A good spot to stay in Kinosaki. The room itself was pretty outdated with an old tv - I really enjoy when hotel TV's have casting capabilities which this one did not. But the service and meals service was excellent, it's a self-serve buffet style dining which is great if you're a slightly fussy eater like myself.
A little disappointed that the room view was blocked by netting for maintenance, which Inwas advised prior to arrival but after booking. I think some form of discount would have been nice for the inconvenience considering I had booked a river view room.

The rooms are spacious and have a pretty view of the river though do not opt for the cot if you cannot get a triple
Buffet is generous but does not change so recommend not prebooking food if staying more than one night. For breakfast and dinner it’s decent but to gets repetitious.
Walkable to town but not central. Does have limited shuttle service.

Beautiful view overlooking the river. Everything super clean, and great breakfast and dinner buffet. Location is excellent, can walk all over town and easy to get to/from train station. Be aware, the onsen is not tattoo friendly, there are others in town that allow tattoos, but this is not one of them. Regardless, Highly recommend.
