Really nice place to stay, I'd come back for a short stay again. The full English breakfast was good, my friend thought that his pancakes were under done, the scrambled eggs were out of a packet & watery. The bar was well stocked with a reasonable selection of beers. The only downside was that they don't serve food after 1600 on a Sunday.

We had a lovely 2 day break at the Park Head Hotel. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and top quality. Our dog, Tilly was well looked after too.
Barnard castle and the surrounding area are beautiful with some great walks along the river.

The hotel in situated in a lovely location and we found it to be very quite we suited us nicely. We had breakfast and evening meal and we could not fault it. We normally stay in the travel lodge when we go up to Bishop Auckland but we will use the Park Head in future.

All the staff are very friendly and thats what makes this hotel the great place it is. The food is nice. I had a lovely pie there. The breakfast choice is good.
The room is clean. The only negative is the bathroom needs updating. It was a bit shabby.
This is the 2nd time ive stayed here and I would definitely stay again.
