes this château so unique is that we actually stayed in a cave room carved into the hillside—a one-of-a-kind experience that felt like stepping back in time. Our room had its own private hot tub and sauna, making the combination of historic charm and modern comfort absolutely perfect.
The château dates back to the 1500s, and staying here gave us the feeling of literally living in another era. From the beautifully maintained grounds to the incredible historic setting, every detail made the experience special. We also really appreciated how environmentally conscious the property is.
The staff were exceptionally helpful, friendly, and responsive throughout our stay. We loved the honor system, which gave the property such a warm, relaxed, and personal feel. Another favorite was the upper-level area where we could sit, relax, and take in the beautiful views of the surrounding area.
This was so much more than just a place to stay—it was an experience that felt like going back in time, while still enjoying wonderful modern amenities.
We absolutely loved our stay and would return in a heartbeat. If you’re visiting the Loire Valley and looking for something truly unique, Château de Nazelles is a gem! ❤️🇫🇷
