Auberge Knowlton is quaint and clean but not the place for anyone with physical disabilities.
The adjacent Bistro Le Relais is a great asset. Particularly in wintry conditions.

Very rustic and friendly town.

I enjoyed the auberge which helped inspire some of Louise Penny’s Three Pines mysteries. Loved exploring the area.

Love staying at the property. Super clean and friendly staff.
If you have a hard time with stairs you might have some issues

This is a charming rural hotel that is small dog friendly. Great restaurant downstairs, and free Level 2 EV charging around back.
The area is quite affluent, so be prepared for inflated price tags in the local chops. Also, there were a lot of loud car yahoos attempting to compensate for their masculine shortcomings.

Nothing special

Our room was comfortable and decorated simply but pleasantly. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
We had dinner downstairs. We were slightly disappointed in the food and the service.

Lovely place to stay. Great people and a wonderfully casual yet good restaruant. One word of warning--the hotel is only on the second floor and there is no elevator.

It was good place to stay, only wish restaurant was open more ... but was an excellent stay

Very friendly staff all round- housekeeping and front desk and Baxter

Some mostly negatives as follows: 3rd fl steep walkup was a surprise as was the “check in” being on the second floor and no elevator. Old wooden inn with no sprinkler system. Small room, but queen bed was OK, nice bath but large step-over to use shower in the tub. Couldn’t work TV and Roku even though we have own at home but help was provided after we called for help. Nice outdoor terrace but mediocre dinner with worst burnt french fries ever. Would not go back even if we had a comp room but we are an 80 year old couple but normally not so fussy!! You decide.

Lovely, historic inn. The street noise can be intense in the evening (motorcycles and trucks). We loved the terrasse on the upper level to enjoy coffee and relax. Many interesting shops and restaurants nearby. Many lovely walking trails also. The staff is responsive to needs. No breakfast options seemed to be open while we were there.

Very friendly people the lady who checked us in waited until we got there, which was after hours and then treated us very well. One thing I was disappointed in was the fact that the restaurant was not open in the morning for any kind of breakfast at all. In fact, no restaurant was open for any kind of breakfast before 9 o’clock and most were open at 11:30. The room was fine simple but just what I needed. They have a great upper balcony for coffee in the morning however, in the summer it is very noisy as it’s right at the main intersection in town and there are a lot of cars going through there.

Loved the porch!! And the flowers...
It was nice to have a room to make coffee and have a snack.

A sweet inn in the center of a sweet town. The staff was extremely friendly, our bed comfortable, and suite #1 provided plenty of room for us - living area, step up to roomy bed area, and bathtub/shower combo in bathroom. The hotel rooms are located on the second and third floors (accessible by stairs). Restaurants within minimum walking distance and one downstairs with outdoor seating.

Everyone was very nice to us and helpful. Lication is wonderful--could walk to so much.
Elevator sure would be nice. Carrying all our things ip the stairs was not easy.

Very old building means lots of steep, narrow stairs. Creaky floors. Excellent person at reception. Room was small and bathroom was tiny.

In the middle of the village for easy access to everything. The owners greeted us in a very friendly manner.

The hotel was very clean and well kept. My father doesn't speak any French and the were very quick to find a staff member who could communicate in English. He really appreciated that. The attached restaurant was excellent. The only problem we had with the noise from the street. We could hear it in the room until quite late. It made it hard to relax and get to sleep. Otherwise, it was a great stay.

My mom received a pretty rude and non pleasant welcome when she checked in (a woman that was there to help but not an employee). But all the rest of the personnel / employees where super nice. Hotel is nice, difinitly a unique antique style, room is comfortable. The Hotel is located in the heart of Knowlton, which is great.

If visiting the Eastern Townships of Québec is a step back in time, so is the Auberge. There's some charm to the quaintness, and the duck-centric accoutrements in the restaurant and front porch draw a smile, but with no rooms on the ground floor, guests must climb a steep flight of stairs at least.
In the room, a loud exhaust fan in the bathroom and aging, somewhat rickety furniture took some of the charm. No breakfast is offered except on weekends. The only coffee available comes through a K-cup, and if you're planning on an early guided tour be aware that none of the three cafés within walking distance opens before 8 a.m. (unless you drive to the Tim Horton's a mile away).
Nice staff even if the limited facilities hamper them too.

A pretty building and pleasant room. Very accommodating, kind and helpful host and housekeeping staff! A great area for walkers and shoppers, especially those visitors interested in Louise Penny's Three Pines novels.
Restaurant at the Auberge wasny open while we were there but looked inviting.

We loved being in the middle of Knowlton. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Our only concern was we were on the 3rd floor with no elevator and very steep stairs. A lady who worked there was so kind and helped us with our luggage.

Everything about the hotel and room was great. But at the restaurant downstairs was a bit disapointing ther menu was redusted to just 1 page not a lot of options (du to covid) and the shortage of staff... And no breakfast during the week just on weekends. But still a great place to go! People wer very nice everywher we whent! Shopping was fun. A lot od local stuff!

the hotel is very convenient to what we were doing.
However the bed in room 5 needs upgrading as it noisy and was worn and the lock on the door needs to be fixed as it felt like it would fall off. But the price was right so we were happy.

Room was lovely and clean. Great location. Shower did not work property. Impossible to contact staff. I called 5 times, no answer. I emailed twice, no reply. When I got there, no staff. My husband arrived earlier and had to wait about 20 for someone to show up.

I have stayed at Auberge Knowlton a number of times and am always pleased with the experience. The rooms are clean, the bed comfy, and the staff is welcoming and friendly. I was disappointed that the inn no longer serves breakfast but, given the complications that the pandemic created for the hospitality industry, it is understandable and I hope they will be able to resume that option for guests. We had dinner there and were delighted by the service and the meal in the cozy atmosphere.

I have stayed at Auberge Knowlton on a few previous occasions and always find the rooms clean, reasonably priced, and convenient to everything in downtown Knowlton as well as Lac-Brome.
There is occasional confusion if you arrive late as the desk is not always staffed, however, the Relaise Restaurant staff on the first floor is always helpful (and serves good food, too).

Our room did not have a view. Not enough coffee.

Comfortable beds, powerful showers, friendly and attentive staff, and a lovely restaurant. Pretty much all you need!

Centrally located and easy access. Friendly staff.
