Quaint location in an historical building. Some uneven floorboards and doors would get stuck, but that’s to be expected ina building several hundred years old.

Really nice hotel, well decorated, great breakfast and bar meals. Would use again.

Returned after a couple of weeks and given a different room.
TV worked fine this time so full marks.
Had a wander down to the river Wear which has a lovely walk following the river and onto the nature reserve.
Had chicken tikka curry for dinner which was very tasty.
Breakfast excellent as always.
